Demyx was grumbling around the hand on his mouth. Damnit! He knew stuff! Let him talk! Heartless man, he knew about heartless! And they were totally connected to them and from this other AWESOME world and all this other important stuff. CMON XIGGY MAN! HE COULD HELP! REALLY!

OHHEYRECON! He was awesome at this!
....Okay not really, but he was WAY better at recon than fighting!

The sitarist pulled the other's paw away from his mouth so he could talk too.
"Yeah man, you guys have like..AWESOME WINGS and stuff! There's nothing like that back on our wo----where we're from!"
PostPosted: Tue Dec 01, 2009 10:15 pm

Oh god, Demyx if you tell them that I will leave you to PLUMMET TO YOUR DOOM! No one here needs to know about the existence of other worlds, seriously. Especially not a world that isn't even supposed to exist at all!

Facepaw.

"We are Gargoyles."

"And what might ye be?"

"We're nobodies."

"Nobodies?"

Oh s**t!

By now they had settled on one of the flatter buildings in the area (what, you thought they were going to just -hover- there all night?). Oh so many questions, but at least it seemed for the moment they were not a source of suspicion. They weren't going to go out to dinner and a movie together anytime soon, but at least they weren't enemies.

"Gargoyles huh? Are there more of you?"

"Nobodies! Though I still say we're somebody but everyone keeps calling us Nobodies and....well it's just all very confusing."
Demyx was frowning slightly at this. Damnit Xig, let him talk!

"Y-yeah! Are there more of you? Like..a lot more? Cause I wouldn't want to face down an army of you or anything..just saying."
On the ground once more (okay not really, but at least they weren't flying anymore), Demyx had stretched and paced a few steps.
"Is...this whole world full of Gargoyles? Or are there only a few of you and a lot of something else? Or...what?"
PostPosted: Tue Dec 01, 2009 10:44 pm

Xigbar shot Demyx a look, though he chose not to comment further on the subject of nobodies. They were nobodies, as far as the world, universe, whatever was concerned they shouldn't even exist in the first place. And yet they did, and he really didn't want to try explaining that.

"I think we'll keep that information to ourselves."

"Fair enough."

Right, figures, he knew it wouldn't be that easy. If they wanted to know they'd have to scout around themselves, probably at a later time. Sigh, he would have liked to take more information back to Xemnas (since they, you know, HAD NO HEARTS!), but somehow he had the feeling the gargoyles weren't going to give them the chance so long as they were there.

"Hey, what do you mean by world?"

Oh crap, one of them had caught Demyx's slip! KID YOU HAVE A BIG MOUTH!

Slip? That wasn't a slip! It was normal conversation for the sitarist! Sheesh Xiggy, you shoulda known the kid had a big mouth!

"Your like...world? Ya know?"
Here he gestured around.
"I mean...youuuu guys haven't seen things like us, and weeee haven't seen anything like you...the logical answer is we come from a different world, right? Well we do! And lemme tell ya, it's nooot much fun on our world."
Hey the castle was alright, but that whole dark city crawling with heartless thing he could totally pass on. Less doom and gloom, more water. If only Superior had a suggestion box.

Oh god... DEMYX SHUT UP!

Xigbar shot a look at Demyx, oh the look he gave him. A look that Demyx probably wouldn't get it, but it wasn't like he could just yell at him now, he'd already said it.

Most people go happily about their lives never realizing that there are ever other worlds out there. Some may wonder at times, thinking that there must be something more, but they never may the connection. Only the nobodies (and a select few others) knew of this fact, or had the ability to cross into the other worlds. And of those few, only the nobodies could cross so easily. And really, it was probably for the better that no one else knew.

"You are from a different world? How is that possible?"

"And if it's true, how did you get here?"

Oh, that little one was clever, always asking the right (THE WRONG) questions.

"It's...complicated."

Oh great. He wasn't sure he could explain it even if he wanted to.

Nope, he sure wasn't getting that look at all. Poor oblivious sitarist, and poor sniper stuck with him.

"We can teleport!"
The answer was blurted happily, the little Audio nothing but smiles. The answer was obvious, wasn't it? Not complicated at all!

...Okay yeah it was. Because that whole teleporting thing was somewhat creepy. And not everyone could do it. ..Though that was good, he wouldn't -want- everyone just teleporting around crazily. But still! It wasn't THAT hard to understand...
PostPosted: Wed Dec 02, 2009 8:20 am

DEMYX! He was going to wring his--

"Can all..nobodies do this?"

"That's impossible, even if you can teleport, you couldn't teleport between worlds."

Oddly enough it seemed the teleporting didn't bother them so much (were they used to this sort of thing?), the 'other world's thing? Yeah, that was a different matter entirely. Or maybe they were just too stuck on the other worlds to move on to the wtf of the teleporting.

If they were lucky the gargoyles would think Demyx was making the whole thing up, just a product of the overactive imagination. But from the looks they were getting...

'As if."

No, not -all- nobodies could teleport, it wasn't that simple.

Fine Demyx, go right ahead, tell them everything. Get us both turned into dusks, or you know...KILLED...AGAIN!

Damn you Xemnas, damn you to hell.

"Psh, not all nobodies man, only the cool ones. Like us!"
Demyx looked -proud- for a moment. Hey. He was special! That was cool, right? He always thought it was cool. Not -everyone- could be as neat as those in the Organization. So there!

