Karmi was such a darling, if it was humanly possible, Ji-Yeon would've shrunk her down to pocket-size and kept her with her at all times as a good-luck charm. "Perhaps..." Ji-Yeon meekly responded, blushing at the possibilities. Speaking of karma, the Korean female felt she was being a bit selfish. So far, everything had only been going the way Ji-Yeon wanted. Not ice-skating, but her house. Grilled cheese, and tea. She felt terribly guilty, and wanted to make it up to her. An epiphany hit her, and brown eyes twinkled with a hint of mischief.
"Say," Ji-Yeon began, leaning closer towards Karmi, almost whispering, "You have Skip's number, don't you?" She paused a moment to let a minor giggling fit pass. "What do you say we invite him here?" her voice suddenly exclaimed. The girl was practically jumping out of her seat with every word. "I've always wanted to be a match-maker!" she continued, Yuna barking, feeling her owners' mood. Looking Karmi directly in the eyes, Ji-Yeon enunciated with hand motions, "What I am proposing, is that we invite him here!" she ended with her hands on her hips. "Pleaseeee?" she pleaded, grinning from ear to ear.

A deeper shade of red had never crossed Karmi's cheeks before. Blinking, she looked back at Ji-Yeon. If her eyes lit any further they might actually produce light. Karmi's body trembled slightly as she set her shaking tea cup down on the table. "Invite Skip here?" she questioned, her heart picking up like a drum. Truth was she hadn't seen him in a while, maybe it was the best time. But to someone else's house? How strange would that be... she thought, but the raging hormones were already working their daydreaming magic.
Shaking her head to get back on track, she sighed heavily. "I'd love to invite him, but I'm not sure if he'd want to come over." A sudden shyness took hold of her, but Ji-Yeon seemed sure as well as Yuna, who barked in excited agreement. Smiling warmly, she nodded back to her. "Alright. He would probably love to meet a new friend too." Taking out her wallet from her bag carefully she glanced at a small paper tucked into it. I hope this works out. She thought, feeling rather pensive. Reaching for the paper she took it delicately and stared at the numbers.

Karmi was adorable; Ji-Yeon envied it. She longed for a real crush too, not just some fantasizing. Worry swept over the Korean as Karmi trembled, but quickly faded seeing as it was only from nervousness and teenage hormones. "Great!" she grinned, slightly bouncing on the balls of her feet. She gently took the paper out of her friend's hands, and smiled, "Do you mind if I call?"
Without waiting for a reply, carrying with her treasured numbers, she dashed over to the house phone, and dialed Skip's digits. "Here I go, I'll put it on speaker." Ji-Yeon softly murmured, pressing the button. After three slow rings, a voice of a woman picked up. "Evelyn Parker speaking, how may I help you?" the female introduced, friendliness oozed out of her voice. "Um, may I speak to your son?" she guessed. "Skip, that is?" A laugh or two could be heard over the line. "JACKSON PARKER, you've got a call!" Footsteps could be heard over the line, along with more laughter. Finally, a male's voice returned. "Sorry about that! May I ask, who is this?" How should she start? "Hey there, Skip. You probably don't know me, but I'm Ji-Yeon Nae, I go to your school." she laughed. What an obnoxious introduction. "Well, my friend wants to ask you something," she paused. "Wait one second!" Ji-Yeon giggled, then winking at Karmi, motioning with two fingers for her to come over.

Blushing horribly she took a few steps towards the phone. Clearing her throat a little she looked at Ji-Yeon. She was nervous. It had been a long time since she'd spoken to Skip. Under such circumstances too... it was an odd day. Glancing back at the phone she mustered up some courage. "Hey Skip, it's Karmi." she said, unsure of what would be the reaction. "How are things?"

Jackson "Skip" Parker was certainly not expecting a phone call from anyone that day, and especially not from a girl he didn't know.
"JACKSON PARKER," his mother bellowed for him at the bottom of the stairs. He cringed when she said his full name - why couldn't she just call him Skip like everyone else did? "You have a phone call." This was enough to get the boy's attention. Intrigued, he pushed his chair away from his desk and dashed down the stairs, grabbing the phone from his mother's hands with an appreciative nod.
"Sorry about that," Skip said apologetically once he put the phone to his ear, "may I ask, who is this?" On the other end of the line, a particularly chipper girl spoke up. She informed him that her name was Ji-Yeon Nae and that, like him, she went to Meadowview. Well, if she did, he had certainly never heard of her (but he wasn't going to say that, of course), so instead, he let her keep talking. After an obnoxious introduction, Ji-Yeon went on to say that a friend wanted to ask him something. Great. How much weirder could this conversation get?
But it was time for Skip to be surprised yet again by who spoke up next:
"Hey Skip, it's Karmi. How are things?"
The senior's immediately perked his head up when he heard the girl's voice. Karmi? He hadn't seen her in ages! In the back of his mind, a pang of regret filled his head. She was probably confused and a bit sad as to why he hadn't visited her as much, to which he would only have to apologize profusely for later. His life had gotten rather hectic, what between chores and all. "Karmi," he said with a smile, "it's good to hear you again. I'm sorry we haven't hung out in a while. I've just been really busy. How are you doing, and what's up? It's great that you called, by the way. I certainly wasn't expecting it."

At the sound of Skip's voice Karmi felt her heart skip a beat and continue to thud. "I'm doing well." She started, "I understand that you're busy, no worries there." She made a sincere laugh at the comment. "I've been doing well. Had some turbulene there for a while..." She was rambling when her eyes met the bright glance of Ji-Yeon's. "I'm hanging out with a new friend." She said with a smile and a nod towards her.
It had been so long, far too long. She dared deeper. "I'm sure she'd love to have you over, if you're not busy of course. We can all have some fun I'm sure." Staring down at the phone she felt her cheeks warm slightly.
