Alma awoke several hours later fully rested, and healed climbing out of the tree she stretched a little looking around. "Let's see... what will I kill today..." She said looking around seeing several menos grande walking around nearby. Getting on all fours she dashed towards them with her tail whipping back and forth kicking up dust. Amazed at how much faster she could move now she ran past the hollows several times slashing them with her claws each time. Stopping in front of them she looked up watching them fall to pieces, and began to devour each of them with a satisfied grin.
Feeling a large spiritual pressure approaching her she stood upright with her tail waving slowly behind her head. Seeing something coming she smiled thinking of her new meal, and what it might taste like. An Adjucha was approaching her slowly the ground freezing behind it as it walked. Alma walked slowly forward to get a good look at what it was. Looking it up and down she thought it resembled turtle in a few ways, but she could tell it was a female. "Finally maybe this will be a worthy opponent..." She said aloud walking closer to her new prey, and stopping rather close getting the girls attention.
"What?!" The turtle girl yelled looking rather pissed that Alma had even walked near her. "I wanna kill you and eat you." Alma replied cheerfully mocking the girl's serious reaction. Raising her tail as a sign of serious a challenge. The girl looked aggravated, and raised her hand towards Alma. A split second later a beam shot out of her palm literally even freezing the air between them. Running to her right she dodged the beam, and shot forward before the girl could react slamming her tail into her stomach and sending her flying. The turtle girl got up with a scratch on her, and gave Alma a snarl.

"Well well, You're not one of the weak insects are you?" The Girl asked her as she brought up her tail halfway. "Not even close, I just eat them... Like I will you after I overpower you..." Alma said seriously telling herself she would overcome every single obstacle that dared get in her way of becoming a Vasto Lorde.
"I guess i should at least tell you my name since you've got guts little girl..." The girl told her as she raised her hand slowly. "Before I turn you into a popsicle... My name is... Alexia..." With these words she shot another ice beam towards her. Alma ran to her left to avoid it, but her tail got caught in the blast. She saw the girl move her hand more towards Alma, and she noticed her tail get colder. Slamming her tail with all her might she broke the ice off, and sent herself into the air. Spinning rapidly she shot thirty spikes from various places on her, and then shot towards Alexia. The series of explosions caught Alexia in the blast knocking her back a bit, but not taking her out. Alexia's shell seemed to have cracked, and she was leaking a little blood.
Alma felt her body collide with something very cold, and she continued to spin hard against it. Alexia had seen her coming, and had time to blast an ice beam toward her. Alma was determined to break through the constant ice blast slowly carving her way through. Her scales were slowly giving her the advantage as she spun against the wall, but she was losing momentum. Feeling it push a little harder Alma finally blasted through the ice wall, and collided with Alexia. Slowly cutting through her shell Alma thought she would get her now, but she felt an odd cold and pushed herself off with her tail. Landing a bit away she looked up to see Alexia inside her shell caked in ice.

Alma flicked her tail knocking away the remaining shards of ice from under her scales. "So, you're pretty much entirely safe in their huh..." She said looking at Alexia's shell while thinking carefully what to do next. Climbing back out of her shell Alexia stared down Alma. "Yeah, pretty much. And you'll never get through this shell either." She said proudly as if many people had tried it before. Alma looked on a little annoyed at the insult, but she realized that the girl was probably right. She had to be very carefully about this fight, and think out every move. "I guess we'll see huh..." She replied to the girl stalling for more time to think as they stared each other down.
Alexia made the first move jumping into the air, and she decided to wait a little first before moving. Alexia went into her shell and began spinning, sending out various beams of ice freezing everything nearby. Seeing this Alma charged forward slipping on the ice a few times, but then getting used to clawing the ice for balance. Alexia then shifted the spin downward to try and catch her, but Alma jumped up right away at an angle to slip past the ice beam. Coming up behind her Alma slammed her tail into the shell sending Alexia rocketing into the ground below. Landing on the ground she slid a little before catching herself, and looked around for Alexia.

Alma looked into the debris just in time to see Alexia climb out, but she barely had a scratch on her. "Damn... Thought I had her for a second." She mumbled to herself readying herself for the rest of this encounter. Alexia seemed to be very irritated by her assault, and slammed her hands into the ground. Just after this several icicles began shooting out of the ground heading straight for her. With barely enough time to react she jumped backwards for extra time, but one of the icicles shot out farther. Slamming into Alma's skin it started to crack her scales, and she crashed her tail through the ice before it could stab through her.
"That was too close..." Alma said to herself as she charged Alexia on all fours, and began to charge a cero at her tail's tip. Alexia fired ice beam after ice beam at Alma as she swerved away from all of them gaining ground quickly. Alexia shot down into her shell as Alma neared, and she grinned widely as her opponent caked her shell in ice. Reaching Alexia she raised her tail firing the cero at point blank range. Watching the ice shatter she slammed her tail into the shell with a back-flip sending her directly into the air.
Smiling widely she jumped up under her opponent going to punch her, but Alexia popped out of the shell to catch the punch. "You fell for it..." Alma said sliding her tail in the shell behind Alexia's neck, and fired all the scales before pulling it back out. With a head butt she sent the cocky Adjucha to the ground before she exploded sending chucks of shell everywhere. Landing on the ground roughly she pulled herself back up stumbling a little. "Well, that took a bit of energy, but it's time to feed..." Alma said flinging what was left of the battered corpse over her shoulder, and walking to an area with no ice.

Alma savagely ripped piece after piece of hollow flesh into her drooling mouth. She felt so good, so powerful, and... a feeling she hadn't felt for quite some time... A powerful feeling from deep inside her. Excitedly she devoured each little piece savoring every tiny bit she ripped off her last opponent. She would enjoy this feast more than any before cause she knew deep down this is the meal that would change her. This was the meal that would make her more powerful than ever before. She had finally surpassed this form, finally realized her dream, this was the greatest moment in her death.
Standing up after the last bite her body seemed to pulsate from within. Letting the energy within flow throughout her she raised her reiatsu to its highest point. Literally crushing everything around her the reiatsu created a rather sizable crater. The black reiatsu sprawled around her enveloping everything, and she couldn't seem to control it anymore. After covering quite a bit of the underground it rapidly shot back into her body. Encased in the dark reiatsu Alma laughed manically as it shattered falling from her body. Looking herself over she was quite a bit more like a human with mild lizard features. Her tail was smaller, but she was still covered in scales.
Jumping straight up Alma blasted through the sand of Heuco Mundo, and looked around seeing her target. In her new form she was finally ready to go, and discover something she had wanted to know. Running towards Los Noches Alma discovered she was even faster than she had been in her Adjucha form. Realizing this she went to get on all fours before noticing her legs weren't lizard like enough for that. Shrugging it off not being used to this new body she continued how she was rapidly approaching her target. Reaching the palace like area she realized it would've taken at least a day before the transformation, but with her new power it had only taken a few hours. And the rest... is an entirely different story for another time...