"Buuuut I think that's enough out of us, it's not like you guys are sharing any juicy tidbits."
Hands on his hips, Demyx simpled eyed the others. He was doing good! Right Xiggy?

....Right?

Urk...that look wasn't good. What the hell was he doing wrong?!
PostPosted: Wed Dec 02, 2009 9:07 am

We wouldn't be telling them anything either if you didn't have SUCH A BIG MOUTH! Ugg...what did he ever do to deserve this...

Well okay, it wasn't as if he didn't like Demyx, god knows he recruited him for a reason. And it WAS him who had always stood up for the lazy bum. He'd looked out for him as much as he could and the other members knew this. Demyx could have been an easy target for them, but if it meant incurring the wrath of the sniper...well that a** kicking made it a far less attractive idea.

But sometimes, oh sometimes, even Xigbar wanted to DROP HIM OFF A BUILDING!

Finally, he had shut up, he hadn't told them everything. And the sniper's expression softened, maybe even a small smile flashed at Demyx, his composure regained.

"Kid's got a point."

"I suppose we all have our secrets."

"Guess so."

So the gargoyles weren't too keen to speak of themselves either. Hmmm, interesting. Why be so secretive in a world where you control the skies? Unless they didn't control it. Maybe they were so secretive because they were in hiding, the hunted in this world. Maybe these six was all that there were of them.

Well there had to be a reason he got away with being a lazy bum all the time. Having the sniper as your guardian was a good reason to not be picked on, and Demyx took advantage of it whenever possible. Which was also know as 'pretty much always'.

And of COURSE he had a point! He could help, really! He was good at this stuff.

..Okay no he wasn't. Whatever.

"We have TONS of secrets, and you're not getting to know ANY of them."
Like where he stashed his cookies for example. Or the secret sketchbook he had somewhere filled with crayon doodles on how annoying Superior was. Those were his secret that no one was getting to know!

Though he'd still like to know just what the hell was up with this world.
PostPosted: Wed Dec 02, 2009 10:06 am

Facepaw!

"Demyx, remind me how old you are again."

Because seriously, what are you like FIVE?! Not that Xigbar didn't have his own secrets, secrets that he was telling no one, ever. There were things he knew, dark secrets that would always remain just that. Some things just didn't need to be know, there were things he wished -he- didn't know.

"I doubt we have any more secrets than you."

"Point taken."

Seriously. Hiding in the darkness aren't you. A fight like one, you would have called for reinforcements if you had them. I bet you always travel together just to make others think there are more of you. You must -really- hate it when you have to split up. You are outcasts, cursed by the light, just like us.

But why? It wasn't as if they hadn't seen stranger creatures on their journey through many worlds. And why no questions about their weapons, they seemed all to willing to just let the matter drop. Perhaps they were accustomed to things such as 'magic'. Or maybe they simply felt further questions would lead to prying into their own secrets.

Well, at least they had -something- to take back to Xemnas. But no hearts, of course not. Maybe if they fought enough heartless, or a keyblade MAGICALLY appeared. Tch...as if.

"Um...."
Demyx scratched at an ear. Age...age...age.
"...Lemme get back to you on that one Xiggy."
He...really had no idea. And he didn't want to think about it. SO THERE.

He was fidgeting now, quite ready to -go-. Sure, the..things...they were talking to were kinda neat. But the longer they hung around the more of a target they made themselves out to be, and Demyx didn't want to be a -target-. Fighting sucked. He didn't want to fight god damnit.

"Er...Xiggy?"
He shot the other a look that hopefully said 'can we friggin go NOW?!' and made a little gesture with his paws.

Xigbar rolled his eyes, the kid didn't get it at all.

Leaving, yes, that was a good idea about now. Clearly they weren't going to learn anything more about this world by standing up here chatting, and he wasn't especially interested in answering anymore questions either...or giving Demyx the chance to BLURT OUT THE WHOLE STORY! Then the Gargoyles would make the connection of heartless to nobody, and well, it would have been bad.

The issue of course now was how to break that awkward silence and get the--oh perfect.

"It's been a lovely chat n all, but...we've got company."

He pointed behind the largest Gargoyle, and sure enough, there were the heartless coming back for more. Or wait, maybe that wasn't a heartless, it looked similar to a gargoyle, but it was...metal?

Either way, it was a distraction, and while the Gargoyles (and the new arrival) were occupied, Xigbar created a dark portal for himself and Demyx to slip away through.

Of course, now there was that other problem of a FAILED mission. Recon, when you were supposed to be collecting hearts? Yeah, they needed -something- more to take back.

Heh, they'd stop off in Traverse Town. A keyblade wielder had once shown up there, maybe it would happen again. And if they took some time for games in the arcade, well Xemnas didn't need to know that.

"Happy now?"

OHTHANKGODTHEYWERELEAVING.

Because man, Demyx so didn't want to fight whatever the hell that thing was. Big and ugly, time to go!

There was no fight to make Demyx follow this time. As soon as the dark portal was up the sitarist was on Xigbar's heels to follow. And...YAY! Traverse Town. Traverse Town is good! Maybe they could stay a while.

Or another couple days . That sounded pretty good too.

"So uh....what are we here for?"
