Alice followed as close to Tempo as she could. She didn't feel safe around Aidan, he made her put up her guard to the full extent. He brought back too many memories of what happened between her and Dhiren, more so then Tempo. She dully noted the mean looking red head that seemed to be doing very much the same thing as she was. Being close back up. Alice shifted her gaze to the ground, feeling like she was intruding.
The female Somali was quiet for once, disliking the feeling in her gut but sliding easily under the fence... wishing that she would have had someone to kiss her goodbye. Ah well, sometimes the world doesn't work that way.
Alice took a step back and gave a guarded smile to Ji, Tempo and the others before searching for a way in, and all the positions of the outside guard dogs.
She could be solo, she had proven that much as long as she stayed close enough to the others to be heard.
...
Ishtar found a way in, a smile formed on his lips as he climbed the tree standing tall next to the fence and dropped silently to the ground on the other side. The other people could find a way in he figured as he searched for a entrance into the building. It wasn't that hard to find, one of those high tech swishy things that opened to any movement outside, the lights were off behind it, but the moment Ishtar went up to expect it the thing wished open and he was hit full force with that alcohol smell only sterile things gave off. He felt like he had walked into a hand sanitizer bottle, and had to blink his sensitive eyes against the harsh chemicals before finding out where he was.
Dogs.
what looked like thousands
of
Dogs.
Ishtar had found the kennel, immediately he puffed up to twice his size and skittered into the dark shadows of the room, not that it helped, his coloring was far too light. It would be difficult to do much of anything without waking the huge beats.
s**t
...
Aidan shrugged and looked over at Mir, grinning and pulling her close to him. "common lets show em what we got." The red head struggled with getting under the fence, mostly having a issue with his size rather then weight. But when he was through you could tell he was ready for a fight, a slight gleam lit in the toms eyes. It would be fun.
...
The female had followed after Ri, surprised by his sudden inutative to take charge, usually it was her leading him. She stayed quiet when they had stumbled upon Dracal, not really trusting the male for him alerting the dogs, but before she could say anything Ri took charge AGAIN. Mei studied his profile, kinda blinking in surprise, not by the sudden dominance shown by Ri, for he was attached to the kittens... even if he wouldn't admit it to himself, but the way she took it. It was.... sexy? Mei bit hard on her lip to keep from laughing at the thought, and stood at Ri's side, her arm around his waist and staying a bit back... if he didn't want her up front and personal with a possible enemy she could understand, and respect his decision. "Who are you anyway?" she growled, trying to keep the suspicion out of her voice, if he was an enemy she and Ri had to stop him now... before he got to the others. They had dogs on their side, why couldn't they have a creepy cat out in the middle of the forest warning them of invasion?

Mir trotted over to Ara and Morph, wrapping them both in a hug. “Be safe, both of you.” She smiled briefly at them, her focus overridden in this brief moment of tenderness. Then she turned and trotted back to her leader. Moving back to the shirtless cat she exhaled, pulling her mind back into focus. She knew she had to be on the top of her game to make it safely through this unknown area; keep her wits and her blade about her. When she got to him, Aidan turned to meet her, pulling her close. She met his grin with a fierce one of her own, the prospect of a good fight making her eyes gleam brightly. She was truly of two minds now when she fought; a cooler calculating side that analyzed and struck at opportunities displayed in her handling of the balisong knife tucked safely in her shirt, and a much wilder side, one that struck hard and fast, that bit and clawed, mirrored in the spiked guards she was so anxiously awaiting from Anbu. “Bring it.” She murmured back at Aidan, her eyes flashing and smile wide. She waited as he crawled his was under the fence, crouching low behind him. Shimmying her way under the fence a great deal easier than her leader had she moved to his side again, eyes delving into the darkness. As serious a reason they all had for coming out here, a part of Mir couldn’t deny that this would be fun.

