Is it possible for the mods to add a few rolls in between you being auto kill and matching levels?
Because my pokemon are 10+ higher than what I'm fighting, and the dice rolls under 5 frequently for me. Level 15's should not be losing to level 5's and 7's T-T
If your Pokemon's level is 15 more than the opponent's you win.

If your Pokemon's level matches the opponent's: Roll a 5 or higher
If your Pokemon's level is under 5 less the opponent's: Roll a 6 or higher
If your Pokemon's level is 5 less than the opponent's: Roll a 10 or higher
If your Pokemon's level is 10 less than the opponent's: Roll a 15 or higher
anything below 15 levels beneath you opponent loses automatically.
I know it sucks when you are using a lvl 20 Pikachu and you get killed by a lvl 6 Rattata By rolling say a 2. But Sadly you can't auto kill it until you are 15 lvls higher then your opponent. Don't worry it will come in time and it will be all worth it.
smile * I don't know if you are pointing out any confusion to the rest of the system or not so in case I will explaine it briefly via an example.
If your Pokemon's level matches the opponent's: Roll a 5 or higherPikachu lv 5 Vs Rattata lv 5 -- Player must roll a 5 or higher to win
ADDING IN TYPES, this works in any battleor Growlithe lv 5 VS Weedle lv 5 --- Player must roll a 5 or higher to win HOWEVER because growlithe is a FIRE pokemon he is stronger then grass.. so you get to ADD +2 to whatever you rolled. Say you have your lv 5 growlithe against the lv 5 weedle and you roll a 4. Then because you are using fire against a grass type add 2 more to your roll which = 6 Since your roll is now 6 it's considered a 5 or higher and you just won.
biggrin So that can help a LOT when your out on luck and rolling low numbers suddenly!
If your Pokemon's level is under 5 less the opponent's: Roll a 6 or higherThis one confused me too when they wrote it. Maybe it didn't get you but it still makes me read it over and over to this day. Anyway, If your pokemon is say lv 3 and you are battling a wild pokemon lv 7. You are only 4 lvs less then the wild pokemon so you only need to roll a 6 or above to win. But if you where lv 3 and the wild pokemon was say lv 10, the you would be 7 lvs less then the wild pokemon.. then you would fall under the category below and have to roll a 10 or higher to win.
If your Pokemon's level is under 5 less the opponent's: Roll a 6 or higherIf your pokemon is lv 3 and you are battling a lv 9 for instance you are 6 lvls less then the pokemon your battling so you must roll a 10 or higher.
If your Pokemon's level is 10 less than the opponent's: Roll a 15 or higherIf your pokemon is lv 20 and your up against a lv 38 then you are 18 lvls less then the pokemon your battling, so you must roll a 15 or higher to win.
If your Pokemon's level is 10 less than the opponent's: Roll a 15 or higher(I just had a player ask me about this one the other day.)
Yes if your pokemon is lv 20 and the pokemon you are battling is lv 10 then you auto-win. Because you are over 15 lvls higher then what your battling and yes you can gain lvls this way - as in the game you will still gain exp however it's not a lot in game, well here when you raise your lvls on your pokemon you have to win more battles to lvl up. Soo it's a sorta give and take. We don't recommend sitting around in route 2 as a lv 30 or something doing auto kills to gain lvs because.. well lets face it you have places to go and badges to win. If you really WANT to sit in one spot and train via auto kills go ahead but i assure you it will probably get boring as there is no thrill to it the way there is when it's a roll of the dice.
smile Enjoy and I hope that break down helped!
