Ah, yes. I've felt this as well. Luckily, I have my mule to equip new items with, including four royal wizards and three permafrosts. ;D

That is the very reason why I have a second account (shhh don't tell anyone, but this was actually the new one) I could get the awesome new stuff with out sacrificing my beloved B.O.O skin. I will not change this avatar!
But yeah all this cool stuff, but I am pretty happy with this avatar lay-out I just wish I had moved my Imp.

The imp works well with you avi, though, so at least you'll be able to have the adorable thing on forever. It'd be even worse if you wanted to put him on, but couldn't any more.

And that's part of why this account only being a mule is cool.
I'm free to change my avatar on my main.
Aside from a disabled trading pass, but that's possible to work around.