JiYong ignored all the other cats, keeping his eye on the fence and the building. He didn't want to seem rude or anything, but...he was in mission mode. Fatherly mission mode, and that was four times as scary. Seeing the hole in the fence, Jiyong quickly ducked down and wriggled underneath the chainlink behind Tempo, keeping low to the ground as he crept along the fence, chewing on his lip. Pausing and glancing back to make sure the others were getting underneath without trouble, he swallowed and looked up, ears twitching.
"We could follow the barking," he whispered, glancing over at Tempo. "Don't want to deal with dogs but there's got to be a way for the sound to be making it's way out here, or a way for the dogs to get inside." Touching his tail to Tempo's bushy one, he bit his lip and looked back at the others. Maybe Alice had an idea, or...god he didn't know.

Standing and staying close to where JiYong was, he shook his head slightly at the man's words--going towards loose dogs when they weren't sure how many there were and how big they were... "We cant risk it," dogs could rip cats apart in seconds. Especially big ones.
"Alice, get back here," Tempo demanded, then froze--only a few cats had made it under the fence, and here came the dogs.
There were four of them--large, had to be German Shepards or mixes of the breed. And to boot--they looked beyond pissed off, mouth foaming from sprinting towards the cats and were obviously drugged or had been drugged before. The heavy choke chains around their necks jangled and crashed as they loped to them, two lunging for the fence to snarl and claw towards the cats that weren't yet inside, while the other two made b-lines for the cats that were on the right ********--" He growled, pulling the chain whip from his arm and pushing JiYong back automatically towards the fence. Wrapping the chain around his hands, he lifted it up to catch the mutt's mouth with said chain, being shoved backwards, harshly, into JiYong and anyone who happened to be there.

Alice smirked pulling out a knife from her guarder and throwing it easily into the dog that was coming at her. What she didn't expect was the mutt to keep running with the blade sticking out of its chest. She squeaked, jumping back from the animal and trying to find her center. Messing up now would only result in sloppiness later. Alice ended up allowing herself to fall backward, which confused the canine, making him falter for a brief moment, just long enough for her to slit his underbelly to his neck. Which resulted in her covered in blood and a dead dog laying on top of her.
And now she was stuck, and the other dogs were pissed at loosing one of their numbers. She gave up struggling under the body but rather used it as a shield as the others went after the remaining. No problem, use a stinky corpse as a shield, be all mushy with blood. NO big deal. Yeah, not so much, Alice was freaking out inside, but did nothing but try to keep alive long enough to get into the building.
...
Aidan pulled out three of the needles in his wrist band, making a weird noise at the dog that was attacking Tempo and drawing him away... toward him. In three flashes the poisoned needles were out of his hands and into various pressure points on the dog, making him fall to the ground twitching. "He isn't dead, these are formulated for cats not dogs, but it should keep him down for a bit." Then Aidan basically skipped away, and to Alice who lay under the corpse of one of the burley beasts. "need help princess?" "not from you." she growled shoving at the dog again only to get her wrist clasped and heaved out from under the body. "p***k." she mumbled before darting off after the next lousy mutt. Belly equaled a weakness, but she couldn't attack it without being hurt... so the neck it was. A grim smile formed on her lips as she found her next victim.
Aidan rolled his eyes and found Mir in the fight, putting his back to hers and watching one of the largest dogs wearily. If this was just the agents he didn't want to meet what was inside to rule the place.

As the dogs came into view Mir drew out her knife, flicking it open with a grin. “Here doggie.~” She murmured to no one in particular. Darting forward as the dogs charged, she singled out a canine that was on the right edge of the pack, nearer to the white building. Sprinting around the dogs she dodged to the side as it snapped at her, cutting upwards into its neck. Blood flecked everywhere and she moved forward as it moved past her, coming around to bite at her again. Leaning to the right as it moved towards her she broke to the left at the last moment, cutting its neck on the other side and downing the frothing beast. Turning, she saw Aidan incapacitate a dog and then move forward to help Alice. Weaving through the various dogs and freecollars she made her way to the drugged dog. It growled vaguely at her as she approached it, pushing its head aside and cutting its throat as it lay twitching. Then Aidan was at her back and she followed his gaze to one of the larger dogs. She snorted a little, looking over her shoulder at him. “Together then?” She asked, looking back at the salivating monstrosity. Glancing around her briefly she shook her head slightly. “Quite the welcoming party. The noise is sure to attract unwanted attention.” She commented mildly to her leader.

