Feeling overconfident, Rez was caught unaware and hit with the reverse DDT. He hit the ladder and started to thrash about in pain on the mat, clutching his skull.

Cross may have gotten the surprise attack in, but he had hit the corner of the ladder and was also struck with a great and sudden pain, though his was in his back. Darnit.

Rez rose off the ground, still clutching his skull. He grabs the ladder and picks it up. Moving his hands, he changed the way he hald it before attempting to drive the top into Cross's gut.

Cross wasn't having any of that s**t, as he tried to grab ahold of Rez by his legs as he came at him with the ladder, looking to pull them right out from under the big man.

Rez fell backwards causing the ladder to fall onto him causing him pain. He groaned and laid motionless as he thought of a strategy.

Cross had a pretty clear strategy of attempting to get to his feet and run the ropes, coming back with an attempted senton on Rez on top of the ladder. He's be incredibly lucky if he didn't waste too much time and ended up back first in the ladder.

As Cross attempted the senton, Rez quickly moved from under the ladder to allow his opponent to crash and burn.

Cross did just that, though you would hardly know he hit the ground with how quickly his back arched up. To the outside observer it looked as if he had just been electrocuted.

Rez stood up as quick as he could and looked at Cross before sliding out of the ring and grabbing another ladder. He slid it into the ring and climbed onto the apron and into the ring. He grabbed the new ladder and attempted to throw it down onto Cross and the first ladder, trying to sandwich him and cause as much bodily harm as possible.

Cross was in too much pain to stop the sandwiching. Unfortunately for his body, whose natural instinct was to try to move away from the point where the pain was coming through, he was getting it from two opposing sides, so that natural reaction had nowhere to go.

Rez picked the top ladder up and tossed it aside. He attempted to grab Cross and bring him to his feet before trying to scoop slam him back to the ladder.

Cross watched as one of his tormentors, the top ladder, was lifted away, but whatever relief that brought was short lived as he was immediately afterward pulled to his feet and scoop slammed back down onto the ladder. There was no way in hell this was good for his back.

Rez moved to grab Cross and drag him partially off the ladder, leaving just one foot on the ladder, hoping the back damage kept him still. If he was lucky enough to have Cross hold still, He'd grab the other ladder and attempt to bring it crashing down on the leg to sandwich it and take away some of the ability for Cross to climb a ladder.

As much as it pained his back, Cross wasn't about to let his leg get crushed, so as Rez came forward with the other ladder, He tried to throw out a straight kick to knock Rez off balance while he rolled off the ladder before the pain caused him to stop to focus entirely on that.

Rez was hit with the kick and staggered backwards, barely managing to resist falling. He dropped the ladder and moved to the original before starting to set it up. AS soon as it was standing he attempted to roll Cross onto his stomach and lock in a camel clutch, wanting to cause his opponent as much pain as he could.
