"I use to do a kiss someone routine as a little gag. Last time it happened it went wrong. That's what happened that night... that's what happened in the dream."
He sighed, "It went wrong again, that's what I really wanted to see you know..." He looked at her, "It's a curse."
"With that curse comes a death." He wrinkled his nose, he seemed to really believe it. "Unfortunately I had to use Remi to check it but instead of Elke I was going to have him find you, I figured by that time I could stop him."
He sighed, "He got Elke instead and got hit with a book twice, and now wont talk to me."

"How is harmless little gag a curse?" lifting her head she watched him fully now, her fingers flexing and unflexing from around the edge of the pillow. she wasn't expecting him to believe her words of course, but maybe she could at least get him to explain it well enough so that she could understand why he believed it so much.
"In the case with Remi, you should have told him at least, but just because it went wrong doesn't mean it was cursed. I mean, Remi and I barely know each other, so it's possible he couldn't even remember what I looked like. Or maybe, some how, he confused Elke with myself. It can happen. You have to keep in mind the different personalities of those you work with when you're putting on a show."
Then she paused, an eyebrow raised as something finally sunk in. "Why were you going to have Remi kiss me anyway?"

He paused, "Yeah... it happened on stage too and someone died last year because of it."
He paused looking at her, "Maybe your tan skin iunno..." He shook his head, "Kid has problems with names. He thinks Frankie's name is Jenna or something like that." He wrinkled his nose.
"Why...." He paused and swallowed. "'cause I figured if it accidentally went that far, you'd understand I was trying to snap him out of it and it was just a test..." He looked at the wall across from him, "And you were the only name that came to mind when we were working..."
He didn't bother to look at her, "If you're mad at me for it, I don't blame you." He had by now pulled out the crystal he always kept in his sleeve. "this keeps up I oughta just give up and stick to hand puppets. Maybe they won't kill anyone."

"Perhaps I should be, but I'm not." Such was the power of understanding. "But I think, maybe, you should find a way to talk to Remi and apologize? I know you didn't mean anything by it, but you should have probably explained to him that there was a possibility of a kiss test and what it's used for. Maybe he'll understand afterwords."
Moving from the chair, sitting her pillow down, she moved over to him and placed her hand over his, crystal held between both their hands now. Funny how it had gone from him comforting her to the other way around. and if he looked he'd see no trace of anger in her features.
"You didn't kill anyone Azzo, stop blaming yourself. It's never been you but this school."
It just had to be this school. Because never before had she heard screaming walls or seen the top of an elevator shaft ripped clean off, or had dreams of eating people like she was some flesh eating monster or a zombie from one of Monroe's games or movies. And like hell one of her dearest friends would die of something she knew he didn't have, especially not since Azzo seemed to know what had happened to him. No, it wasn't the hypnotist's fault at all. It was just this horrid school!

Azzo looked at her, "I mentioned it to him. So he knew it was a possibility... I guess he forgot.... or something." He wrinkled his nose. "Doesn't make him any less mad at me."
His eyes looked down to her hands around his. Shaking his head, "Someone in this School." He muttered. Figuring she was right, "Yeah but if I do something stupid like looking for them, you have to realize that it could be me next."
He looked at her, "Think you'll feel up to grabbing some lunch tomorrow?"
He wanted the converstation to be done. But he also wanted to make sure she was able to eat something, "Even if it's just soup and ginger ale. To help settle that stomach."

"It happens sometimes, even I can be forgetful." Lord knows how many times she'd left sheet music behind some place. "I still think you should try talking to him if he'll let you."
Biting her lip she tightened her grip slightly around his hand, eyes closing as she swallowed a breath. "Don't go looking for them, please. At least not alone." Bad enough to have lost 'Nacio, she didn't want to lose anyone else though she knew that was a possibility. "I don't want to lose you too."
At his changing the subject, Melody smiled at his worry about her not eating all day and she nodded. "I hope so. I'm going to try and eat something tomorrow at any rate so I don't get sick."

