Hyagato watched the whole exchange between the people below from a branch in the lower reigoin of the canopy. The night vision goggles that he'd previously swiped from the eighth division store rooms serving him well in the inky darkness of the training grounds. A wide grin split his face. The captain had been there for about a half an hour now and still had no idea he was even there. Hyagato shifted, soundlessly, and watched from a more comfortable position. Let's see what tricks everyone has up their sleeves before I make an enterance.

[Hmm, I shouldn't have to point out to you, spike, that he wouldn't hear a dull thud from the creature's movements. I've made it explicitly clear that it's basically a ninja and makes no sound. And Kelson... just curious... Why would 8th Division have 12th Division Technology?] 博士弊 Jūnibantai Taichō 博士弊
There are things far worse than death. Allow me to show you.  The hollow let out a loud shriek that was unique to hollow, and would immediately key any idiots in as to what it was. However, they probably weren't expecting it to use Sonido. Which it did, and it charged another cero as it moved. It ended up behind them, still moving as stealthily as ever and unleashed another gigantic cero upon them, giving Elisia little to no time to re group after her last defense. Once it had released it's cero, it extended it's hind claws and leapt onto the back of Hiro, aiming to dig it's claws into his back and sink his teeth into his neck and even absorb some of his Reiryoku. Hei ignored Elisia's comment for now and continued to watch the hollow and also ignoring the fact that Hyagato was hanging around. It wasn't until the hollow had fired it's second cero that Hei had retreated and blended into the night, then quite literally vanished. It was as if he was no longer there.

xxxxBut still, my will is to [ F I G H T ] to defend everything at this ʀ ɛ a ʟ ɪ т ʏ Elisia's head flicked up suddenly as she had felt the sudden presence of someone else. However, her tensed body relaxed as she analysed the person. That person was definitely not of Captain level, roughly someone of a Lieutenant rank. She sighed with relief. More than two Captains in one place would be troublesome, especially since there would be three if Hei was somewhere around. The sudden shriek from the creature made her mind suddenly understand and comprehend what it was. What was a hollow doing in Shinigami territory? She whirled around, noticing the cero was forming behind her again. There was not enough time to shield herself. Using her shunpo, she landed a few hundred feet away, the cero not able to reach her entirely. She noticed that the Hollow had dared to leap onto Hiro's back and was trying to eat him again. Her hands immediately directed her paper sheets towards Hiro's back, carefully aiming for the actual Hollow, not Hiro. Gathering the particles at the end, the paper formed a deadly rain of paper needles. Keeping her hands steady, she hoped that Hiro would not move at all.
"Don't try anything, Hiro. Stay still." she muttered.
Where was Hei? Thinking about it, she sighed. He was most likely gone and disappeared after she had yelled to him.People have their [ O P I N I O N S ] about me but their words are always nothing but ʀ ц ӎ o ʀ s

As the hollow latched on to Hiro's back, he quickly jumped back against a tree in an attempt to dislodge the hollow. Still hurting disabled from the light, he decided to avoid the hollow in order to recover. Hiro then shouted "Ryu Kuro, Shade me in your darkness!" and instantly disappeared.

"Damn it." she whispered angrily under her breath.
She lifted her arms and directed the papers to form around her again with a simple movement of her hands. Spreading the density out again, she allowed the paper to settle around her in a orderly fashion. Where did Hiro go anyway? This Hollow was seriously infuriating her at the moment. Directing her paper towards the Hollow and clumping the particles together, she covered it from head to toe, stifling and restricting its movements. It would eventually die from lack of air, since the paper did not allow any sort of other particles through. She stood there calmly, holding her paper there. {Hiro used his shikai and cant be sensed in anyway, unless you hear his steps or something to that effect, he is invisible, scentless, and untraceable.}
As Hiro recovered enough to move silently, he cautiously made his way back to Elisia after noticing her. He knew that while the hollow wouldn't be able to detect him, it could hear his steps. As he made his way back he alerted Elisia to his presence by cutting a "H" on to a nearby tree, as she would not be able to hear his voice.

Kato took out his dagger again and rushed to the cocoon of paper with it held at the ready. Knowing that if it stayed in the cocoon it would perish, he quickly formulated a plan to keep in there, or at least kill it if it got out. If. His left eye glowed for a few seconds, and instantly about seven copies of Kato appeared, each of them appearing to walk and do other such things independently. Kato stationed them at strategic points around the cocoon, sealing that route of escape. Kato then jumped on top of a tree overlooking the monster, crouched, dagger at the ready, waiting for a sign that might indicate it escaped. "Elisia, is it still in there?" He paused, just slightly embarrassed. "You can probably sense it much better than I can.."

