"You think?" asked Tallulah. This was great. With most of the cat wing out of commission, they were really strapped for space. Any dog they could get sent off to a good home was great. "You still want to go look at cats?" she asked, taking Smudge's lead from the other girl.
"I'm Tallulah, by the way," she said, motioning for the girl to follow her. "I don't think I caught your name?"
She pushed the door open and ushered the girl and the dogs back the way they had come. "Let's leave Peggy and Smudge in the office while we look at cats, okay?" she suggested. As they passed the front desk, she swung around it and rapped on the door behind it.
"Can I leave some dogs in here for a second? I'm taking an adopter to look at cats. I've got her border collie and, uh, Peggy - the wheaten?"
The answer from the office seemed to be the affirmative. Tallulah took both leads and handed the dogs off to the person in the office. "It scares some of the cats if we take dogs into their wing," she explained apologetically. "Let's go."
And they were off again. "Did you want a kitten? Or an older cat?"

Louisa nodded, "Yep she is the one and I would love to go look at the cats still!" She was still working out how to get a cat and two dogs back to her house but that was a minor problem, she would manage it somehow.
"Oh I am Louisa, it's nice to meet you Tallulah!" She smiled widely now, Louisa was in heaven with all these animals around her. She nodded as Tallulah mentioned leaving the dogs in the office and Louisa agreed quickly, she was more then aware some cats didn't like dogs.
"See you two in a minute!" She said to the dogs before turning to follow Tallulah.
"I think a kitten or younger cat would be better as it would be easier for our other cat to take them in but an older cat that doesn't mind dogs should be okay too." She would love to take an older cat as she knew they were generally harder to rehome but her cat she had already was rather old and grumpy and she wasn't sure he would like another older cat. Though if she fell in love with one he would just have to learn to share the house with another older cat!
