"It's 'kaaaay~." She had nothing to apologize for! This was actually fun! She managed to get into the position she wanted and watched as her friend fell onto her side on the floor, laughing and turning to flop onto the girl. Ha! She won! It wasn't until after that she heard a gurgling from one of them...well she didn't feel it so it had to be from Faris. She blinked and climbed off the gargoyle to stare at her stomach, poking at it a few times. It was talking! No talking!
Hm? Evari was still poking and prodding at Faris' tummy when she turned to check out the line of tickets sticking out of the little slot. Tickets? What were they for indeed! She grabbed them and pulled them free of the machine's evil hold on them, staring at the strip of tickets in her hand. "I'unno! ...Hungry?" Hmm...oh! That was why they were there! Pizza! Evari grinned and threw her arms around Faris. "Lesseat!" It was sure to be done by now! She'd just have to find Xai, who was sitting and waiting with their pizza at their table, and force her to sit with Faris and her mommy so they could all eat together! No way in hell was she ditching her new friend.

She let out a small 'oof' as Evari flopped on her but otherwise she didn't struggle or try to toss the glowing girl off. When she got up she also sat up and brushed herself off.
Faris uttered a short series of giggles when Evari poked at her stomach. She couldn't help it, the Gargoyle squirmed and lightly batted at Evari until she finally stopped and paused thoughtfully. "Kie, maybe one of our Mama knows what thems are for," she indicated the tickets in Evari's hands as she hugged back onto her for a moment before she nodded. Her stomach uttered a small grumble and it made her fidget.
"You eat with us rightright?" She asked hopefully, "ororororor we can come eat with you." The stomach complained more the longer it took to work out logistics of how this whole arrangement would be made.

Faris was a genius! Of course her mom or Xai would know! They were older, that meant they knew some stuff or something. They had to be useful somehow, right? She swayed with Faris hanging onto her and hummed, looking down at her tummy when it talked again. It was chatty! "S'talkin'~." She giggled, looking away from her tummy to Faris' face when she asked her question. Eat with them? Of course! She wanted to eat with them! Evari flopped down on her side for a moment, still holding onto Faris as she did, and rolled over onto her other side.
Hmm...she'd bring Xai to Faris and Luis' table. Finally letting her go, Evari got back up on her feet with their tickets still in her hand. "Eat wichoo!" Evari stated proudly, grinning as she helped her friend back up if she needed it. Once they were both standing she hurried over to where she'd last seen Xai, nearly running into server who was coming up to the table with their pizza. She peeked over the top of the table at Xai, staring up at her with wide eyes. "Donlike this table." She pointed at the table where Luis and Faris had been sitting. "Want that ooooooone~!" Xai blinked, looked at that table and then looked back down at Evari.
"But there's alre--"
"It's 'kay!" Evari tugged at her hand. "C'moooon! 'Ris wants uuuuus!" She whined at her, cheering when Xai finally obliged with a little sigh and picked up the pizza, allowing herself to be tugged along to the other table.
"Ah, hello. She insisted on it...it's alright?"

"It issssss, it needs to shush," she giggled a bit and rubbed at her belly. Faris let Evari flop about and giggled and then nodded when the glowing girl got up and announced that they were going to eat with her and her mother. She stood up with Evari's help and then fled over to her and her mother's table just as Luis was about to get up and look for her. Faris climbed onto her seat and wiggled excitedly.
"Friend can come eat with us rightrightright?" Faris chattered excitedly as Luis moved to sit back down with a bit of a bemused expression on her face.
She was about to answer when around that time Xai and Evari showed up. The Satyress gazed up at the Alien and blinked a bit. My, she looked interesting. Not that she had any right to say who was and was not strange but she was obviously different. Luis nodded a bit as she answered Faris and woman's question all at once, "Of course it is, pull up a seat an' enjoy."
"Yay! Sit nexts to me 'Vari!" Faris said happily.

