"Perhaps...perhaps," she murmured, staring down into the darkness of the well, stretching her wings to let them warm over the stone. "I must confess to being concerned with this Fleet which has taken control of our species, but at the same time they take from us some freedoms, they are creating many more blooms than before. So our numbers are increasing. Which is a good thing." She sighs softly.

"I just wish we had the freedom to make a bloom and raise it ourselves. I miss having children to tend to."

A sad smile lilted on Arae's lips, and her gaze became unfocused as it turned inward to memory. "Oh yes, several, but they are all long since gemstones to time. I am what is referred to as an ancient. I have lived a long, long time, far beyond the normal lifespan of a feien, and until recently did so without any need for a bond. But after a long sleep, and the fading of magics on this world, I awoke with the need for a bond and to the knowledge that my many children are long gone from Gaia."

Arae reached over to pat his hand. "Do not fear, for they lived well and died well in the normal course of the cycle of birth and death. I do not mourn their passing." She gazed up at the sky. "I should return to the tower. Sajhiri will fret if I'm out after dark. It was a pleasure to meet you Hadrian. I can sometimes be found in the Fleet HQ if you care to seek me out another time." She rose and launched herself into the air with a parting wave.

((Have to head out, but hopefully that gives you an excuse to bring him to the HQ))

What the hell was he doing out here again? Silva paused mid-air, fingering his toothpick and looking around. Oh, right, he had wanted to get out of the house. It was getting right to the time of day he liked best, where the shadows dramatically covered the ground, much larger than the thing they were shadowing.

Not a bad place to hunt--He jerked as he felt the magical signature of another feien, looking towards the well. "Who the hell--" He bit back the words, moving closer and eyeing the feien as he searched his mind. He'd never met this one before...

Silva snorted and flew in, dropping down on the lip of the well and looking down for a moment before speaking. "You're not related to a guy named Neruo, are you?" He asked. They were both orange, but that was about where the resemblence stopped.

Silva looked at the hand and raised an eyebrow. He never had understood shaking hands. "Silva." He said, fingering his toothpick. Used to be he wouldn't even tell his name, but he'd gotten so used to Aleric and Soho telling people that it didn't matter anymore.

He was also starting to remember how little he gave a s**t about male feien in general. He turned and eyed the shadows, disappearing as one of the shadows from the wooden poles holding the roof over the well passed over him.

Silva shook his head, looking back to the other male. "First we get a psychopath now a pyromaniac. What next, a clown? You light s**t on fire often?" He asked.

The connection was obvious to Silva. They were all ******** up in the head. "Fire?" He asked, eyeing the flame thoughtfully. "That explains why your signature is so strange."
