Relief washed over the younger boy as Ikuto admitted to it not being a bother. Well, that was good to know at least. His nerves were a little more calm now that that was figured out. Achilles let his mind search for other things to say but he was never really one for words. Most of the time the poor cat just wanted to be told what to do and say. He didn't like taking charge. Plus, he was a shy boy. It was a miracle in itself that he was talking so well with this male. Him being shy was what got him kicked out of his home. Replaced by another kitten who was far more playing and loving that Achilles could ever by.
The question of Strays staying here really made him tilt his head. He hadn't really been addressed or classified with Strays before but he seemed to fit the profile. "Um... Ya, some do. I'm one of them, I guess." He sided with that fact and would stick to it now. He was a stray. No more luxurious life for him. As the silence dragged on things were becoming awkward. The white and dusty cat tail dragged itself around him and the boy began to pick at his fur, cleaning out the knocks and such. Sitting in silence was nice, for a little bit, until Ikuto spoke that was. "Huh?" young Achilles looked in the Bombay's direction. "What'd you say?"

"Nothing." Ikuto responded, looking at the bedraggled state of the other tom's tail. Pulling a knee to his chest, the Bombay rested his head on it and watched him for a while. It was getting boring. "I'm getting hungry." The black cat announced suddenly, dropping his knee and stretching his arms out in front of him. He slung his violin over his shoulder and rolled into a crouch, medium blue eyes locked on the younger boy's face, "And cold. Take me to your place... wherever that is." The blue tip of his tail flicked back and forth behind him, and the older teen was very serious about his sudden demand.

As the other male announced his sudden hunger, Achilles was shocked to find that he was also growing rather hungry. He hadn't noticed it until this Bombay spoke up about it. Maybe this was his way of telling Achilles that he was getting tired of talking and just wanted to leave. "O-oh... sure thing," he spoke softly to the other and started to stand himself. When the boy spoke of being taken to Achilles place he widened his eyes. He didn't really have a place of his own. He had the bushes and trees of the park he slept in every night. That was about all. "Um... I... tell me your name first." He demanded something in return. Even if he only had bushes to show the other he figured he might as well get something out of this. That was very unlike Achilles but it was ridiculous that they hadn't exchanged names yet.

Ikuto sized the younger tom up for a moment and flicked his tail. It was unexpected to hear him make a demand of his own, even if it wasn't much of a demand. "Tsukiyomi Ikuto." he responded evenly, giving his last name first as was customary, "Just call me Ikuto." The Bombay tom wondered where this stray slept, perhaps it was just somewhere nearby. It didn't really matter either way, Ikuto was used to sleeping in trees. "Do you have many friends?" The question was random, and he didn't really seem to be especially interested in the answer, but an ear still swiveled in the younger cat's direction.

Achilles was glad that the other male had given him a straight answer rather than telling him off for being so demanding. The young Tonkinese flicked his fluffy tail as the let the name roll off his tongue so he could remember how if it feels, "Ikuto..." A positive nod was given to the man before he turned and started to walk off in the direction of the bushes that were placed right by a green bench. Nearly there, but Achilles had to stop in his tracks on account of the Bombay's question. Friends? What did he consider a friend. Somebody who would be there for him. Somebody who would look out and care for his well being. Achilles didn't have people like that in his life, but he did have a few who he knew. "I know people..." he answered his question with that, not really wanting to tell the older cat that he didn't exactly have friends. Once he answered the question the continued walking until Achilles wiggled his tiny body inside the bush to a nice hollowed out section what would be big enough for the two of them. "This is it... my ... home."

Well, that didn't seem all that interesting; is just knowing people the same as having friends? Following the younger cat into the secluded space in the bushes, Ikuto blinked an looked around. He had been right after all. Suddenly feeling like he missed the warm comforter of a certain girl's bed, the Bombay cat tilted his ears back quietly, but made himself comfortable in the space nonetheless. Blue eyes traveled about once more before flicking back to the Tonkinese's face. "Seems like you're not very popular then." He grinned a little playfully at the other male, "Not that it's any of my business.... Food?" The air was too tense around this kid, but even so, Ikuto was starving, "Do you have sushi or anything...?" Gently, the tom let his instrument slide from his arm and placed it securely next to the makeshift wall.

Achilles shrugged at his comment. So what? What was the big deal about popularity anyways. He wondered if this cat was just making an observation or mocking him. "Are you?" he asked the tom with the smallest hint of attitude lingering in his voice. Where did Achilles get the attitude from? It must be growing on him from this cat. When the food was brought back to his attention the Tonk looked around the bush and shook his head, "Nah... no sushi. Sorry. I do have some left overs, though. I just caught it this afternoon so it's not old or anything." He reached around the bush and pulled out half of a rat. It was plump before but now all that's left was a few bites. "You could have the rest of it." He held out the snack to the blue tinted Bombay, hoping he would accept his offer.