It looked as if Hiro was around and about, but keeping out of sight until the Hollow was taken care of. She looked back at the papers around the creature, taking all of her willpower of her mind to keep it there. How long would it take to kill it? That stupid thing seemed to be still struggling. Damn that Hei who had decided to leave this problem to them without helping whatsoever. Her eyes flickered up to Kato briefly, but then trained themselves back onto the papers. Probing very gently, she could still feel a presence in that cocoon.
"It's still there." she called to Kato.
Was it still alive though? It should not be, although she was not exactly sure that this thing would die from a lack of oxygen. After all, this was an experiment from 12th Division and there were a lot of unknown factors that could have been changed. There are things far worse than death. Allow me to show you. Being a natural-born survivor and rightfully so after surviving Hueco Mundo for dozens of years bey feeding off it's brethren, this particular hollow was not at all worried when it was taken hostage by pieces of paper. Though it had no idea what they were, his instincts told him there was a way out. It retracted it's claws right off bat. Then calmly waited, biding it's time as it's natural ability of Reiryoku absorption began deteriorating the structural integrity of the paper holding it bound. Everything used Reiryoku for attacks and something had to be holding this paper together. It also had to be made from something as well, likely Reishi. So it waited for several minutes on end, shutting down certain functions of it's body so it wouldn't run out of air. Then, when it felt the timing was right, it extended it's claws, ripped through the paper, tore this cocoon open and breathed in air. It noticed that Kato was right next to it holding a dagger, not that a dagger would do anything. It vanished with a staticky sound and reappeared the furthest it could be from any given Shinigami without leaving the area. This included Hiro, which despite his Shikai, he could still be felt through vibrations in the air and the earth. It was an animal, after all, and it's instincts were superior. It leapt onto a tree yet again and dashed up the trunk, then proceeded to hop from tree top to tree top in order to get away. It may have been hungry, but it wasn't stupid, time to regroup for now. For one split second it turned around and fired a bala right where it could tell Hiro was going to be in the next second, then turned tail and darted off.

As soon as the paper appeared to decompose, Kato knew that this plan had a fatal flaw. Kato's "clones" were too slow to hit it before it disappeared in a rush of static. "Shi--" He then heard the sound of a Bala being fired, and thought, "Hiro..". It was so obvious. Go for the weakest enemy. Come to think about it, it had been after Hiro all along. Instantly,the clone closest to the 'H' mark on the tree dived towards it and intercepted the bala at full force. The clone and bala disappeared in a flash of light. There was a rustle of leaves, Kato jumped down from the tree, and his left eye glowed again, as all the clones but one disappeared. He nodded to it and it went of in the direction the hollow had went off in, his judge being the gouges in the trees and displacement of the leaves. Kato watched it for a few seconds, then increased his reiatsu. His was light, so everyone in the area would become visible for the moment. He sighed and said, "Hiro...you can come out now." He then turned to Elisia and said, "Well, that was awkward," referring to the dagger incident. "I'm kinda squirrely when it comes to things like that..."

She held up her right hand and the papers whirled around the hand. Immediately the papers around her formed the shape of her zanpaktou and disappeared. Wasting her Bankai on such an annoyance was very stupid. At least she did not have to waste that much energy now. Sheathing her zanpaktou again, she also briefly looked where the hollow had gone, especially since now she could actually see what was going on. She surveyed the mess created by that Hollow with a grimace on her face. At least that wasn't as bad as wiping out the entire field.
"That's alright. We both have changed in quite a number of ways. I'd do the same for my Squad members if I thought they were being threatened." she answered quietly, "Anyway, how have you been since I last saw you?"
Subconsciously, her hand reached up to her neck again, to touch the necklace which still hung there, although it was out of sight. There are things far worse than death. Allow me to show you.  A voice echoed in the night, it was filled with malice and a bit of insanity. "Then maybe you should choose a different occupation." The unknown being let out a cackle and appeared behind Hyagato just as all but one of Kato's clones came to find a stave of light lodged in their hearts. This figure, now behind Hyagato, sneered. "The boya thinks he's sneaky." He shouldered his weapon, a black, long-handled scythe then broke down on the atomic level and phased away. The hollow bounded away from the forest, finally reaching the edge after several minutes of endless running. The same man that had appeared before Hyagato appeared infront of it, causing it to stop in it's tracks. The man took a swing at it's neck with it's scythe. His strike missed, and the man cursed as the hollow turned and darted off back towards the forest. he was intercepted by Hei who simply stuck a finger to it. The hollow went rigid on the spot, as Hei effortlessly subdued it by overloading it with Reiryoku. As he held it in the air with one finger, it swiftly stabbed it with a syringe containing a formula. Hei removed the syringe and quickly pulled his finger back, then jabbed it forward, causing the hollow to be knocked back as it began it's transformation into something far more terrifying. It let out a shriek as it changed, sprouting long, octopus-like tentacles out of it's back and losing it's tail as well as growing in size. It had lost some of it's swiftness but none of of it's prior modifications. The hollow, now furious and starving, bounded towards Hei who dissipated when attacked causing the hollow to change course and leap straight over the clone of Kato's and race towards the group yet again, this time running on it's hind legs. Hei looked at the other man, and jerked his head in the direction of Kato's clone. The man grinned wildly and struck it down with two swings of his scythe then sped after the hollow, keeping just behind it. It doesn't matter who they are, I'll ********' break em'.

