 ~Kewnew ~Grim ~Icarus"Hello~." A childish voice chimed from atop a nearby bookcase, breaking the silence that fell over the thought to be soon new parents. The egg before them stopped moving..."Oh! You look confused. Sorry about that." The Pokemon revealed itself as a Ralts as he teleported down to the floor at the feet of Kewnew and Grim, proceeding his demonstration by picking up the nearby egg with a weak psychic attack and slamming it against the nearest wall, shattering it to bits. Grim just stood in shock at this sight, already figuring out what just happened, Kewnew however didn't care for this act so much."Nyah!And the...What?! YOU!" She was unable to bring words to her mouth to express the anger she was feeling towards the tiny Ralts; thinking that he in-fact just killed the egg."Wow, you're stupid." He responded, lifting up his head so that his soulless eyes were visible to the Treecko."I didn't see the need to waste time breaking through that wretched encasement, so I simply teleported out." He continued to explain his process."I'm Icarus by the way." His rant finished with an introduction."Hey! I'm not 'stupid'! Kewnew wailed out in response, apparently that mockery of her being the only thing said that was heard by her..."C'mon, lets all get out of here; I hear there's a party back at the Guild." Grim cut in before someone got hurt, leading the other two out the door.

 KageKage walked into the library with a sigh.
Usually he didn't let that Lopunny's attitude get to him, but he was seriously pissed.
He cleared his throat and closed his eyes, allowing his emotions to simmer down a bit.
The library was quiet, which helped out a lot.
He opened his eyes and took a random book from one of the shelves.
The Gallade sat down and opened the book in front of him, reading only to kill some time.
The book he was reading was about the early growth of the Sun Guild and its current Guild Master.
Of course, Kage found a chapter about himself in the book, which made him grin a little.

  Hoot & Not Egg
The newborn Growlithe noticed the newborn Ralts, but didn't get a good vibe around him. He shook his head, and instead turned to the giant gold and silver Gallade. Hoot was gazing over at the other group, and the Ralts, enthralled. He slipped away and over to the giant Pokemon. He sniffed the foot of the creature, as he was sitting with a book. He sat, staring intently at him. Smile shining.

KageKage stopped for a moment.
He felt that the air around his feet was circulating different than normal.
The Gallade lowered the book he was reading and looked down.
He saw that the strange air current was caused by the sniffing of a Growlithe puppy.
The silver and gold Gallade cocked an eyebrow as the Growlithe stared and smiled at him.
"Uhhh... Need something, kid?" Kage asked.

Hoot & Not Egg
As Hoot watched the group leave, she turned to her Growlithe. She whipped her head about, where had he gone? She noticed him over by a Gallade, one of the top Team. Kage was his name, she believed. She sat back, waiting to see what the pup wanted. The pup, however, couldn't seem to make himself talk just yet. As the question was asked, instead of answering, his tail wagged a little. He crouched just a bit...then...jumped. Landing in Kage's lap. Hoot began to pad over. Not sure what to say to her superior.

((You just made me "D'awwww" out loud. >_>)) KageKage blinked as the little Growlithe jumped right into his lap.
At first, the Gallade didn't know what to do.
He really wasn't used to working with kids.
Oh, what was he thinking?!
He was smarter than that, wasn't he?
Well, the incredibly modest Gallade obviously didn't think so.
"Uhhh..." Kage just mumbled.
He thought for a moment, and then began to scratch the Growlithe behind the ears, not really thinking about it.

Hoot & Not Egg
Hoot brought her paws up to her mouth and giggled lightly. She reached where they were sitting, "Sorry, he just hatched. He seems to like you." Her voice was quiet and shy, where was Chopin...? The Growlithe felt a sensation rush through his body as the scratch behind his ear turned into heaven. His mouth was forced into a smile, his eyes closed. His tail wagging a bit more furiously now. His mind was oddly blank at that moment, he couldn't seem to have any thought processes. Odd weakness.

KageKge blinked and looked down at Hoot.
"Oh, so I take it this Growlithe is yours, then," He said.
He then looked at the Growlithe he was scratching, and he couldn't help but smile at how happy the puppy looked.
"I don't mind, really. Usually kids don't seem to like me. I must look scary or something," The Gallade explained.

Hoot nodded as he spoke, listening intently. "Yes, he is mine...Kind of...The egg was a...I'm not a mom..." She rubbed the back of her head, getting nervous now. "Scary? What? No way! I think the kids might keep away for the same reason I hesitated. You hold...a bit more power then the rest of us. Not to mention, look how small I am, and look how tall you are." She wasn't being mean, she just didn't want him to think he looked scary. She thought he looked pretty awesome, but it was apparent to Pokemon below him that he was a superior. It was harder for kids to show respect, they had a hard time telling apart intimidating and just slightly larger than them...

KageKage snickered and continued scratching the baby Growlithe.
"Power? Heh, yeah right," The overly modest Gallade said.
"Listen to this," He said, looking up part of the book he had read.
"As a Ralts, Kage was often considered useless to the Guild. He didn't win any fights until he had evolved into a Kirlia, and even then other Pokemon thought him to be a wimp simply because he was okay with his girlish physique," He read aloud.
"Yeah, does that sound like the life of a powerhouse?" He then asked the Pichu.

Hoot's head tilted, "We all look like we're going to be wimps when we're young. Look at me! Even that little Growlithe, any critic would say a pup who likes to be scratched behind his ear won't turn out to be anything. Besides, look at you now. Quite large now. Just cause you weren't before doesn't mean you aren't now." Hoot smiled brightly up at him, quite liking him. She wished Chopin was here still, but didn't mind as much. She felt oddly safe with the Gallade. The small, still un-named Growlithe licked Kage's hand, and then rolled over onto his back. His head felt too good, to keep his body standing for much longer.

"Yeah, well... Eh, it's been a while since I've been any help..." He said.
He then felt the urge to change the subject.
"So, what's your name, kid?" He asked Hoot.

"Huh? Oh...uhm...I'm Pikachu La Hoot! Though everyone just calls me Hoot...it's a uhm...it's a name that was...passed down a lot in my family...I'm the fifth or sixth or something...Hoot works just fine though..." She began rubbing the back of her head again, looking down at the floor, drawing small circles with her small foot. She got nervous easy, had acute anxiety. "Your's is Kage, yes?" The Growlithe's foot twitched with happiness, he let out another soft purring sound, like a thanks, but his mind was drifting. Into sleep? Or bliss...? He didn't know.

Hoot shook her small head slowly, "He only just hatched, I haven't had much time to think up a name...I'm not good at that anyhow." She eyed the odd, purple pup. She barely knew him, she didn't want to stick him with a name that would end up not fitting him or something. She felt to young to be a mother anyhow.