Ara walked with them to the fence, holding Morphs hand a little nervous about the fight but she had learned alot in the weeks since joining the university. She took a deep breath and crawled under the fence and got up to see everyone fighting the dogs. She gripped her staff and looked at Morph as he wiggled through. She smiled and kissed him with a smile. "Be safe baby i cant have kits with out you." she said. She looked at the dogs and tried not to think about how they almost looked like badgers. She shook it off and ran at a dog who was coming up behind someone. She hadn't caught anyone's names so she couldn't call out to them. She hit the dog under the head and then followed it up with a whack to the side of the head. The dog turned on her and growled as she watched the thing come at her. She got lower then the dog and as it charged at her she shoved the end of her staff into the dogs eye. It went in and the dog yelped and tried to get away. She smirked a little as it screamed and she pushed it in further and jumped up and slammed the staff down into the dogs head. It yelped and then died. She had to pull it a few times before it came out of the dogs skull and as she turned she had to hold up the staff to block off another dog attacking her. She hissed as she held the staff in the dogs mouth with both hands keeping it back. It tried to bite through it but Ara leaned forward really fast and bit onto the dogs nose. She dropped the staff and held onto the nose as she flipped up onto the dogs face and scratched and bit it all over. She clawed at its nose as she held on with her back claws in its face as she dog ran around going crazy trying to get the cat off its face.

Oh, maybe he should be paying closer attention. One minute he was walking and talking with Tempo, the next he was slammed up against the fence behind Tempo with a giant ********' dog in his face. Lovely. Ducking out from underneath the forest cat, JiYong hissed and started to wind up a punch - when Aidan took care of the dog. Oh.
"Thanks," he called, grabbing Tempo's hand and pulling him up. "We need to hurry, there'll be more," he murmured. Watching the last of the dogs run around, Ara clinging to it's...face, he couldn't help the smile as he ran over and slammed his fist into the dog's side. A crunch of ribs from the brass knuckles, and the dog faltered enough that JiYong managed to reach up, get a good hold of it's jowls, and snap his neck. Straightening, he looked over to the toyger and held out a hand. "Alright?" Seems no one had really gotten hurt; good. That's all they needed, someone getting injured before they could even get into the place.

That all happened...very quickly. It seemed like a matter of minutes after the first attack all the dogs were gone--it was the crunch that made him wince though. Guh, JiYong's fighting technique was affective but a little disturbing at times...but then again, one of the dog's organs were lying out all over the yard.
Releasing a breath, he wrapped the chain around his arm again and made sure everyone was gathered up again. At least the team that they had was amazing--four dogs in a matter of minutes was quite nice. But he had to make sure JiYong and Alice were okay...
Looking to the blonde, he reached up to grab the man's arm, pulling him close and eyeing Alice. Bloody, but didn't seem too worse for wear.
"..Thank you, Aidan," for getting the dog that was specifically coming after them, even though it seems like the dog was still twitching, "Lets find a way in," and with that, Tempo let JiYong go and rushed over towards the side of the building. Vents, holes, pipes...anything? Even a freakin' window? There was a set of doors not too far off, but light spilled out through them so he figured that wasn't safe.
Grunting, the forest cat made his way along the side of the building, until he found a ground-level window. It lead to the basement...but it was a way in. "Here," he crouched down to pry the unlocked window open, the hinges squealing and the glass rattling...but it was open, and stuck open, so they could get inside. Tempo heard more dogs in the distance--but they didn't seem to be coming closer. Looking up to the group, he bit his lip for a moment, then motioned for them to come closer, "We stay together inside--I dont know what this place is," for all they knew it could just be a freakin' grooming center. Whoever put guard dogs in front of a grooming center, he didn't know, but who knew.
Dropping down onto his side, he slid inside, perching on the windowsill to allow his eyes to adjust to the darkness. Hopping up onto one of the crates, he took in a slow breath--and flinches. Shaking his head, the forest cat looked around to examine the area fully...crates. A ton of crates. Stacked up from floor to ceiling... And boxes near the ground. Where was a door? Looking around the area, he stepped to the side so that Ji and the other cats could get inside, spotting a flood of light where some stairs were. That's their way in...they just had to remember the way out.

