I've been dreading the release of //LINK ever since I first heard of it. The storyline that I heard, as much of it that I've actually paid attention to, just seemed like another Tsukasa. I don't dislike Tsukasa or anything, but two different characters being stuck in The World in separate storylines? Just seems like Bandai and whoever are running out of creativity.
I've just got a strong feeling that if //LINK is the final installment in the .hack franchise, then the franchise is going to end in disappointment.

If you become great at game development you can get a job there.
D;
Other than that, you can expect all fan-based made Dot Hack games to be all there is in the future (for online play).
However, I really want to be one of those that makes a fan-based Dot Hack.
Get a good team gathered and just start cracking on it.

And even if it did go through, you'd probably be really constrained by whatever your head designer wants. You'd probably be better off forgoing CC2 all together and doing it indie like everyone else is saying. That way you have all the control you want and have better communication with your team because you' be the one choosing them and not the other way around.

Their Xth forms look amazing, but I do agree that they shouldn't have given like all of the characters an Xth form. The Xth form was suppose to be special. They're making it un-special now. :c

Well, I do know of a one group in particular that used to post in the official Dot Hack forums. They really needed all the help they could get, and even switched their project from 2D to 3D. You guys heard of ETTC? Well, that was the group. I'm not sure if they're continuing any more. But they were going to offer customization, a good amount of worlds, and the like. It was going to look very similar to The World.
But like I said, they may be broken up now. Because their own set of forums is even really empty. :/

fk12 Ayekasong fk12 Link depresses me, too, but that's a whole different can of worms there... Agreed. Hopefully the game doesn't suck as much as the manga. Considering they're giving everyone Xth forms, not just the 8 epitaph users, I... sincerely doubt it. T__________________________________T I almost don't want to buy it now. If it's going to suck this much, I would have rather had G.U. be the end.

I don't mind the xth forms for some...
but for others it's just outrageous.
I'll play the game JUST because it's in the .hack series... but Right now I think it will suck horribly.

Kenshi13 Naota3 ok thank u for posting this but don't be one of hit and run newbies Hate thoughs D: And I don't think it will be that last one .hack// has lots of potential it does but i think they are at a slow decline after .hack//unplugged came out :O

we dont fully know what link will be because of the demo versons and actual versions will not have a english translation for a while
