James Tanner celestasia James Tanner Xenin Gonadz = HumanLife celestasia My amp doesn't need a pedal. Neither does mine. Running peddles through my amp just makes it sound like crap. 3nodding I'd say go with that Muff James is yakin on about. I might even invest in one. 3nodding but what if your amp, does sound like crap, and pedals sound better...btw I disagree, most people use pedals, multi effects or stomp boxes Right now, I have a s**t amp, and pedals do make it sound better, and when I get my marshall for xmas, they will sound so ******** cool. cool I take lessons on an amp with a pedal, and the crate I have at home doesn't have one. It would be pointless to put a pedal on mine it has multiple effects on it's own and adding extra distorition would just mess it up. Well generally, you don't use a dist pedal at the same time as amp dist. Having them both on at the same time sounds like crap. I think effects in the amp are only worth using if there is a switch where you can turn them off via a floor switch, otherwise they can be pretty useless in a gig situation. that was my point

James Tanner Rhoads James Tanner Rhoads I personally prefer certain amp distortions to pedals neutral In tube amps, they have amazing distortion when the tubes are saturating. However in solid states, I really prefer to have pedals, and maybe to occasionally use the amp disortion ready in case I feel like change. wink I like my Line-6... is that a solid-state? Because Line-6 does everything digitally... I think all Line6 are solid state, atleast i know the SpiderII series are all SS. Yes all Line6 are SS.