Stalking through the darkened forest, a young bobtail made her way carefully over the uneven terrain. Demi hadn't ventured out away from the city much at all, and was uncomfortable with all the bumps and dips that one tended to encounter in the wilderness. Since her mentor hadn't shown up for training earlier in the day, however, the young girl had been searching for her, tracking the singapura's scent all over town it seemed, until finally it led her through here. As she had followed it, the bobtail had grown more and more agitated, for the messages left behind in Mir-sensei's, as well as those left in the scent trails of several other cats who also seemed to have come this way, were intense and nervous. Demi wondered what was going on, and worried that her precious teacher was safe.
As she made her way along, the small cat was becoming aware that not only had her mentor passed this way, but so had several other cats that she had met. She could pick out the scents of Alice, Tempo, Morph, Heechul, and a few other vaguely familiar ones, mingling with and nearby that of Mir-sensei's. All of them carried the same urgent messages.
With her fur bristling by this point, Demi pressed on determinedly; there were a lot of cats, but maybe she'd be able to help out somehow. Though she didn't know what was happening, she knew that cats who she had grown fond of were unsettled by it, and could maybe be in danger of it. That was about the time her nose gave a twitch and she paused. There was another scent she recognized here, but one who hadn't been traveling with the others. Casting a quick glance around her to make note of where she was, the bobtail turned and headed toward the Somali tom she had met a few times. He was rude, and a little intimidating, but if she was heading into danger, into a danger where Alice was, she figured dragging this grumpy tom along would be for the best. After all, males were born to fight, weren't they? Curled up by a slow-running stream, the Somali's fiery fur rose and fell slightly with his breathing. Though it was unusual for him to venture into the forest, the tom had been running out of places to stay recently, and he had been deliberately avoiding the university. As he dozed though, his peace was being disturbed; a persistent rustling and crunching was gradually growing louder. Swiveling an ear around to better keep track of the noise, the orange-furred cat finally lifted his head and fixed glowing amber eyes on the figure making her way through the brush.
He recognized her scent of course, but still wasn't thrilled about seeing the bouncy bobtail. He pushed himself into a seated position and faced the younger girl as she stepped out to him; the sight of her reminding him of the woman he still hadn't gone back to yet. As he took in her fluffed appearance though, and the nervous, but determined glint in the girl's bronze-colored eyes, his mood shifted slightly. "...Are you alright?" He growled, a little hesitant at first.
At once, Demi had crossed the distance and grabbed Dhiren's wrist, tugging him, urging him to get up and go with her. "Oi. I'm fine, of course!" She myewed, a little impatiently what with having to stumble over this cursed uneven ground and then finding this tom laying about, "I don't think Mir-sensei is though... I was following her scent a little ways back there. It seems like she's really freaked out over something, and not just her, but a lot of cats are gathering! Alice is with them too. I think we should check it out; something bad is probably happening!"
Dhiren blinked at the rapid-fire explanation, and his fur bristled at hearing Alice's name brought up. If something was threatening the cats of Ikebukuro, and Alice had somehow gotten herself in trouble, then what kind of mate would he be to just wander around and ignore it? A mental jab reminded the self-righteous tom that the status 'mate' might not exactly be applicable to their relationship at this point, but he stubbornly pushed it to the back of his mind and got to his feet.
Demi blinked up at the Somali for a few moments before nodding and giving his arm another light tug before letting him go and bounding back into the undergrowth she came from. "Come on, it's back this way!" She called back, paying close attention to the terrain under-paw as she began her ascent to the trail she had been following previously. Dhiren had no problem following after her.The two cats made their way back to where Demi had left off, tracking Mir's scent, and followed it to where the trees thinned and the facility came into view. It was obvious that a lot of cats had come by this way, but as the two pairs of eyes looked out, only a couple could be seen. Taking the lead again, the Bobtail picked her way carefully towards the two, keeping herself low as the sense of danger increased intensely. The young girl was suddenly grateful for her choice of attire for the day; tight black shorts that hugged her body and a white tank concealed by a black, zip-up sweater with sleeves attached to the shoulder by short strips of black belt. Dhiren followed after the girl, but only after removing his jacket and tossing it into the bushes. He could detect blood somewhere up ahead, and should it come down to a fight, moving would be easier without the excess cloth. The two of them approached the cats who had been left to keep watch for back-up, and as they neared, Dhiren let his voice out in a low, quiet hiss. "What's going on here?"Piping up just after him, Demi also kept her voice hushed, "I followed Mir-sensei's scent here... is she alright?" Neither the bobtail, nor the Somali recognized these cats, but they were part of the group that included those who they had followed, so it was worth a shot.

