I have an idea for your Hala! If you want him to have a one-off fight another rogue (and probably win) I can offer my girl Dabiku.
Dabiku's not the best fighter - she's much better at sparing where no one gets hurt - but she never backs down from a fight, even with a much stronger lion. She comes from a militaristic warrior society that expelled her, so she feels like she has something to prove. If he were to challenge her and try to start something, her hackles would rise and she would bite on the opportunity.
Normally, she's rather nice (and snarky) to strangers, but he sounds like the bitter kind of lion that could get under her skin. She would probably lose to him. He sounds like a badass fighter, haha. It could be fun if you were looking to having him fight another rogue on his quest for revenge. There's more info about her in my plot journal (linked to her image in my sig) in case you're curious.
