Aireth frowned, she hated the thick dress that she was found in. Her eyebrow raised as she spotted a small tear. She ripped the thick, poofy layer from her dress only to leave a sleek looking dress. She smirked to herself but her attention was brought to a sound of a man and a woman. "Hello?" she said cooly as her eyes narrowed slightly. "Who are you." she said once more and slipped into the shadows for a moment as she scanned the hallway.

Darrin was slightly scared of this woman, but this didn't outwardly show. One did not survive in the world of politics but letting your opponents know your emotion and feelings. "Work together? With what?" he said, more quietly. "All I see is dark castle. What WORK is there?"

It had taken her until now to actually wake up. For some reason, her head was throbbing. Estelle inched her way slowly up to her hands and knees, and from there into a sitting position. Her long brown hair draped over her face messily. She looked around, her eyes darting to all sides of the room. 'I don't remember this place...' Estelle thought, still surveying her surroundings. It took her a few moments to realize that there were other people in the room. She didn't want to interrupt them, (if there was anything to interrupt, that was), so she sat there, her arms wrapped around her legs, and her head on her knees, so only her nose to her forhead could be seen, and even that was obstructed. Her brown hair still flowed over her face, blocking her vision for the most part.

Bri was growing more and more confused. The strange bits and pieces of conversation she caught only increased her bewilderment. Voices cried out, only to vanish when she drew near. Exhaling heavily, Bri felt around the ground, hoping she wouldn't touch anything... unpleasant.
She picked up a flat stone, slightly sharper at one edge. As Bri walked she dragged the edge across the stone, leaving a thin trail to mark her passage. Part of her knew this was dangerous; anyone who noticed the scratches could follow her. But wandering around in the dark was hardly more safe. Heart pounding, Bri wandered the halls, now silent, listening.

Adara's patience seemed to be shorter than usual. She looked cautiously around. "Don't be so loud. You know how easily I could kill you right now? I don't think you would like that.. Oh no..."
Now, she couldn't REALLY kill him.. Threats always made people of higher status more afraid and less of an opponent. She eyed the walls, things making less and less sense to her.

Darrin decided to stop bickering. His own life was the most important thing to him right now. Losing it was not an option. "Very well," he whispered, "I shall cooperate. What is it you want me to do, woman?" Of course, being highborn still does not make one of the nicest people around. Especially when everyone does everything for you.

She thought for a moment, then replied, "Just stay with me. Don't stray off, and if there is any danger, just do the best you can.. And, most of all, be quiet. Hopefully this thing won't have to last any longer than possbile.." She said, slowly letting him go, then pulled her veil around her mouth until only her eyes were showing. She then pulled over her hood, and began slowly creeping to the edge, waiting for Darrin to come.

Darrin followed her indignantly, trying to creep along in imitation of he as best he could. He was going to need a lot of practice, after normally walking with his head held high. Behind them, the ground emitted a very quiet growling sound, like a beast that had its food stolen from it.

Adara stopped, feeling a vibration, and a low growling sound. Her feet felt the slight tingle through her shoes quite easily.
"Did you..?" Seeing he already knew, she asked again, "Have you a clue of what it could be?" Her mind buzzed about what it could be. A dragon? Mosthaps, no. A kind of... Beast? A gryphon! Exactly what she thought it might be. She turned to him again, "Perhaps a gryphon? Do you think such could exist in this palace?"

Darrin paused and looked at her strangely. "A gryphon? Do not give yourself to flights of fancy. A beast such as that would tear this place apart, but what I can see of these rooms has been barely touched." he replied, and considered what it actually COULD be. "It sounded to me as a creature mixed within the creaking of the floor. Most likely the old wood settling."