Oh, so Evari wasn't just making it up. Alright then! That made Xai feel a bit better, now she wouldn't feel as awkward being sent away from a table she shouldn't even be at. Evari grinned and happily got up to sit beside her friend, wiggling excitedly in her seat and watching Xai sit down beside Luis and set their own pizza down on the table alongside Faris and Luis'. "I'm Xai, it is very nice to meet you." She said to the woman beside her, blinking and looking up at the top of her head. What were those? Horns? How interesting! "Those horns are very cool! Do they serve a purpose of some kind?" Her headwings served only aesthetic purposes but perhaps this woman's horns did something!
Evari blinked at Xai and just stared at her, then Luis, but then the pizza. Adults were stupid, it was food time! "..." Evari cast a sly glance at Faris' pizza. Their pizzas were the same size, and even had the same toppings...their pizzas were the same...
...She had an awesome idea.
She tapped at Faris' shoulder with a huge grin on her face, her eyes wide with excitement. "Hey, 'Riiiiiis! Race ya!" Evari challenged her friend, pointing at their pizzas.

Luis nodded a bit, "I'm Luis and that is my daughter Faris," she nodded to the small gray girl who was excitedly waiting for her new bestest best friend to sit next to her. She barely paid any attention at all to the two adults now talking to each other and forming some sort of bond based on the fact that they were now seated together. Luiseach blinked a bit at the question and seemed to pause thoughtfully before she answered with a small smile, "I suppose they serve th' purpose of givin' me somethin' to defend m'self wi' in a pinch, darlin'," she answered honestly as she began to eat at her own meal and gazed over at the rather colorful girl that seated near Faris, "That one's yours, hm?"
Luckily Faris hadn't touched her pizza yet so the thought of a race to eat the pizza sounded... "Awesome!" Faris chimed with an excited nod and a bit of a wiggle, "we...start...NOW...!" the Gargoyle said excitedly and at the mark of 'now' she picked up her pizza and began to nom it on down.

"Defend? ...With your head?" Xai tapped at her chin and stared thoughtfully at the horns. How did one do that? Did they simply...bend over and run? But that was just silly! Surely there had to be a better way to protect oneself! Luis asked about Evari and Xai smiled, nodding her head and looking away from the other woman's horns to watch the children. "Mhm! Her name is Evari. She came to be via a...um...glove." Yes, a glove. She was pretty sure children didn't normally come to life that way (Ha, isn't she pretty?) but it was the truth! Hm...but maybe all children did! "Is your Faris the same way?"
Evari cheered and pulled the pizza to her when Faris gave her approval. Awesome! They could totally finish these pizzas! Her hands were held up at the ready to pick up her first slice of pizza, staring intently at her first victim until she heard 'NOW!'. She then grabbed up the first slice and nommed it as best she could without getting sick, looking at Faris every now and then to see how she was doing.
Xai blinked and stared at the children looking just as baffled as when she had been informed Luis used her head to defend herself. She turned away from the children to regard Luis with a confused little frown. "Are children normally like this?"

"Well, les' say some bloke is a moron enough t'tangle wi' me close up. All I'd 'ave to do is rear my head back and then smash it forward and it'd hurt 'im more than me," she explained, "cause m'horns protected a sensitive part o' m'head." That seemed like a good explanation and the Satyress shrugged, "Got m'hands and I know how to use a blade if I need to." She quietly drank at her soda and ate her food as she listened to Xai explain the 'origin' of Evari and then asked her about Faris. Luis blinked a bit, "Kinda...She came outta a gargoyle statuette," she explained quietly as she took another bite out of her pizza.
Was Evari from that shop, too?
Faris chowed down but she had cost herself a lot of time by pausing to take a quick drink of her soda and that's when Evari got ahead of her and eventually won. Her stomach had a light bulge to it as she leaned back with a small belch and a hiccup, "'Scuze. 'Vari is winnar~!" she chimed cheerfully not really the type to be a sore loser.
The Satyress laughed a bit and shrugged, "From what I 'ave noticed? Aye, an' supposedly boys are much stranger than wee lasses."

