Haha, thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! Sorry for the late reply, I had to run off to work. I'm glad you guys seem to enjoy my halfatars as much as I enjoy making them. And there's always some combination I haven't tried yet, so I plan on continuing to make them until I run out of ideas completely! -is such a dork-

I've been on tektek all day long, but I'll have to try making a halfatar when I actually feel like tekteking again. XD Thanks for the instructions in your journal. I can't imagine how long that took you.

@Bottle: Ooo, I'd love to see any attempts! Heh, the journal list is a work in progress. If I was less lazy I'd try to make a chart to make the list easier to read.
Then the next step is figuring out the best items for male avatars...

Interesting. I always have been awed by halfies ever since that black and white entry won a few months (or years?) ago in the arenas.

The thing about halfatars for me is that you can't make them in tektek
because I'm always unsure about the layering and sometimes tektek gets it wrong

so unless you have a few ton of items
its really hard

With that being said, here is my tektek version of a halfatar XD

Dusk/Dawn themed.

Or at least attempted. sweatdrop

For being my first halfatar ever, I'm pretty proud of it. Even if it wouldn't layer on Gaia. >.<;

Kat: I actually started with a male base to try to put a spin on things. A little more than half way through I switched it to female, and noticed it looked a lot better, haha. I left the link to the item description on the image in case it may give you any more ideas for your list.

@krazy: That is one frustrating thing. Though my first halfatar was an experiment in tektek (when fiddling around for a tektek competition) that inspired me to start trying halfatars, hehe!
The main reason I prefer Gaia though, besides layering, is that sometimes a raised hand can mean the difference between hours of frustration trying to hide some waist pixels and instant glee.

@Bottle: Awesome! I love the color combo and the shape, and nice use of the phoenix to distribute weight! P'shaw, who cares about Gaia layering - making halfatars on Tektek is fun too. Thanks for the item list, I'll be sure to update when I have a chance.