Sticking close to the other two males she knew, Alice found herself being one of the first cats in the building. When her eyes adjusted she felt as though she had walked into a horror movie. Crates, large small… all over the place. Had the humans stuffed the kittens into these cold mesh cages? Brought them here to this very spot where the chemical sanitizer seemed to reach a all time high and make her nose burn?
Alice sighed and jumped from a large crate they had all been standing on to a lower one below. The staircase made her nervous, with its ever-persistent light beckoning in the gloom… was someone waiting for them right outside that door? Remembering her run in with the dogs she looked up at tempo, not quite meeting his gaze. “Into the rabbit hole?”
…
Ishtar scampered as quickly as he could to the darkest corner of the room, where it seemed the dogs were older and in line to be put to sleep, but it was already too late. As sure as if the cat had set an alarm off the dogs started barking, the deep menacing barks that came from dogs that were bred to be far too large for any use other then tearing people, and each other apart.
A burly guard came bounding in the door, and the only chance Ishtar had to stay hidden was to dart into one of the cages. He made his way into the darkest corner, cowering from the light that entered each pin.
A slow steady breathing made the hairs on the back of his neck stand on point, as he turned and came eye to eye with a giant shaggy black dog. “s-sorry?” he mumbled before darting to the other side of the cage, searching for the way he had found into it.
…
Aidan gestured into the dark room for Mir to go first, a cocky smile flitting on his face. “Ladies first, unless you are the man in your relationship?” He winked and grinned running a hand through his hair.
He wasn’t scared of what was in there… if it were bad the others would be screaming or fighting, but the smell made him want to sneeze. Stupid humans can’t just accept the world can they? Even have to change its smell.
…
… he ran. The cat ran from her simple question of who he was. She looked down bitterly and wrapped her arms around Ri again. Then two more showed up. How many more people would they have to deal with? Have to question? That they would have to check out before letting their friends possibly get hurt?
Then they mentioned Alice. Mei nearly sighed with relief, but allowed Ri to take the lead, musn’t scare off the other recruits… again.

Wriggling inside of the window after Tempo and helping some others through, JiYong moved over to hop down onto a lower crate. God so many...had they held his babies? Tail fluffing and ears flattening at the thought. Glancing around, he looked at the stairs before moving closer, peeking up them into the bright light. He didn't see movement...
"We're all mad here," he murmured, turning to look at Alice with a small smile. Wrapping his tail around one of Tempo's wrists with a swallow, he hopped up onto the first stair and peered up. Still nothing, and he couldn't smell anything over the medicinal smell. "No time like now," he whispered before he was hopping up the stairs quietly and slowly, keeping his eyes trained on the door and waiting for someone or something to move by it.

