((Ruriska, you're welcome to join))

Meri gave the woman in her threadbare tunic a nod, his flame cloak shimmering in the light of the evening sun. He passed the woman and entered the tavern.

The innkeeper gave him a smile and pushed a small bottle of light blue liquid and a small wooden mug towards the bard. Meri smiled and flipped a gold coin at the keeper before scooping up his drink and going to a table near the door.

"Hey bard! Play us a song!" came a call from somewhere in the crowd. Meri groaned in reply as people picked up the cheer of 'sing bard, sing'. With a grin, he picked up his guitar and stood on the table.

"Ah there any requests?" he asked the crowd.

Pyro glanced at the bard.
"Rich git." She muttered under her breath and entered. She ignored the bard and crowd and went to the innkeeper. "I don't supposed a body could get a bite to eat with a copper piece?" She asked. He frowned at being drawn away from the impending performance and then shook his head.
"Nay. An' don't start beggin'." He forewarned her with a severe glance before returning his attention to the bard.
Pyro sighed and pulled up a barstool anyway. She slumped down on the bar, her hand holding up her head. She then decided she had a request for the bard.
"If it won't cost me anything, how about a ballad about the rogue dragons?" She called out.

Xavier stood in front of the place hearing the faint noise of a crowd. He nodded, to him that either meant someone was a bard and was stirring a crowd or something really interesting happened. He stepped inside the place closing the door behind him as he scanned the room with his dark eyes beneath his dark blue helm. He was suited in pure dark blue gothic armor that clanked faintly as he walked.

He walked past the crowd hearing people yelling request to the bard occupying the place here. He walked up to the counter top and layed his hands upon the bar top. One was clothes in a chain link glove and the other was gloved in a massive gauntlet with encrusted gems representing each element known to magic. He looked around the bar once more but was silent and patient to see if there was a bartender.

Meri bent down and smiled at the lady. "Sure, n' go tell Den that Meri told ye to eat. He'll feed ye wether ye have nothin' or ev'rythin' as long as ye tell him I sent ye."

He stood up again and started strumming his guitar. He started humming and then fell into the ballad of the Year of the Rogue Dragons.

((Okay, I'm going to put the abridged story here. It'll take me about a page of posts to sing it.))

The balad went that sometime in the the past, a group of elven wizards got together to save their homeland from rampaging dragons of all colours. The wizards found a way to use high magic, a magic that is extremely powerful and is extremely hard to manipulate, to remove the rage from the dragons, but something went wrong with the spell and it changed the dragons. The metallics became good and the chormatics became evil and they still raged, but only after a few thougsand years. It was then that the dragons reverted back to their primitive nature, killing everything non-draconic.
Then, in the last rage, a group of heroes learned of a way to subdue the dragons with a spell. They went to the oldest and wisest of the metalic dragons, but the dragons were in a magically induced sleep that held them away from the rage. The heroes went home to find a small group of younger metalic dragons waiting for them and for the cure. Most of them were able to shapechange, adding a buffer against the rage, but the few that couldn't had to be restrained by magic. One of them had even gone into frenzy and attacked the town. His brothers and sisters lamented his loss, but were adamant about getting the spell.
The heroes gave the dragons the spell and the dragons lived out the rest of the year without suffering the frenzy. They brought the magic to their elders and convinced them that they could help save the world from their rampaging chromatic cousins.
A massive dragon flight left the unknown sanctuary of the metalic dragons and they went out, slaying their chromatic cousins and saving the world from rampaging monsters.

((that'll do))

"Sweet." Pyro murmured to herself and approached the innkeeper again. "You heard what the man said!" Soon a plate of food was produced and Pyro began the short process of inhaling it, completely oblivious that there was anyone else at the bar, even though his armor was hard to miss. She picked up on most of the bard's ballad.

His ears where focused upon the ballad as his eyes looked upon the innkeeper smiling warmly with a politeness about him. He knew some of the story of the Rogue Dragons, but he learned a bit more from the Ballad, tho he was skeptical, because ballads are sung from a prevouis story told to the bard or one he made up, and a mere amount of exageration or whatnot could of been folded into the story either by him or the person that told him the story. All he knew is there was some pissed off dragons and there was deaths and damages around the world to prove it. He asked the innkeeper if he could have a pint as he placed a couple of peices of gold upon the countertop, a little extra tip for the bartender for being nice and polite.

Meri slowly turned, scanning the entire crowd as he sang. Then, making up his mind wether he should or not, he wove a little magic into his song, making the crowd more attentive to his song. Basically, anyone not aware of what he was doing would be played like a fiddle, Meri using their emotions however he wanted.

Pyro did begin to pay more attention, but it came to her that she still had food left on her plate.
Why am I not eating that... The damn bard! Pyro snapped out of it with a frown. She had half the mind to spray him with acid right now. But she decided his motives were innocent enough and returned to her plate.

He took a sip of his drink as his eyes shifted toward the bard, but something else caught his mind. The center crystal of his gaunlet started to glow and twinkle a bit as he lifted his head and looked the bard agian. He smiled as he started to laugh outload a bit as he set his cup upon the counter top standing to his feet and clapping his hands. It was a mixture of slapping skin and metal and the moving of his armor. His gauntlet crystals where glowing gently as the bard used his magic upon the crowd.

"Nice... the bard can't get enough attention he has to sway the crowd with a magical enchantment"

He didn't really care but it set something off when his gauntlet started to glow. The black clouds that sways on his armor started turning the opposite direction like the wind changed upon the picture of his amor.

Meri caught movement out of the corner of his eye and turned towards the armoured man. His armor was changing and his gauntlets were glowing softly.

Great, a spellwarrior.

Meri almost sighed as he cancelled his spell in the song. It would mean he would get less money, but it would mean that the spellwarrior would leave him alone. He hoped.

He stopped clapping a bit feeling some discontent from the bard. He didn't condone the use of magic to cheat out the masses, but it wasn't his place to tell him that. He just smiled and waved at him gently before sitting back down at the bartop and grabbing his pint and continueing to enjoy something he hasn't had for a while, since all he ever does is wander this land. It was his life, and he didn't get to come into places like this often.

Pyro felt the spell end. She smiled to herself.
Good. She then saw the dark-armored man with a mug of what seemed to liquor. She licked her lips. She had just scraped her plate clean. She wasn't sure what she could get on the bard's tab, and in her indecision just ended up staring longingly at the liquor. She had some in her saddlebags, but that was for other purposes.

Meri finished his song to the applause of the crowd. He gave them a smile and went to sit on a stool next to the person adding things to his tab.

"Miss, if ye be feeding yerself stuppid on my acocount, ye be welcome t' it. I get enough coin from admirers t' pay for this whole crowd t' eat." He accepted a glass of the light blue liquid from the bartender and took a ip of it.

"An' what be the name of the lass I be feedin'?" he asked.

Pyro first ordered an ale and took a sip before answering.
"My name's Pyro. Sorceress and carrier of red dragon blood." She added with pride. She was an excellent liar, and this was her most common bluff. She looked to the bard. "And you?"

Meri gave the sorceress a smile. "Me names Meri. I be a bard and carrier of the fine blood of a song dragon." He picked up on something and frowned. "If ye be a sorceress, then why are ye needin' to rely on the charity o' others? Could ye not create yerself food?"
