UNDERDOG!!! I remember him. And Mighty Mouse. I still have a VHS tape with Mighty Mouse and Underdog cartoons from back in the day. I miss the good old days.

I have an old Underdog VHS, too. I haven't watched it in a while... I'll have to do that over holiday break. xd I also have his theme song saved on my computer.

Wow, I got so easily distracted off of my reindeer theme. Oh well. Having fun was the purpose of this topic, so it's fine by me....

No. Both male and female reindeer have antlers. Except at the end of the mating season, when the males' fall off like I mentioned. Perhaps I should've mentioned that in my post. I'll edit it in; thanks for making me aware of that.

And Max in that original Grinch movie rocked. xd Cute little guy. I just want to hug him.

No, you guys aren't being offensive. ^^ I just put that so I didn't have those types of people who post messages like, "U R a n00b and a IDIOT cuz evry1 nos dat santa dozent exist!!!11! LOLZ Ur so STUPID!!!" You'd be surprized what types of people are out there.

Hurray for fun learning! ^-^ See, you don't always have to sit in a stuffy classroom for it....

The Grinch rocks. Rocks my socks off. The original does, at least. I haven't seen enough of that new movie to judge, and I probably wouldn't like it nearly as much. Sometimes, you just can't beat the originals.

well to be contradictive santa does exist.. long ago he was alive and then he died. now it's his spirit that "deleivers" gift..but yet people think it's their parents wrong..santa's spirit goes into the and posseses them to give us gifts muahaha thats my theory biggrin

Haha! I love your theory! rofl

In the classic claymation movie, I think he was.... I love that movie. But Rudolph was also a guy in there. And notice how they didn't give the female deer in it antlers? biggrin Hmmmm.

By the way, I love your signature. Schnappi's theme song rocks.

biggrin I'm glad to hear that. This is probably the most successful thread I've ever created on Gaia. I feel proud and honored. Yep. ^-^

I wonder if there are any other Santa/reindeer theories or stories out there? I love hearing how it varies from country to country.

If, hypothetically, Rudolph and pals were kept in a warm environment all winter with plenty of straw, and had no females to fight over, would that mean that they kept their antlers longer and could be boys? (Is desperate not to see core xmas beliefs like boy rudolph crumble). If not, I think something in the flying pills makes them keep antlerey longer, but I'd prefer the above.

A warm environment at the north pole? I think they'd have to be moved somewhere else. Heated stables wouldn't be good for them. We've kept a horse at a heated stable before. You have to keep it shut up like a warehouse, and they go crazy. He'd have to move the reindeer somewhere else, which would then topple the belief of him keeping them at the North Pole, wouldn't it? biggrin

He'd have to move them somewhere else and find a way to eliminate their hormonal changes. They'd probably experience the hormones even without any females present. I've seen horses hyped up on hormones (aka stallions), and they are typically a lot more instinctive and powerful, especially around mating time. Animals like elephants who don't find mates take their frustration out on things around them, like trees, because their hormone levels are so intense that they need to do something about it. The reindeer would become irritable, wild, and definately not fit to fly a sleigh, even if no actual female was present.
