Vergil turned back to Mia and blinked. "Attack?" he repeated. "Attack? Are you serious? Is that what you do with demons here? Sadist!"
His eyes glowed red suddenly, and he whipped out his sword and pointed it at Mia once more. "Where are the demons?" he demanded. "I order you to tell me!"

Mia raised a brow, so the violent little freak didn't want to attack them, well at least that was somewhat good news. Though she ignored him and reached into her backpack for Alice instead.
"You are not nice," she replied taking Alice out of the bag.
"Mia, I found the books you- where did he come from?" Lore blinked at the weirdest sight in front of him.
It looked like his no-weirdness streak just ended.

Vergil was amazed at how silently the tall one had come up behind him - surely at that height he would make a bit of noise at least! - but he tried not to let it show. Instead, he whirled around to face him, his small katana pointed up at him.
"You! Giant!" he said in a demanding voice. "Tell me where the demons are! The wench refuses to tell me!"

Lore blinked at Vergil, blinked again and then deciding that instead of answering the little boy's question (it was too weird of a question anyways) he looked at Mia.
"Where did he come from?"
"Your bag," Mia replied, "He's a demanding little thing isn't he?"
She didn't like to be called wench and was eying the Vergil dangerously, even though she told herself her mother would quite disapprove if she knew what was going on in Mia's head. To be fair though, Kara would disapprove of a lot of what went through Mia's head.

Vergil's temper was growing ever shorter, and his eyes began to glow red again.
"Will you stop talking as if I'm not here!" he shrieked, waving his katana around threateningly. "I asked a question! Someone answer me! Where are the demons?!"
He glared at Mia murderously, he especially didn't like being referred to as a 'thing'.

Mia rolled her eyes, "I don't keep track of the demon population, you make it sound like we're segregated, honestly... how old fashion are you?"
Which wasn't saying much since he was really young to begin with.
Lore blinked and wondered if he should take that away from the child, or get the child a therapist. One or the other would do, seeing as the said child's behaviour was just completely odd.

Vergil's hands tightened on the handle of his katana. "You're the one who said that there are no demons in this library!" he seethed through clenched teeth. "Who's the old fashioned one?"
He looked up at Lore. "You. Tell me where the demons are. I must find my brethren! We must join together and rise together!"

Lore decided that perhaps it was a good idea to get this boy to settle down, and maybe try and get him to explain himself. So carefully leaning over he tried to yank the small katana out of the boy's hands.
At the same moment Mia hit Vergil with Alice, she really didn't like Vergil at the moment.

Whatever Vergil might have expected, it wasn't a sudden double attack. His hands tightened on his sword, but when Mia hit him with Alice he squawked and flailed. The katana, small though it was, was as sharp as any sword, and it cut into Lore's thumb before Vergil released it. He fell and hit his head on the floor, and suddenly his vision started swimming.
As hot as his temper had been, he was still a little boy, and he whimpered and put both of his hands over his head and curled up in a ball, trying to hold back tears. That had hurt ...

Whatever Lore had been expecting it hadn't been that, and Lore had dropped the sword when he had been cut. Sucking on the cut, he looked at a bit of a lost at what to do.
Mia though, was not as much of a lost as Lore, she just viewed Vergil as a bad little boy (bad is different from naughty). Instead she picked Vergil up and cradled him, even though a few moments before he had been threatening her, but Mia was probably a bit odd that way.
"That's what you get for threatening people," Mia told him plainly, "You mustn't be bad like that. Ask nicely instead on where other demons are, but oh... they have their own lives."

Vergil had always been alone, and he prided himself on being able to take care of himself, but he had never been hit with anything bigger than himself before. Soft or no, it still hurt.
"I wasn't threatening anyone!" he pouted up at Mia. "I just wanted to know! And no one's nice without wanting anything! Even you!"
He squirmed in her arms, looking around for his sword again, the one thing that he cared for. "Yamato ..."

"You were pointing a sword at people, that is threatening people," Mia replied firmly, "And why would I want anything from you? You're just a little boy so don't be silly."
Lore sort of wished she wasn't so blunt about it, but what else could he say on the matter. The whole thing was just too bizarre for him to even think about.
"You need more nice people in your life."

Vergil sniffed and rubbed his nose with the back of his hand. "Nobody's nice," he muttered, still squirming and trying to get out of her grasp. He stretched his arm out to where his sword lay on the ground. "Now give me Yamato back!"
He gave an extra push and flipped himself out of her arms, and suddenly was surprised to find himself hurtling headfirst towards the ground.

Lore made a grab for the little Second, and he hoped he was quick enough to catch him before he hit the ground. Honestly this little boy was very stubborn and didn't quite think things through. The poor librarian had to make a dive for the little Second.

Vergil squealed as he found himself suddenly dangling upside down, his head only inches from the floor. For a few seconds he just hung there, his eyes wide, his heart pounding as it clicked in, what had just about nearly happened. Then just as suddenly he was back in control of his senses, and he started struggling again.
"Put me down!" he squeaked. "Let me go! Give me Yamato!"