Watching the cat bolt away, SeungRi frowned and turned to make his way back towards the facility--when he heard another voice. A woman, one he hadn't heard before. Now facing Mei, he blinked, looking back towards the two felines that approached, his ears swiveling this way and that.
"Mir?" He remembered the woman--ah, yes, she had been with the rest of the group, hadn't he? "Mir's fine," for now. Eyeing the male, his ears flattened a bit, feeling slightly uncomfortable with the two he'd never met before.
"They're on a rescue--Mir went with them to help get Tempo and JiYong's babies back," and he wanted to get over there and help, "If you two wanna' join then come with us, but we're already late." Rude of him, yes, but he wanted to get in there and deal with this as soon as possible...get their babies back and get home. He had a horrible feeling in the pit of his stomach that something was going to go wrong.
--- --- ---
Tempo had a feeling these weren't for cats...or animals at all...they smelled too medicated for that. Eyeing the writing on the boxes, which seemed to be in a different language, he jerked his arm a bit when he felt JiYong's tail wrap around it, then brought himself to calm down a bit...being too jumpy was going to get him in trouble.
Hearing JiYong begin up the stairs, he frowned, then made his way up after him, glancing back towards Morph and Ara, "Stay here--if something goes wrong, get to us as soon as possible," this was their only way out...if it got taken away, lord knows what would happen.
Releasing a quiet breath, Tempo made his way up a few more stairs, in front of Jiyong to peek under the door...seeing shadows of people walking by, talking in a tongue he'd only heard once or twice...it was hard to understand, but that didn't matter. Bristling slightly when someone bumped against the door, he then heard laughter and a few other voices...well, at least the humans seemed content with whatever they were doing. But now...the scent of blood and distress were wafting from underneath the door, making his stomach churn and his body to tense up.
Tempo lightly nudged the door with his shoulder, which thankfully pushed the door open just slightly--a sliver, enough to make a bit more light to rush through. Peeking through the crack, he waited under he didn't hear footsteps anymore...then headed out of the basement and onto the linoleum floor. In front of them was what seemed to be like a clinic...metal tables with sinks and smaller tables holding syringes, scalpels, and other such instruments were easily seen, along with empty cages and doors leading into separate rooms. To the left was a long hallway, leading to a pitch black room from what he could see of the humans going in there, to the right was another hallway, lined with doors and small windows. They wouldn't be able to see into them, but one was lightly lit while the others were black as well.
Pausing for another moment, he made his way down the hall towards the lit room, keeping close to the wall as the chain around his arm rattled slightly. Passing the first black door, he heard whimpering and barking, which made him bristle once more and pause beside the door, clenching his jaw when the uproar of barking began. s**t. Rushing to the lit room, he pushed it open, glad to see that it was void of humans--instead, stacked from floor to ceiling with tiny cages...and cats.
--- --- ---
The dog that Ishtar had crawled into the cage with blinked and looked up, gray in the face but still looking quite alert.
The dog bared its large teeth at the feline--before hearing humans yelling for others. Looking up, he frowned, then shifted slowly to lie in front of Ishtar, blocking him from the human's sight. One managed to kick his cage on accident, sending a wicked snarl their way.
A few moments passed and dogs were still barking, struggling and scratching to get out of their cages, all pointed towards the inner workings of the facility. Huffing, the older dog looked down to the cat and narrowed his eyes a bit, "What're you doing here, cat? Did you manage to escape?" He asked, voice rumbling with obvious distress and anger--but not at the cat, far from it.
"This isn't a good place to stay if you escaped...and it's even worse if you're just wandering around. They'll catch you and kill you," as to why he was talking to a cat, well...who knew. But the large black dog didn't want to see another cat torn up in front of him...far from it, actually.
