Nosferatu did not have a reflection, nor did dracula or many other of the vampires in history of movies/horrors/ and such.. mostly it's only the "new generation" craps that seem to have them =) maybe it's a bit more complex than that.. maybe she's a youkai vampire instead of the traditional human vampire... so yeah.. *blame yukari* =) Actually, a normal vampire would probably be considered a youkai in Japan, as the term seems to encompass supernatural beings in general. But really, it doesn't make any sense for them to have no reflection anyway, unless they were also invisible. So I guess that's one acceptable quality of typical new-age vampires... vampires don't have reflections to symbolize their lack of souls because they are undead. stare or it might have been because they sold their souls to the devil for immortal life or something.. I forget which but it's one of those mrgreen

Obviously, Remilia manipulated fate so that she could have a reflection. Also, it's Gensokyo. You can't be bound by the laws of common sense.

Sky Torisuna Obviously, Remilia manipulated fate so that she could have a reflection. Also, it's Gensokyo. You can't be bound by the laws of common sense. Except...not having a reflection isn't common sense... But yeah, Gensokyo. And Yukari.

I think you're referring to the Dead, which are soulless corpse puppets controlled by a vampire, necromancer, etc. The reason some vampires don't cast reflections is because they don't want to see themselves. In some, vampires lack reflections *because* they lack a proper soul. In others, they do have a soul, they're just undying and must pray upon the blood of the living. There's no single vampiric mythology, anywhere. Heck, the first vampires didn't even have fangs.

MidBossVyers I think you're referring to the Dead, which are soulless corpse puppets controlled by a vampire, necromancer, etc. that line made me lol xd zombies often have souls, as they are still decomposing and whatnot into skeletals, though I have heard of skeletons not having shadows before... but generally you don't see too many rotting piles of flesh that DON'T have shadows xd vamps don't rot in a sense of the definition.. maybe you were the one thinking of the dead when you wrote that wink proven fact: vampires hunt, eat, and sleep, those are basic instincts, you don't need a soul to do those. anyways, i've come to a conclusion that remy is not actually a vampire, but a humanpire.. yup, that's right, she was originally a bat that was bitten by ozzy osbourne and turned into a human. No other solution could possibly make any sense =) (oh btw, I got photoshop back eheh, enjoy the complimentary picture)
