"I'm more intrested in their bounties myself. Saving the day gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling, but it doesn't pay gold," Xander said.

"Greed is a dangerous thing, my friend. Who knows how many others are after that same bounty and will kill people that stand in their way?" He raised a brow, inquiringly. "But that doesn't matter to me, I care not for hunting bounties."

"Then I shall not tell you my name Xander. You will first have to see what kind of person I really am and only then I will give you my name."

Watching the events unfold, the half-elf figured that he would wait to make his decisions about these people. "I'm RD, a half-elf probly older than your grandma." Quiet and patient, the half-elf would wait, his hands close to his sides.

"Well, I'd love to stick around and chat, but I have stuff to do. May the light brighten your paths." With a smile me started off, slowly fading as he left, a crystal rose left on the ground, glowing with an inner fire.

"Side-effects of very old magic." Watching the un-named elf walk away, RD thought about the current group. One seeming bounty-hunter, and a girl who is being hunted. "I see that I'm not the only elf to use that kind of thing as a parting gift."
"What do you know about the badits?"

(Hope ya don't mind me joining; need a distraction and have an urge to RP a baddie XD)
A large black dog padded near-silently through the forest, pausing every so often to sniff at this or that, or cocking it's head to listen to some unperceptable sound before continuing on. Behind, moving even more silently, followed a tall, strikingly thing elven woman, dressed in a black tunic and divided riding skirts (though there was no horse anywhere nearby). What little of her skin showed was fairly pale, though not unnaturally so by elven standards, and though she wore a hood, a few strands of hair -- blue hair -- fell onto her shoulders and face. Her green eyes were outlined in charcoal.
The hound, catching on finally to some sort of sent, loped of at a faster pace, and the woman followed several steps behind, moving more cautiously and taking careful note of her soroundings; she was one of those that always took careful note of their soroundings. The kind that searched for minor sounds and shadows in forests and scanned rooftops for snipers in cities. She made it a point not to make the same kinds of mistakes that she exploited in others.
The dog finally stopped, crouching behind heavy shrubs, and only a sharp nod from the elf kept it from growling.
"Well, well." she whispered, her eyes focusing from behind branches and leaves at the group before her. She felt, and then saw, the magic around them, especially when one of the company left. Magic was -- a complication. Not that she didn't have her own, but it was always easier when the [prey/victims/opponents] didn't. When she was outnumbered, and several had magic -- some men might call it cowardice to avoid such confrontation, but she saw no problem in waiting for a more opportune moment.
The woman was very good at waiting.

"Bah. Necromancers. Never trust 'em. People of that sort never pay you for your troubles, they just try to kill you once you finish the job. That's why their henchman are so inept," stated the armor clad elf.
"Might check the local Adventure's Guilds to see if there's a bounty on him. That'd be worth my time."

"Specialists and fanatics rarely can see things as they truly are. Also, there are possible leads to other bounties. It is a unusual thing for me to go for a bounty. I might allow you to collect if I make the kill, or capture." There was something out there, hiding. Whatever it is he sensed, it was staying low key by not useing magic. Basic tactics, don't do what will alert people till you are ready, or want them to know you are there.
"I don't know what your experience is, but mine is that a moving target is harder to hit." Wisdom, not power would keep people safe. Life, just a complex game of chess.

Cassandra022 (Hope ya don't mind me joining; need a distraction and have an urge to RP a baddie XD) ((Not at all the more the marrier :3)) "hmm... checking to see if there's a bounty on him... thing is I'm not sure what his name is, I only know what he looks like. I'm pretty sure I'm one of the few who saw him and lives." She could sense something behind them but wasn't sure where exatly it was. After years of being hunted she had always has the feeling that she was being watched.

((I think I'll introduce Silver, my platinum dragon. I got him from some thread not long after joining gaia. He appears in many of the RPs that I play as myself, if I can work him in. He is friendly, but is chaotic good aligned... so don't think he'll obey all the laws.))
He smirked, talking in a accented draconic to his friend. A loud rumble was the reply, though quiet for a Platinum Dragon. With a few deft hops he climbed up the front leg and slowly moved up to a flat area on Silver's head. With a airsplitting roar the big beast rises, standing just above the smaller trees with his head in with the tallest. A quick, carefully made, run and wings pumping, he took to the air, circling for altitude.