...Oh...well alright. That made a little more sense. Xai seemed satisfied for now especially when Luis went on to explain she also knew how to use a 'blade'. Like, a sword? Huh! How interesting! She was still so curious about these things about Luis but then she told her Faris came out of a statue? ...Wait, what? "Um, I'm sorry. What's a 'gargoileh'?" She didn't know what that was! How curious. So not all children came from gloves? Ugh, and here she'd thought she had it all figured out too! Switch had said Evari came from the glove and...sigh!
Meanwhile, Evari was chowing down on her pizza without bothering with silly things like pausing to take a drink. Silly Faris! Though there did come a point when she felt a little queasy, but she would ignore it for now in favor of trying to win this race. Couldn't lose, couldn't lose! Before she knew it the entire pizza was gone and she sighed with relief, patting her tummy with both hands and giving a belch of her own shortly before Faris finished her own pizza. She won! Yay! She burped again and grinned at Faris. "YAAAAAY~!" She won! Awesome! She looked incredibly proud of herself, slouching in her seat and leaning to the side to support herself on her friend. That was so much fun!
"S-stranger?" What could be stranger than Evari?! She just ate an entire pizza all by herself! She just...jammed it in her face!

Luis blinked as she had her accent pretty much thrown back into her own ears, not out of malice but because it confused the other party. She cleared her throat and tried to pronounce it more clearly, "Gar-goy-el," she annunciated, "y'know, them stone critters that usually sit perched in th'buildin'. They're supposed to protect ya from evil spirits and the like," she explained. "Faris', uhh, statue was much smaller an' it came from a shop that sells 'em curiosities..."
Faris supported Evari easily enough but boy did she feel overly stuffed now. She barely finished her pizza which was amazing because usually she ate everything that she could possibly get her hands on, but that was just as well. At least she was not-stuffed enough to remember something as her eyes caught sight of the tickets, "Mamamamamama, what them's for?" she pointed at them where they laid when Evari put them down.
The Satyress took her attention off of Xai for a moment and looked where her daughter pointed, "Those are f'prizes at the booth we passed when we got in, darlin'," she explained quietly and stared at them, "I think you guys got enough to get yourselves a lil' somethin' before we go."
Faris sat up and nodded excitedly though she felt so stuffed, "Less'go get prizes!"
Her attention went back to Xai when she heard the blue haired woman call out in a rather incredulous tone, "Aye, darlin' lil boys are a little odder sometimes. Sometimes t's the other way around but usually...T's true. Somethin' in their brains just wired differ'ent."

Xai made a little 'ohhh!' sound of understanding when Luis spoke more clearly for her. Gargoyle! Okay, now what was a gargoyle? Luckily Luis continued on to explain what they were...sort of. Stone critters? Well that certainly explained Faris' appearance! But stone things that sat on buildings? That sounded so creepy! No wonder they protected from evil spirits, they sounded more frightening than a simple spirit! Did they just look at them and tell them to go away? How curious. She wanted to find out more! She perked up a little at the mentioning of a curiosities shop, tilting her head. "Balcombe? Owned by a very nice lady named Switch?" How fun! So Evari and Kay weren't the only children to originate from that shop! "That's where I got my glove!" She chirped, grinning with pride.
Evari was stuuuuuffed. Her head was tilted against Faris' shoulder while she watched her friend grab the tickets she'd put on the table before, sitting up again and looking up at their guardians. Right! These were for prizes right? She gasped and bounced excitedly in her seat for a moment, the motion making her burp and cover her mouth with her hands. "'Scuze." She said, copying Faris earlier. If she said it after burping then Evari would too. Her hands were still on her mouth as she turned to nod in agreement to Faris, flopping over off her seat and onto the floor. After she was off the chair she was back up on her feet in a hurry, grabbing the tickets off the table and grabbing Faris' hand.
"Less'go, less'go~!" Evari said in a cheer, dragging her friend to the prizes she'd seen on the way in. Ohhh how many tickets did they have? What could they get? She saw a bunch of glowy things! Did they have enough for those? Unfortunately the answer was no, but they would surely find a way to make do with what they had.
Xai warily watched the pair hurry off to find a prize, turning back to Luis with a look of worry. "I sometimes wonder if Evari is wired properly at all." It was the truth, at least.

