When Lulu came close to the starfish, he watched her inspect it curiously. He smiled as he shook his head, "Oh no, I did not know that...but now I do!" And then he gently placed the starfish back in the water as he didn't want to keep it out of the water for too long.
He looked back to Lulu, "I am sure you will all be pretty in different areas." And then he noticed the sun in the sky, "We should probably start to head back as the tide is going to come in more and we don't want to be covered in water, now do we?"

She watched as he placed the starfish back in the water, frowning a little. Couldn't she keep it? She could take it back and show Momma and Grandma! She felt upset, and glanced up at Kaja with a sad expression, "Can't I keep it?"
All be pretty? She continued looking upset, "But I'll be prettiest overall, right Kaja?" Lulu was a hard one to please, that was for sure. She did nod in agreement, when he suggested heading back, though.

He chuckled a little and shook his head, "No, you can't keep the starfish since it is still a living creature. They cannot live out of the water. We only take the starfish that have passed on to the next life, Lulu."
With a smile on his features he turned to look at her, "I am sure you'll be very pretty." He helped to stroke the little cub's ego a little. It wouldn't do any harm, afterall.
He carefully made his way down the rocks onto the shore. Once he was sure that Lulu was done climbing the rocks, the pair could head back to the den together.

Oh...she supposed Kaja was right. She wouldn't like being taken from her home just because someone thought she was pretty - which she was, they'd already established that. Maybe she'd come back and visit it another day! She smiled brightly as Kaja stroked her ego, purring a little as she bounded after him, not having as much trouble getting down, back over the rocks as she had on the way there.
"Thank you Kaja! Can we play again tomorrow?"

At her question his face lit up, "Why of course we can, Lulu. We can play any time that you want!" He reached down to touch his nose to her cheek softly. "Make sure to say hi to your Mom and Dad for me, ok?"
He stood there to make sure that the cub made her way back home. Once she was out of sight, he turned to head back to the den to tell Azi all about his day.
