biggrin i didn't want to get too deep into the mythology stuff because i thought it would be boring. YAY! i knew all of that stuff (although the names are different
sweatdrop ) we call the wolf Fenrir, the snake is The Midgard Serpent (midgard obviously being our world and the being called that because it was so vast it circled the world and bit it's own tail *smug*) oh, one of my favourite parts is the bit about Yggdrasil, oh and Huginn and Muninn, thought and mind. i love that ^^
I love Yggdrasil too. Ahhh. *thinks about odin sphere* It's one of my favorite games on playstation2, and my favorite character represents Yggdrasil~ heart Oh yes, Odin's crows yes? (it's crow right? It's called kråke in norwegian. sweatdrop ).
I also enjoy the tale about Balders death.. In my choir we sang songs to a project called ''tors hammer'' (the hammer of Tor, odin's son 3nodding ) and the one dedicated to Balders death was really beautiful. oh yeah! the mistletoe wand right? Loki deserved what he got really, but i always think it's a little unfair. i mean, it is what he's a god of so...
anyway, we have Thor and Baldor instead, i wonder why it gets so lost in translation :s that wouldn't be the story where Tor has to dress up as a woman to get Mjolinir back? it's probably the one we most hear of over here. but you've reminded me how great the Loki stories are, like Red Gold, and the one where he has to stop the giant building the wall around Asgard (correct me on any spelling errors by the way ._.; ) and Sleipnir and all... sorry i think i'm ranting a bit here
sweatdrop what can i say, i'm a bit of a mythology geek.
oh, and i'm pretty sure it's ravens actually, but then that could be a bad translation or something