Ikuto accepted the mostly-eaten rodent and stared at it for a moment before shrugging and taking a bite. His tail waved behind him slowly and he met the younger tom's gaze. "I wasn't popular either, probably." He confessed, tilting his head a little, "But I had a few friends. Having people you care about is... it feels nice. Even if they are a liability." The Bombay's eyes clouded and he quietly finished off the rat that had been handed to him and tossed the stripped carcass into the bushes behind him. Both blue-tipped ears fell slightly, the memories wouldn't leave him alone this night; perhaps it was the companionship he hadn't enjoyed in a while. "Among others, there was a girl... Back in the town I came from. She was precious to me." He wasn't sure why he wanted to talk to this stranger about Amu suddenly; this tom who hadn't even offered his name up.

Achilles sat, observing Ikuto with curious eyes. They way he spoke, the way he let his solemn emotions drip from him like water from an icicle. It was just enough to have the young boy flatten his ears back against his head. He was right about the friends thing. Surely, it would be a better feeling to have a few, but the trouble was finding them. Maybe Ikuto would like to be his friend. Before he could ask this question, though, the older tom spoke about a girl. A girl who was obviously very close to him. It wasn't because he admitted it, per say. It was more of how the teenager acted as he recalled her. "Then.... how come you left to come here? Why not just stay there with her?" He wrapped his tail around himself, to keep warm, and started stroking the soft fur.

Ikuto shook his head and smirked to himself. "Even if I wanted to, there were... circumstances that prevented it. I had to leave." Looking over at the boy, the Bombay tom watched his expression curiously, "That's why I came here. I don't think they'll follow me here, and as far as I've been able to tell, there aren't any humans here who do those kinds of things." His tail flickered again a few times as he silently recalled the twisted experiments they had performed on him, and the strange things they had done to his father's violin and the effect it had had on him. It was a nightmare he couldn't be saved from, and so his only option was to run and find a place free of that human menace.

It didn't take much for the young Tonk to realize what a painful memory he had summoned up from the back of Ikuto's mind. Should he press himself on the matter or pull back. It was clear to anybody with eyes that the Bombay would rather not speak of it, but Achilles was curious. Sitting with his knees pulled up against his chest, the boy with brunette hair just sat and examined Ikuto silently. "Ikuto...." he spoke softly, not wanting the older boy to snap or break, because right now the older teen seemed fragile. "If you want... you can stay here with me for the night. I know it's not much, but at least we wont be alone." He figures it's late from how dark and cold it is outside and just lays down upon his side, looking at the other tom, wondering what he'll do.

Ikuto lifted his ears when the other boy spoke his name, and at the proposal, he let his gaze wander around the space. He didn't really care about the size or condition of it, but a thought suddenly crossed his mind, and he stared blankly at Achilles. "...You're not gay, are you?" His tail tip flickered, he was half joking in the question, but slid onto his back, folding his hands behind his head anyway, "Don't take advantage of me while I sleep, okay?" Somehow, the Bombay's voice had taken on a more mischievous tone, even if his expression didn't change as his eyes slid shut.

As the blue tinted Bombay looked around Achilles tiny little bush, the boy couldn't help this lump in his throat. What if he didn't like it? What if the young boy had to spend another long night by himself? Sure, he was scared around strangers but it was even scarier to be all by yourself in the middle of the night. The younger of the two started to curl his fluffy tail around himself, using it like a security blanket as he waited for the answer, but what Ikuto finally asked shocked him. "G-gay? H-homosexual? N-no. No, I'm not," he felt a little offended but mostly hurt at the question. Did he come off as such? However, when the teenager laid back and warned him not to touch he realized that he wasn't going anywhere for tonight. This brought an obvious smile to the boys face as he nodded happily, "Okay, I wont." It seemed like the kid was playing so he might as well play along, too. It was all in good fun, right? Achilles laid down, sort of near the Bombay, since there wasn't much room in this bush. "Thank you," he muttered out softly before resting his body upon the ground and shutting his eyes. It wasn't long before he slipped off to sleep, since he was so tired and it was comforting having somebody beside him.

Ikuto's ears flicked against the ground, and he let out a quiet chuckle at the way the younger cat seemed to freak out about the question. It was too much, he finally had to let it out. Through his laughter, he happened to catch the quiet thank you and snorted. "It's nothing to thank me for. I'm using you for your shelter." Even though his words were impartial, in his own way, he was saying 'you're welcome.' Then the quiet stretched between them, and the bombay realized with another smirk that the boy had already fallen asleep. Turning his head slightly, rich blue eyes glanced at Achilles for a moment, then the teen rolled on his side, back to the boy, and curled up a little. "Night." He murmured quietly, amused as he drifted off, himself.
