Orpheus nodded his head then watched him get into the water, he watched him a moment before checking on the others. He saw the glances Yeesha's way deciding that since he didn't know better it should be fine but... He picked up a couple of floating rings and tossed them into the water to get the sharks attention off of the alligator, just in case. Best to be safe then sorry, "The rings are for if you get tired. Just grab hold of one of them." He said, loud enough for those present to hear.

He turned his head to look at Rune and nodded, "Sounds good. And nope not late at all since everyone is jsut getting used to the place and the classes. Besides Im rather lax on the whole getting hear on time thing." Mostly cause he was sure that he would be late at least once so... yeah.

He turned to look at Ligeia, "You watch the others ok? Best that you know the mechanics of swimming even if you don't like water. Accidents do happen and it might be something your going to have to at one point or another learn." He called over to the owl boy. He got a 'Scree' response.

Jewel watched the shark and alligator children for a few seconds, then mustered her courage and waved, grinning. "Hi, Yeesha. Hi Jekel." Maybe it would be okay. Afterall, they all liked water, right? Trotting to the edge of the pool, she tugged off her shirt, shorts and socks, revealing a plain black child's suit. Her Mom had been rather surprised she didn't want the rainbow or pink ones, but she liked the simple color. "Ligeia's not going to swim?" She glanced back at her owl friend. "Not even to stick your feet in?"

Jenner and Indigo were running a bit late, but this was no surprise. The red-headed woman had eventually gotten tired of her child's creeping pace, picked her up, and placed her firmly on her shoulders before jogging at a fair clip down the hall.

This had elicited a long shrill cry of, "Wheeeeeee!" that echoed up and down the breezeway, startling technicians and bringing a smile to Jenner's face. It was fun enough that Jenner ran flat past the right classroom door, drawing a louder shriek of glee from Indigo. (The airplane noises Jenner made with her mouth only added to the fun--and noise commotion.) At last, though, the woman jogged to a stop outside the door and lifted her baby off her shoulders.

"Aaaaand now we're coming in for a landing, vrooooo!" she said, "flying" Indigo down to the ground, amongst the child's giggling. "Whoa up, gotta stop the plane--erk! We're here!" Jenner let go of her daughter with one last ruffle of Indigo's teal hair; then, she looked up at the door. "Orpheus Solon, eh. Only Orpheus I know ain't so well-favored by fate--ah well. C'mon, Indi."

As Jenner opened the door, her kid caught an abrupt case of the Shy, clinging to her mother's leg with only her long antennae sticking out on either side of Jenner's body. The door clicked shut behind them, and the woman was left looking a little bemused by her child's disappearing act. She looked over her shoulder, then chuckled and crouched down. "C'mon, sweetie, it's only for a little while--they're not gonna eatcha."

Indigo's lower lip trembled, presaging a tantrum. "Don' wanna go," she mumbled, looking down.

Jenner heaved a long sigh, looking back at the little collection of kids and guardians by the water. "Aww, Indi. They're swimming--you like swimming, don't you?" she said, wheedling. "The water looks awfully nice..."

"Swimming?" Just like that, Indigo perked right back up. Her eyes tracked toward the other kids, antennae fairly vibrating with glee. She latched on to Jenner in an abrupt hug, before taking off for the pool with a "bye mommy!" trailing her. It didn't take that long for Indigo to shed the sarong she wore in lieu of a shirt and pants; then she was wading into the water, giggling as it made ripples around all her sets of ankles.

It took Jenner a moment to collect her thoughts. "Huh. That really did work," she said at length, standing and brushing off the knees of her jeans. Even though Indigo wasn't looking her way, she offered her child a wave along with a, "Bye, sweetie!" before heading back out the door.

Orpheus was setting up for the next class that he was having for the kids. This one was less just for fun and more for them integrate their special abilities. Hidden through out the classroom were a half dozen little treasures. One was in the branches of one of the trees, one was on the ground hidden among the leaves, and the rest in various other places.

A child with a good sense of smell maybe be able to find one among the leaves, one with good eye sight may see one that is hidden up high, one with wings may be able to fly up to one that was tied in the branches of the trees, and so on and so forth.

When everything was set up he headed out to wait in front of the classroom, closing the door after himself so that he could await the students that were going to come this time around.

(( Nobody can go in the classroom yet instead gathering in the hall until there are a few of them. The 'treasures' are something that I am working on now drawing and coloring. Various odds and ends for the kids to find and keep. ))