The Satyress blinked and nodded, "The very same," she replied quietly and tilted her head a bit and gazed over at the girls and smiled lightly as she observed them. They seemed to have hit it off rather well, which was a good thing. Everyone needs a precious friend to keep at their side for always. Luis gave a small laugh at Evari's burp and Faris giggled and nodded encouragingly at the show of manners.
Faris grasped Evari's hand in return and ambled off of her seat as she got up and scrambled after her glowing friend with a small cheer as she followed. Yay! Prizes! What could they get? Maybe they could get something real fun and neat or maybe they can get each other gifts! Gifts are awesome! She stared up at the booth thoughtfully once they had arrived and her tail flicked to and thro in a measured pace. The young man at the ticket booth grinned down at them.
"Lookin' to trade in your tickets?" He asked in a chipper tone.
Faris nodded excitedly as she pointed at the ticket that Evari held as she wiggled a bit in place, "How much we gots!?" she didn't exactly know how to count so good yet.
The vendor at the ticket booth laughed a bit and offered out his hand for the tickets, "Lemme see and I can tell ya."
Luis laughed a bit and shrugged, "She seems very energetic f'sure, but she'll always be yer gem, aye?"

"Wow! How interesting!" Now Xai was curious what other children were from that shop! She propped her head up in her hand and blew a bit of hair from her face, tilting it to the side a little when asked if Evari would always be her gem. Her gem? Gems were lovely, gems were nice, they were cherished. Was Evari a gem? She certainly glowed like one. She smiled a little. "I suppose." But it would be nice if the girl was, well...nicer. Less bratty. Easier to deal with. "I have certainly...never seen a child like her before."
Evari slapped the tickets down on the counter, looking very proud of herself. She nodded her head along with Faris as the man asked about trading in their tickets, already looking around at stuff. Oooh! That wand was glowy and made noises and stuff! It was 6...0...0 tickets. Ohoh! Did they have 600 tickets? How much was 600? "Weshidget that!" Evari informed both her friend and the man counting their tickets, pointing at the wand. It looked sooooo cool! And they could play with it together!

"It is interestin'. I found th' place from th' television. It was advertized there and I went ta check it out," she explained with a small shrug, "apparently Switch's partner set it up wi'out her permission and das when she gave me the statue that turned inta Faris, it was a gift for informin' her y'see," she explained thoughtfully and shrugged. Luis watched the woman with a small smile and chuckled a bit at her words, "T's the charm o' children, no two are the same, usually, unless they mimic each other for some reason," she smirked as she recalled the childish game.
The man chuckled and took the tickets and counted them. They were so cute at that age, though if he had known better he might have thought Evari was far less cute and would have wisely fled in terror.
Faris gazed at the wand and nodded a bit excitedly, it looked so neat! She'd totally share that with her friend she danced from foot to foot and watched the man count.
He finished counting and then gazed down at the tickets and frowned briefly, "Sorry kiddos, you only got thirty-seven tickets, it ain't enough, but you can get a couple of these." He offered up a set of plastic toy mushrooms.
"Awwh," Faris sulked as she picked out a purple capped one and looked it over before she offered it to Evari, "F'you!"

A partner? She hadn't seen a partner whenever she was there. "...Do you mean Kay? I thought he was just her son." That was odd, she'd never seen an ad on the television for the shop...huh. Oh well! In the end it didn't matter since Luis had Faris now and was happy with her, right? That was what mattered. She was pleased to hear no two kids were the same until she was informed that they liked to mimic each other. Mimics?! One Evari was bad enough! "That is, um...I see...uh...hm...I hope she never learns of this game." It didn't sound at all fun!
Evari was bouncing excitedly on her toes, staring wide-eyed at the man with an excited squeal as he counted. Thirty-seven? It...it wasn't enough!? Her grin pulled down into a frown and she stared at the man with a look of pure horror. "H-how much d'we need?" She asked in dismay, staring sadly at the man and then the wand. But it...was thirty-seven close to six and two zeros?! Oh no! Evari sighed and looked at the mushrooms that he had brought out for them to see, putting her head on Faris' shoulder and staring at them. She blinked and stared at the purple mushroom being offered to her, grinning again and taking it.
"Thankies, 'Ris!" She hugged it and stared at the rest of the mushrooms, humming thoughtfully and then picking up the red capped mushroom and offering it to Faris. It was red! Like her glow! "Shroomy fer 'Ris!"
