Her first thought was that it was wet. It was also slightly awkward, but more than that it made the butterflies explode and her limbs tingle. She moved slowly, angling her head and bumping her nose against his. She let out a small, breathy giggle and a small 'sorry' against his lips, took a breath and kissed him this time.
It was new and exciting and something that Aggie had never, ever done before - kissing a boy, let alone one she'd never actually properly talked to before today was not something she'd thought she'd be doing when she woke up this morning. But she was and it was fun and he was cute, and she really, really had trouble gathering her thoughts at the moment.

Trace had, of course, kissed girls before. He had also kissed boys before, but not all of those times had been voluntary and he did not enjoy it. No, the only reason Trace would ever think about kissing a boy was for the sake of theater. For art.
Thinking about kissing boys had no right to be anywhere in his line of thoughts while he was kissing Aggie Thorsen. Trace banished the thought and tried to get closer to her. There was something in the way.
Laughing nervously and breaking away for just a moment, he pushed the bowl of grapes out of the way. Now it was his turn to whisper sorry and kiss back. He pulled her closer. One of his hands was making its way around her shoulders.
Oh, it was definitely just infatuation, just hormones, but no one ever said those were bad things. And she was definitely a better kisser than Mason His Douche Scene Partner.

If Aggie had known that Trace had been thinking about others (much less another boy!) during their kiss, she might have been slightly hurt. Well no, she'd most certainly be hurt and then she'd get mad, because even a wet blanket like Aggie had standards.
Slightly ironic, considering what she was doing at the moment. "Oh! Um, sorry, I'm not very good at this." She drew back somewhat and smiled sheepishly, having accidentally bitten his lip during her dopy daze. "I'm really sorry! You're not hurt, are you?"
She leaned in again, bumping her head against his nose in a failed attempt at assessing the damage. Oh gosh, what if he didn't want to kiss her again now that she'd messed up? Did he hate her? Oh, that'd be awful, he had to know that she'd never done anything like this before and she wasn't really sure how it was done and he'd understand, right? Because now she was just sort of worried and the mood was kind of gone, but oh god, he was so hot (well, not entirely gone).

"I'm fine," Trace assured her gently, although he did rub his nose and laugh a little. "Are you okay?" he asked. She'd hit him pretty hard. He gave her a gentle pat on the forehead. The biting hadn't even phased him - that was pretty tame.
"Gosh," he said, blushing, "I hope that wasn't to forward of me."
Mom had always said not to take advantage of girls! So of course, what had he gone and done?
The mood was, of course, now thoroughly killed, but there were always chances it might be rekindled later. He really did like her, he was finding, even if he'd barely just met her.

He was such a gentleman! Not that she hadn't already known that from seeing him around before and gossip from schoolmates, but really, it was different to have it directed at herself. If this'd been an anime, Aggie's eyes would've been bursting with little pink hearts, but as it was she had to content with another dreamy sigh and a dopey smile.
"I'm totally fine, don't worry about it!" Well, actually, she had the sneaking suspicion that she'd find a small bruise on said forehead later, but right now none of that mattered.
"And umh, I don't mind." She blushed again, looking bashful and fiddling with her hem. The ladylike thing would probably have been to run him around the bend a couple of times, but Aggie wasn't very ladylike and she really, really didn't mind. Trace was the sweetest guy she'd ever met, hands down better than Crazy Guy from English or any of her other classmates, and if it'd been someone else who'd kissed her out of the blue like that.. well, she probably would have freaked. But she'd always had a mini-crush on Trace and besides, Aggie couldn't imagine him taking advantage of anyone.
"B-but, does this mean I'm your g-girlfriend now? I'll be the best girlfriend ever, I swear! I can't cook as well as Fallon, but umh, maybe I could ask her for some tips and I could make you lunch, like. And clean! And, uh, s-stuff." Heck, if he'd keep kissing her like that, she'd even watch his old movies with him and do her best to keep up with the plot. She could research those people he mentioned, too! So he'd be able to talk about them without feeling embarrassed or anything.

Trace had not thought nearly that far ahead, but he supposed he ought to make an honest woman out of Aggie or suffer the consequences. He blushed and chuckled, actually chuckled as he considered the question. "Well, I guess it could," he said. "Do you want to be my girlfriend?"
It might be fun to date, even if there was nowhere really to go on Barren Pines campus. And it might put to rest all those bizarre rumors that he and Mason were doing each other in the butt every Saturday. Or make them worse.
He tried not to think about this as he put an arm gently around her shoulder. "Sure," he said, smiling tentatively at her, testing the waters, "We can be dating."

There'd been a brief moment of terror when he'd chuckled, but it (probably) wasn't directed at her as much as with her, since he actually agreed to go out.
And Aggie was on Cloud Nine. "Thank you! Thank you!" Each 'thank you' was followed by a very enthusiastic kiss on the mouth and a beaming smile as she settled in against his side. She was dating. She was someone's girlfriend. She was Trace's girlfriend.