"Don't move, Hiro. It's not safe yet." she told him.
As if sensing that there was something wrong, her zanpaktou's spirit appeared before her, in her actual human form. A tall, silver haired stood next to Elisia, her hands clutching two fans. Elisia stared at Huang. This meant something serious was coming. Huang rarely ever came as her human form, especially since it was very different to what people expected of Huang."What is it? Anything wrong?" she asked Huang, quietly whispering.
"Be careful. The hollow's not what you would expect." Huang answered, her usual cocky mood suppressed by a more serious atmosphere.
Huang started to fade with this warning and Elisia whispered again, "Rukki Huang." She waited silently, not moving at all as she let the paper flutter around her. The light meant that she was able to note that there was a stave of light lodged in mostly every single one of Kato's clones. Crap. The Hollow would most likely not be able to do this. Who was it then? What comrade would do this? A sigh spilled out of her lips again.
"Hei..." she cursed him under her breath.
She noticed the Hollow coming towards their group again. Using her shunpo, she effortlessly arrived a short distance away, hoping to attract the Hollow away from Hiro and Kato.People have their [ O P I N I O N S ] about me but their words are always nothing but ʀ ц ӎ o ʀ s

心の輝き Kokoro no Kagayaki 心の輝き
Light gives of itself freely, filling all available space. It does not seek anything in return; it asks not whether you are friend or foe. It gives of itself and is not thereby diminished.  The man landed in front of Kato and his mouth split open in a wide grin which was just barely visible due to the light coming from Kato. "Play with me, Taichō." He stood 5'3 with a scythe resting upon both of his shoulders. he sported short, white hair and green eyes with an eye-patch over the left eye. His body was littered with jewelry. He wore no shirt and had black gloves that went up to just below his shoulder, as well as black jeans with a belt. He kept his wrists upon the handle of the scythe as he sneered at the Captain.
Kagayaki appeared abruptly in front of Elisia, filling an area around her nd the girl with light upon her appearance. She didn't fade in like the man had, she wasn't there one second then there the next. The woman stood at 6' 8", had long, golden hair and wore a white dress that stopped around her knees. It supported her fair-sized chest by wrapping around the back of her neck, leaving most of her back bare. She also wore a type of shoulder-length gloves but her hands didn't go in. The fabric went over the back of her hands and was held in place by a small golden ring that rested on her middle finger. She flipped her hair, slowly opened her eyes and looked at the captain. She didn't speak, but the look in her eyes made it obvious that she would not allow Elisia to pass.
The hollow lumbered into the area, located Hiro through vibrations in the air and took a swipe at his with his now clawed hands. It let out a hollow-ish shriek and then released a cero from it's mouth.
Hei had long since left the area, now being near powerless without his Zanpakuto's spirits still connected to him. He stayed outside the forest, sitting just at it's edge. It doesn't matter who they are, I'll ********' break em'.

[It did seem a lot like a mini-arc. xd . I'm gonna have to ignore your earlier post, Angel, cuz Kitsune couldn't wait. I had it all planned out too....] scream ]
Kato didn't even have time to react to the better part of Elisia's comments because his brain was overloaded with conflicting signals. Flashes of light, a man with a scythe. His hands were pressed to his head. It was like he had died.....seven times. All his clones had died? That fast? Who? How? He struggled to keep his balance within himself and on the outside, as a man appeared in front of him. He growled at the man; he just wasn't able to speak right now. He just needed a few minutes to recover.....
Kanpata materialized in front of him, forming a shield with the crest of the phoenix that surrounded him 360 degrees. Kanpata spoke to the man in a serious voice. "Taicho can't play right now, but I can." Feathers of light shot out to the man at this close range. Kanpata smiled. These 'feathers' weren't all they appeared to be.
