Personally, I think it's really, really gross. I'm thinking of on the board of 'discusting'. If it's like sister/sister, brother/brother, sister/brother...it makes me want to vomit.

However, I can see when it's like 4th cousins or something, who didn't even know they were cousins. Anything beyond that it just...no.

I suppose I can be classified as hypocritical, seeing as how me being gay, and a lot of people call that 'wrong' and 'discusting'. I suppose it's just an opinion. True, love is love...and if I saw people who were incest, I wouldn't treat them any differently...it just grosses me out.

do way more research hon.... that rumor started before genetic research was even an idea. and american puritans started it. we are pretty much the only counrty with and huge moral issue against family members having sex with each other as long as it's not forced. We're the only place that sits around making laws against it. And people tend to twist the definition of incest. The whole moral issue supposedly came from the bible. And the bible is very clear on its definition of incest. i'll post it for you guys in a sec.

It also goes on to forbid homosexuality.... so if you have a problem with incest, you might as well hate yourself otherwise you're just another mindless hypocrite who the bible sentenced to hell. Incest as you can see is defined by culture. Our is much too strict and based on mostly myth. The genetic problems only occur in sparsely populated placed where years of inbreeding occur. one kid with even your mom or dad is just as likely as anyone else's kid to have something wrong with it. It's very complicated. You and a parent could have tons of perfectly healthy kids and you and the furthest from related person could have mutilated, diseased babies. As long as the inbreeding doesn't continue, you're ok. if you have a kid with a relative, hope your kids don't go for the same idea and most of the time they don't just like having gay or stupid parents doesn't always mean the kid will be gay or stupid. Don't be prejudiced.
