"Talk to Evie," Sue referenced in regards to the arrows. "She's doing all the sharpening of stakes over with our group. She might have something to work." He could hope so, anyway. Much as he disliked that girl, he was pleased that she had been making herself so useful, even enough that he spent his own free time mimicking her. The wooden spikes she made were going to do wonders for the battle, they would....
Not the subject of conversation just now, though.
"We're going to draw them tomorrow through an artificial choke point," Sue told her. He'd been reading every article he could find on warfare in the encyclopedia in order to get some idea of what he was talking about - that's why he could pepper in those words like artificial and sound so convincing. To his ear, anyway. "We've got it all laid out, we're just getting to the final setups. With those arrows, you know...." He crossed his arms, tapped his thumb against the crook of his elbow, thought. "We've got cloth. We've got flammable crap. We've got a way to light it. We could really use you."
The highest compliment Sue could pay. Or at least would ever care to.

It was almost like kicking a puppy. Vera sat up and clenched her jaw. "You didn't know," she offered as a sort of reassurance. She just didn't have it in her to continue being mean on an extended basis, not anymore. It was all rather futile, given what was going on around them.
Then again...the not-a-puppy boy actually did have a plan. A thought out plan, probably, given his use of the term 'artificial choke point'. It wasn't something the average teenager would toss around without knowing what it was, especially in this context.
"Sign me up then," she said, staring up at Sue, and then over at Yahya.

Was she... reassuring him? She was! Yahya's cheeks flushed with pleasure, and he couldn't help but smile more sincerely. See, she wasn't such a bad person after all. It had just been a misunderstanding in the beginning. Besides, it's not like she could have hurt them with how her arrows were. Yahya was beginning to like the other girl increasingly more, which was a little ridiculous, but Yahya responded well to the little kindness. It was how he was such good friends with Sue. Sue may have eaten all of his dog biscuit batter, but he hadn't done it to be mean, and Yahya was able to see that deep down, he was a nice guy. That was enough for the blue-haired teen.
"Really?" he blinked, surprised that she was so quick to sign herself over to their plan. "Great!" it was an ecstatic exclamation. He really was glad she was going to stick with them. it'd be easier to keep her safe. Alone... anything could happen. Sue stressed not wandering around alone, because it made you an easy zombie target. Vera did not deserve to be a zombie target. "Everyone will be so glad to have a new member."

Sue's reaction to her determination seemed more luke-warm, perhaps, but was no less pleased than Yahya was. "Good. Come on, then. We've got some food and water, and I bet there's some shoes somewhere in the mess we've got you can use," Sue evaluated quickly. "Let's not stick around here until something shows up, though." And even if nothing were to show up... they had a lot of work to do, a lot of things to talk about, and not much time to get it all done in. Bringing the new member up to speed would take some work - not to mention figuring out some way to make those arrows more useful in combat - so they'd better get on it fast....
((Good place to call it FIN, I think, since the main RP is starting?))
