"Blue just gets a bad wrap," she said with a little sigh, reaching up with her good hand to grab a small portion of her bangs, giving them a little tug. "I don't think it looks very sad at all, honestly. Gray is much more say in my opinion, but I guess it just doesn't sound as neat in songs." That was her theory on the matter anyway. As far as she was concerned, blue was a happy color. "Blue is the color of the sky. Well," she paused and glanced up with a little squint, "usually, anyway."
She had been staring at the sky while Mack was down on the ground, so when her sudden 'aha' reached her ears, poor Piper nearly jumped out of her skin. It probably wouldn't have been too hard, being that part of it was already missing. She glanced down with wide eyes, which simply widened more and came with a delighted squeal as she reached to pluck the bone from Mack's fingers. One would have thought Mack had just offered her a diamond ring. She wiped it a couple more times on her ruined pants before plopping it back into her mouth, then took Mack's arms with a wide grin. "Thank you, good sir!" It was enthusiastic, like everything about Piper.
Piper was already turning to head inside when Mack asked her theory on the school, and Piper shook her head at Mack as if she just didn't understand anything. "No, no. It's Aliens and a Mad Scientist. The aliens came to study us because we know the secret to immortality, obviously," she pointed at the sky at this point, clearly meaning they had only just arrived, "but the Mad Scientist has been here all along performing experiments. That's why we're zombies, and why the aliens came." She sighed and reached up to rub her head - she wondered if zombies could get headaches. "See? It's pretty complex."
