Kat smiled, "It's nice to meet you Olly." she glanced back at the kids and such "How'd you like to go play with the other kids? Or you could help me set up the B's."
Jekel glanced around, giving a tiny nod. "I think thats a gator..." he paused, pointing up at the chalkboard. The tiny doodle was hard to tell... afterall it was just a doodle. But it made for some conversation.

"Uh..?" Her head turned quickly to where he was pointing, eyes widening as she gave a happy cry, one hand raising to point at the drawing. "ITHAT A ALLY-GATOR?!"
She was screeching at the only adult in the room, of course, inturupting her from whatever she was doing.

Kat blinked in suprise, before nodding "Yep. Alligator! Alligator starts with the letter A, see?" she pointed to the letter on the board. "Hm.. How bout we get started with our lesson..." She nodded to herself. "Okay, kids! gather around." She then glanced to olly "And today Olly's going to be my special little helper!"
Jekel blinked, A? What was this "A" she spoke of?

"Right, ally-gator." She nodded, realizing that the teacher was calling them to her and starting forward, giving Jekel's tail a little tug to urge him on. "Common."

Oliver blushed softly and crawled out of his hiding place to huddle next to the teacher. He hardly had the chance to ask what a 'B' was when she heard him saying something about being her 'helper', then addressed the other kids. He looked up in surprise, then hid behind her a little as the children gathered up at the front. "How do I help?" he asked in a whisper, tugging gently at her apron.

Ligeia crawled over closer to the teacher as they were told to gather around and he looked at each of the others in turn before he wrapped his wings around himself and looked up at the board. He tilted his head to the side taking in the markings on the board, the letter 'A' was part of that alphabet song that his father sung to him but seeing it standing there by itself, unaccompanied by the rest of its letter friends was different.
"Scree." He murmured... no wait that didn't sound anything like 'A'. Let's try this again, "Screea! Aaaah... A." He seemed quite pround of himself for being able to mimic the sound that created 'a'. Then he went back to looking at the pictures that were with the 'A' on the board.

Kat smiled at the boy, giving him an easy task as she handed him a sheet of papers. "Here.. Pass these out while I put B and C on the board."
"Okay... First we have an A! A is the first letter of the alphabit. Has anyone heard of the alphabit before?" Kat smiled when afew hands were raised. "Good! Theres several things that start with the letter A. Like Air, we all breath air.. and dragons fly through the air! And our Yeesha here is an Aligator! Who else knows some things that start with A?" She paused to let the children answere, nodding and praising them when they got one, and correcting them when they were wrong.
"Now.. First we do a line... / Then another line and then a line across! A" She paused to let the kids take in this information "When you go home today I want you to practice what you learn today. It's okay if you forget, Just ask your mother or father to help you!"
With that done she went onto the next. "Okay this is B, the second letter...Things that start with B such as back. We all have backs! And brass and bronze start with B too. Brass and bronze are not only colors, but they're also types of dragons! Does anyone know any other things that start with B?" she repeated what she'd done with the letter A then continued.
"First is a line | then another line P and then.. last one! B" she smiled to the kids, noting a few lost looks amongst them. "Remember it's okay if you don't get this right away!"
"And next is C. C's only one line! You just curve it like this.." she demonstrated quickly, then turned back ot them. "We have three kids in here that have DNA that starts with a C. Olly, my good little helper is a Camel. Theres a cheetah, and a cameleon too! My names a bit tricky. Even though it sounds like it's a C, it's actually a K. But we'll go over that later. But also, the normal word Cat does start with a C!" she laughed a bit, repeating once again the question to the class "Does anyone know other words that start with C?"

Ligeia looked down at the sheet that he was given to color then listened to the class as they called out answers to the different questions that she asked. He had no compulsion to answer them quite yet. Not until she got to 'C' anyways.
Wait! Wait he knew this one! He knew EXACTLY what started with 'C' and not only what started with 'C' but it was in fact the MOST important C-Word ever if his father was one to believe about it. Which he was of course since he was his father!
"Screee!" He said, flapping his wings excitedly. Then he blinked a couple times, what was it again, "C..." He paused to think, "Coffeeeee!" The end of it drew out into a sort of bird sound. The word though was that of the magic 'grown ups only' liquid that his father carried around with him everywhere he went. There was nothing more important in the mornings when he got to his age Orpheus had told him.

