"I do!" Dani brightened, thinking of her dogs. "Tick and Tock. They're chihuahuas."
She began to poke around her lunch again, knowing that she needed to eat even if it wasn't particularly tasty. Glancing up, she asked, "What about you? Do you have any pets?"

Yes something in common!
"I have a dog Smudge, he is a border collie pup, I have a cat to and some degus, a chinchilla and two rats." She looked rather proud of herself and her animal collection. Of course she adored all her pets and though Smudge probably got most of her attention she made sure that everyone else also got some attention.
"I might be getting another dog to, just working on dad to let me." She smiled. Pets, pets, pets... oh how she them!

Dani didn't think she could handle more than the two dogs she already had, but she could see how someone who led a less active lifestyle than her would like to have a lot of animals to occupy their time. It wasn't a slight against Louisa (really), just an assumption she made based on their limited conversation. She seemed like a nice enough girl, though.
"That's a lot of animals. My two keep me pretty busy as far as pets go." She reached up, swiped her bangs out of her eyes. "But I do a lot of other things too, so I don't actually have much free time."
She didn't mean to come across sounding pompous or self-centered, and because she didn't, her expression remained friendly.

Louisa nodded. She had too much free time, she rarely did anything other then her photography.
"I suppose that makes sense. Our cat doesn't need much of our attention though. Always off hunting." She smiled hoping that it would seem like she doesn't spent most of her time at home with her animals. She was sure it wasn't something that most people did all the time and she did so want to make some friends. She was just really shy.
"What do other things do you do then? If your busy all the time..."

Dani would have answered, but just then, the bell rang. She scowled at the clock, not having realized how much time had passed, and stood, gathering her things. She shot Louisa a brief smile, saying, "Maybe we can do lunch tomorrow!"
It hadn't been so bad sitting and talking to her, after all, and Dani could always use more friends.

The bell, how typical.
"Yeah maybe. Well see you around!" She smiled as she gathered all her folders together and put them under her arm. Right class, whatever one it was she didn't want ot be late thats for sure.
"Bye!" There, this was her being polite.
