Erm, call me a nubby, but what
is a skype prommie? A skype user? Someone obsessed with skype? People in a specific group who all use skype? Something else?

Don't worry, I would have been confused as well.
Well, first, lets break it up:
Skype: The program thing
Prommie: Prominent user on a forum. These same users are also usually discredited as being "elitist"
At first, these "skype prommies" from that guild, was just a group of friends on the guild(these users were also well known among the guild), who would also talk to each other over MSN. They would also invite some of the users into their MSN convos, but as soon as one of them discovered Skype, they all converted in not too long of a time.
Shortly after, some other guild members were also using Skype. Unfortunately at the same time, the "prommies" started singling out users, until it was just their own specialized group from within Skype.
At first, I THINK they actually called themselves skype prommies as a joke to make to fun of the regular users, because the others were calling them that.
Or they came up with that term on their, but as a joke.
Either way, in the end, they all became Skype Prommies
And, they were also elitist as well(most of them at least. Well, from how I remembered a couple of them).
And since a lot of other people liked them, they were practically invincible.
You couldn't say s**t to them, even if you were ******** right.
Everyone would gang up on you.
And you know what? If you actually said something to them that they knew was true, but couldn't really argue what was said,
"You're causing drama"
And after that was said, you'd most likely be banned.
So yeah. TAOLM, or whatever it's called now, seems to be a guild full of sheep.