Yeesha BEAMED as the teacher mentioned that she was an alligator and was even MORE pleased to know that the letter A started it, and was also the first letter in the alphibet.
That meant she was the best!
She tugged Jekel's tail slightly to get his attention, she wanted to let him know this vital information, but Olly handing her a sheet of paper caused her to forget all about this.
ANOTHER thing she loved! Colouring! Today was definatly looking to be a good one. She let go of Jekel's tail and tottered over to a tabel, looking over it for anything, anything she might be able to use, finding a green marker. Now for a place to sit...
...okay, maybe not such a good day. All the little chairs had tiny holes in them, yeah, but her tail was too big! Too long! With a look of worry she hurried over to the teacher, clutching her blankie tighter than before.
"I can't thit!"
What was she to do?!

"'Kay!" Oliver happily complied, and started passing out papers, hardly scared or shy of anyone now that he was focused on the job at hand. Once he had managed to hand a sheet to each of the other kids, he returned the leftovers and took one for himself, looking at the pictures in amusement. He loved to color! Perhaps this class stuff wouldn't be so bad after all, he thought, glancing over at the other kids. He still had a shy twinge, but he swallowed it down, still getting over the accomplished feeling of having helped the teacher. He looked up to soak in the information the purple-haired woman was giving.
He smiled, pleased to hear his species. He knew that well, because his mother had told him. But, hmmmm... what else C? Cat started with C, his teacher had said. He frowned softly, tricked. 'C' didn't sound like what 'cat' started with. He shut one eye in concentration. "How 'bout candy??" he called out shortly after Ligeia, smirking. He was fairly sure he was correct.

BAM went the door.
In hurried Axel, who was surprisingly in a suit- what an odd sight. He was straightening his tie when he stopped to look back, "C'mon kiddo, we're late!" Nero followed along behind him, blinking once or twice, tail swishing slowly. His adoptive father's hair was refusing to behave even as he tried to slick it back, his tie was done wrong, and he was only wearing one shoe. The scorpion boy was holding the other. "Alright, I gotta go to work now, be good." And like that, the man was out the door. "Bu-..." The little one frowned, and then set down his dad's shoe. Maybe he'd come back for it? He turned back towards the classroom and was embarassed to find he was very, very late. He lifted a hand to give a timid smile before lugging his tail and extra appendages to a seat and sitting in it, tail laying out across his lap. "U-umn... H-hewwo." He offered to everyone, still seeming somewhat nervous. It wasn't that he was shy- he was actually quite outgoing. It was the little fact that he was naturally very jittery, jumpy, and timid. He stuck and finger into his mouth and sucked at it, looking towards the teacher uncertainly.

Jekel blinked at his paper, giving a frown. He didn't know many words that started with those letters. So he just stayed silent, frowning some as he sat there. Then, Yeesha got up. He blinked as she left, getting up to follow her curiously. "Aa. Yes, coffee starts with C." she wrote it on the board, turning back when Olly spoke giving a nod "Yep! Candy also starts with C."
She paused as another entered the room. "Oh, come on in!" kat smiled, grabbing a sheet to hold out to the boy. "we were just going over the letters A, B, and C."
"Here!" Jekel interupted before the teacher could respond ot yeesha's angsty problem. He turned his own seat sideways, setting himself down on it. "See. Like this!" he gave a proud grin, showing off his lovely rows of canines.

The little guy took the paper he was handed and regarded it thoughtfully, "A, B, C?" He questioned softly. What were letters? Oh well... He set down the paper infront of him and lowered his claw-hands into his lap, ontop of his tail, and watched all of the other kids curiously.. Normally he would have joined in, but he was actually rather shy when in a room with an adult.
"Yew having trouble sittin?" He asked the familiar alligator girl quietly, but didn't really expect an answer. He was really focused on trying to figure out what the heck he was supposed to be doing with this sheet of paper. He stretched out his short legs infront of him, stinger-tip tapping against the bottom of the table idly.

Anataela bounced up and down excitedly, waving her chubby little arm in the air - which had now returned to it's natural green colour. She didn't wait to be picked before shouting out a word she knew that started with an A. " I'm a A word ! " She grinned ahppily, very proud of herself.
She then took a colouring sheet, and looked at it very closely ... It was very interesting ...
