My favorite are Good night Demon Slayer, Lovesong, Ex-Lover's Lover, and God Thinks, because he follows my beliefes about how people think they know god.

Yesss, Voltaire topic. xd
I have Boo Hoo, The Devil's Bris, and Then And Again. Love 'em all.
Better than The Cure? That's all personal preference. Though I do tend to lean more towards his works, since he's more my generation. *shrugs*
Anyone read "Paint It Black?" It gave me some great ideas, not to mention is immensely entertaining.

black_mage_Lucia I love Volaire - REAL goth music. Real goth-ROCK. "Goth music" can apply to several genres, including goth-rock, deathrock, darkwave, dark-cabaret, ethereal, ambient, and ebm.

I love Voltaire's music, even though I only have one of his albums at the moment. By chance once, a friend and I ran into him at the Brooklyn botanical gardens during the cherry blossom festival. He was a little surprised when two cheery fifteen year old girls dressed horribly in tie-dye and black told him how much they adored his music before asking for his autograph. He was actually really nice though. Strangely enough, the friend I was with also happened to meet him again outside a goth club in the city a few days later. Lucky her. =(

Voltaire...one of my all-time favorites. I downloaded "When You're Evil" and immediately said "This artist goes to the top of my playlist". I need to purchase some of his albulms, though. Downloading is so slow... does he/his band have a website that I can get them off of?

Chibi Itachi139 does he/his band have a website that I can get them off of? www.voltaire.net Is his official site. He's put up 8 songs for download (all of course are legal, since he owns the properties). They're all decent songs, but all lean on the "quirky comedy" side. The only way to really get his full range of styles is to pick up his CDs. While each CD has quite a few quirky comedy tracks, each also has a few serious and tragic tracks, and a few parody tracks.

Oh, I love Voltaire. When I first heard BRAINS!!, I fell in love with his work. I especially love his comics. Deady the Malevolent Teddy and Oh My Goth! are some of the funniest comics I've every read. I just found out the otherday that Voltaire is coming to play at a Goth nightclub here in Dallas, and I was really excited and freaking out. But then I found out that you have to be 18 to get in the club, and I'm only 16.... crying Do any of you know where I can get a good fake i.d.??

Thanks, that helped a lot. @Morrigan Discordia- Dallas?...so close.... Damn my 14-year-old age! I'd kill to see Voltaire live! or not. I don't really know at this point.

Quite a few of his shows allow minors. He regularly plays sci-fi conventions, which are always open to all ages. The conventions are a great way to see him (so I'm told) because the show itself is free, the conventions are reasonably cool, and as said, it's all ages.

*Bumps, smiles, and holds his thumb up* Thank you, happy little link list! biggrin
Anyway, I've thought about picking up one of his albums... whether to get "The Devil's Bris" or "Then and Again"... though the only songs I know are "When You're Evil" and "Goodnight, Demon Slayer" respectively.
