"-I- am not a sucker for -ANYONE-."
Here he was back on his feet, pointing at the screen in a rather accusing manner.
"Unlike certain people who hide in the shadows, I, CHRIS MCLEAN, amd perfectly capable of having friends. And I stick up for them, so if you're thinking of pulling anything with my friends think again."

He hissed. He actually hissed. Fur on end and everything. It was likely they hadn't seen him that upset since certain events years in the past.

"I'm helping her. It's not like I can use her for more drama in the show, because uh dudes? A certain former camper already messed that whole thing up. You know that already, duhhhh."

Well...it seems they'd struck a nerve at least. The reason for our...discretion..is none of your concern, McLean. ...A friend? Really? You have an odd way of treating friends. As an intern, we expect you treat her as such, lest the other interns get ideas that they should be treated better.

The other shadow was growing more and more irritated with the rendition of "I'M ON A BOAT" performed by a meatgrinder trying to chew up the world's largest almond. He reached under the table and pressed the hidden button, the soft swish of his tail lost due to the the large THMP! of a certain boat-boy flopping over, a neon-pastel dart sticking out of him.

"Indeed," the voice agreed, "The responsibility of managing Wawanakwa still rests on your shoulders, Mister McClean. It would... be quite a shame if your trailer was usurped by interns demanding better sleeping amenities, would it not?" Oho ho ho, chuckles the evil mastermind.

At least he seemed happy to be darted! He was even giggling happily before finally succumbing to the drugs.

...Great, he'd probably have a new addiction. Just what Wawanakwa needed.

ARGH! Here he was, standing up for himself, and they didn't even CARE. HE WAS THE HOST! They were supposed to PAY ATTENTION when he was talking! Not just..IGNORE HIM. ARGHHHHHHH.

He wanted to throw things. Have a regular old temper tantrum.

Instead he settled for another hate filled HISS at the screen before flopping back into his chair.

"No special treatment for the new intern, and continue to manage Wawanakwa. Got it, sheesh dudes..."

"Good, because we won't be repeating it..." the producer retorted smugly.

"I am pleased that we have reached an understanding," the second producer added, "In fact, we are so pleased that we shall let you have your very own gift, and a chance to prove to us yet again that your awesomeness shines through and makes you important. Only you can handle this gift. Are you ready?" Free stuff? From the producers?! holycrap it's like finding a giant loophole in their contract!

Chris raised a brow and actually -sat up- to pay attention.

A...gift? A gift from the producers. A gift as in something free, from them to him? ...Really? He took a moment to ponder if there was anything in his (rather huge) contract that should warn him away from this.

..Then again that was a lot of legal mumbo jumbo to remember. Screw that, bring on the gifts! Besides, maybe they were just making up for missed birthdays or something. He was owed a few.

"Psh, a gift only -I- can handle? Totally ready for it dudes. Bring it on!"

The second producer's eyes widened a bit, until something off screen caught his attention. A malicious grin spread slowly across his shadowed face. "Ah..yes. You've finally begun to listen, McLean. Your..gift...is waiting back at your trailer... Enjoy," his tone was almost mocking edged with a hint of amusement.

The second producer didn't say anything. In fact, he reached to one side and flipped an unseen switch. "There! That ought to do it. Think -- hey, what's that light for? We're still on? Well where's the switch for the off bottom?!" There's a scuffle of papers, followed by the click-clicks of bottons before finally the microphone on the producer's side was turned off. Just in time, too!

If Chris had been paying attention maybe he would have realized accepting anything from the Producers was bad news. The good things they gave him were VASTLY outweighed by the -bad- things they gave him. This could very well be another trap set up just for their own sadistic joy.

If Chris had been paying more attention he might have focused on the fumbling of mic and papers, and caught that something was not right

And if Chris wasn't already back at the clearing his trailer rested in...well maybe he would have still had a chance to run.

If Chris had been paying attention, he might've heard a babble of angered voices before he reached the mob. A large gathering of dirty looking interns surrounded the trailer, shouting something about sleeping arrangements. A few even held signs demanding rights for themselves.

The crowd outside, of course, didn't include the ones who had already infiltrated the host's trailer. Some were busy shoving as much food into their cheeks like fired-up chipmunks while others were picking and choosing the best spots under the host's massive bed to bunker down under. And... wait, was one already stuffing pairs of socks down his shirt? Huh.

Oh ******** HELL.

Chris stopped and stared at the trailer in horror. They..they were EVERYWHERE man, EVERYWHERE. It wasn't worth trying to save the trailer now, they were too dug in. Maybe later they'd leave, but he had to doubt it. DAMNITDAMNITDAMNIT.

...Oh s**t, mini temper tantrum was a BAD IDEA when surrounded by interns. If any cameras were rolling, the producers were in for some sweet footage of Chris being taken down by angry interns. At least it'd be worth some chuckles later?
