 Anna and Biscuit
Anna and Biscuit felt their little eyes get heavy just as a huge gust of wind blew a bunch of snow into the den. Shivering they, cuddled closer to the other two and got warm again. A yawn escaped Anna's mouth as she rested her head on Biscuit's back and closed her eyes. Soon enough, the two babies were asleep.
((I'll bring in the other rat as soon as I get him in my journal))

 Cyrus and Malachai
They'd been walking for a while now. Merritime was coming up and the snow had already started to fall. Presents were growing on the trees and it seemed to have a good turnout this year. Cyrus wasn't interested though, in the presents that is, because all he wanted for Merritime was his daughter, Biscuit, back. The day she got lost was the day that kept running through his head. As they ran through the snow, their tiny feet leaving tracks behind them, Cyrus looked down at his son, Malachai. Even though he was very very young and vulnerable, the little guy had bravery and spunk, which is why he was coming with his father to find his beloved little sister, hopefully alive.
Malachai had to admit, he was a little scared as to what they would find if and when they found his sister. She was so timid and vulnerable. Admittedly, he was too, but not nearly as much as she. Seeing her cute little face again would make him smile, because all he felt now was guilt becuase he didn't protect her that day. Looking down at the snow, the thought of Merrtime kind of confused him, but he was sure it would all come together when the time came.
As they kept walking, Cyrus picked up on a scent. Looking around, he found what looked like the opening to a den. Sniffing again, he could smell a skunk, two rats, and a....a....FOX?! Panic ran through his body. Rats were always afraid of things bigger than they were so the scent of a fox near where his child might be made him scared. Malachai picked up on it too, and they crept up to the mouth of the den, poking their heads inside to see the fox and three little fury, sleeping, creatures sleeping with her tail wrapped around them.

 Cyrus and Malachai
Malachai looked up at his father for a signal to move forward. After a moment's hesitation, he took a few cautious steps forward, when anticipation took him over and they both went running into the burrow. Looking into the little nest, they saw the little one they'd been missing for so long with a rat that had the same markings as Malachai. "Dad, I can't believe it," Malachai whispered, peering down at his little sister. Reaching a paw over, he placed it on the tiny creature's shoulder, as if checking if she were actually there. I know son. Let them sleep for now."
Cyrus looked up at the fox. "And may I ask what your name is? And how you found my daughter and her friend?" Cyrus said curiously. Rats are curious, but Cyrus was certain that the children were safe with this fox. Malachai curled up near the edge of the den with his little tail wrapped around his body. Closing his eyes, he tried to drift off to sleep while his father and the fox talked, even though it was cold.

 Cyrus and Malachai
Cyrus smirked, looking down at his daughter. "That's so like her. Risking her neck to be a little more comfortable. I assume her friend went first? Biscuit is very timid and probably followed so she wouldn't be alone in the cold and look like an idiot. Which makes sense." Cyrus looked up at the fox. " I don't assume your dirty little trick entailed your hurting them, since you probably would've done it already, which I thank you for."
Looking down at the little skunk, Cyrus added, "So how did you end up with the little one there?"

 Cyrus and Malachai
Cyrus nodded, then turning his head to the mouth of the den, where his attention was taken to the heavily blowing snow everywhere. "Seems to have a lot of snow this winter. Merritime is in full bloom." Looking at his children, he saw that Malachai had fallen asleep curled up against the wall of the den.
"Well, I guess you gotta do what you need to to live. I know how that feels." Cyrus sighed, wondering how they were going to get back to the nest. They had some rabbit companions not far from this den that had a burrow, but with so many more kittens it was bound to be crowded in all the nests. Sniffing around, Cyrus could smell the presents on the trees. It wouldn't be long until they fell down and they'd feast for months.

 Cyrus and Malachai
Cyrus nodded. "I cannot risk my children's lives again tonight. We will move later when the storm has ceased, if you don't mind." Sniffing about, Cyrus then skittered over to his son and picked him up by his scruff, making sure not to wake him. Setting the baby rat at his feet, he laid down beside him, keeping him warm.
There was a stir from the mass of fur inside the fox's tail. A few moments later, a tiny black and neon head poked out between the long fur on the fox's tail. Cyrus saw his daughter and smiled. Biscuit squirmed a little and jumped out of the little nest, running over to her father. "Daddy!" she squealed, jumped on him in a tackle. They exchanged greetings and then settled down, making sure not to wake the others. Cyrus smiled at Hitori. "This Merritime has proved to be very interesting. Once the storm ceases, the presents should be ripe where we live, so we'll be taking all of those into our nests to keep us fed for a few months. "

Rin-tu Leon and Noel Lilani Hitori
Come on, lets get going." the blonde fox continued to lead the troupe out of the den and out into the melting snow. The ringtail cat, who had shown itself in the middle of hte night, was already darting for the trees, her blue striped pelt shimmering in the morning. She chattered down to the twins, who were bounding about and rolling around, getting dirty as usual, with rin-tu in tow...
These skunks were going ot be the death of her.