Azzo looked at her, "Yeah, I bet."
At her worry he tilted his head, "Look Mel, If I find out who's behind this, then well... everyone would be safe. It'd be a noble cause." He had to figure out how to reassure her without causing worry.
"And lemme tell you, if s**t hit's the fan I'll still be here. Only I might be slightly transparent." He grinned at his own bad joke, knowing it probably wouldn't make her feel better, "But nah, if i don't think about it.... I won't take action."
He nodded, "Good then me, you, and chicken soup it is then. You're not allergic to ginger are you? 'Cause I'll go out and find some hot ginger ale that'll help settle your stomach. God knows we kept it around our house a lot. Maybe we can con Fallon into the Chicken Soup, I hear she's a great cook."
He looked over at the couch, "If you want, like I said you're welcome to stay here for the night I'll probably just end up sitting up and watching the hall way anyways. Make sure no one's up to anything."

"I just..."
Sucking her another breath, the blonde shook her head then smiled up at him. Her hand never strayed from his all the same. He was so sweet even if he didn't realize it.
"Either way, this talk of food is definitely making me look foreword to eating tomorrow." Proof she still had something of an appetite, even if she wouldn't be able to eat now.
Following his gaze to the couch, she had to admit that was a very tempting offer. And one she might take it if meant that she could sleep soundly. It didn't help that she felt safe around him and in his company.
"I think, maybe, I'll take you up on that offer."

Azzo nodded, "Good."
He knew how sick not eating could make you, probably sicker than actually eating light stuff.
He nodded, "You can have the bed actually. If I actually end up tired to the point of sleeping, I can crash on the couch." He normally slept better on couches or floors anyways for whatever reason.

"Your bed? B-but it's your bed and I don't want to take it from you..."
Her cheeks grew darker in color, the pinkish-red now more visible on her dark cheeks, and she held the pillow tighter. She'd be fine on the couch, honestly, she didn't need to take the bed. but some how she doubted he'd let her sleep otherwise.
"A-are you sure? M-maybe we could compromise?"

Azzo chuckled he'd hidden the crystal back in his sleeve when she let go. "Well then, I guess the answer is, sleep where you're comfortable Mel. I know some people can't sleep on couches for whatever reason. As long as it's at least decently comfortable I know I can sleep anywhere."
He paused, wait compromise...? He suddenly grew curious, but something was something him from vocally asking her what she meant.

"W-well I was thinking," she continued after he'd spoken, her mind still racing several miles a minute and she wondered if it was due to her lack of food or liquid intake. "I-if you wanted to compromise I could always take the bed until your tired and then you could wake me and I'd move to the couch."
Idly she realized she was babbling, going on and on with no real reason or point to her words. Well, not really. She couldn't even fathom why she was babbling honestly but she was. Of course in her babbling, which did extend past her offer to let him have the bed when he got tired, she mentioned something about sharing the bed. But she didn't seem to realize she had said or even thought something along those lines.
"B-but of course that's only if you want to, you know, and you can feel free to say no of course-" Yea, she really needed to shut up now.

He shook his head honestly amused, he'd stopped listening after a bit and sighed. "You need sleep Mel. I think you've gotten a bit Delirious."
He smiled, "I'll be fine where ever I sleep." He watched her. She didn't really say share the bed did she? ... That'd probably end up with me getting hit more than I care for.
"If you need me though, I won't be far." He nodded. "Goodnight Melody" He added as an extra hint for her that she might ought to sleep than worry about him.

She didn't bother with a verbal reply, did she really want to risk babbling like an idiot once again? Because really that previous bit was just down right pathetic. Monroe would have a field day with that information. Thank god he didn't go to this school.
She did, however, decide that he deserved some sort of thanks though she didn't dare speak. So she tilted her head a bit - not needing to stand on her tip-toes for this as they were about the same height, he may have had an inch on her - and she kissed his cheek. It was short but sweet all the same and she moved quickly for his bed to curl up on with her star pillow clutched to her chest. His words of comfort making her smile as she curled herself into a ball atop the mattress.
"Good night, Azzo."

Azzo stood there, very much like a deer in the headlights. When she went to curl up on his bed he watched her for a second before going back to settle in his chair looking out the door, hands resting back on his cane that he'd picked up from the wall which he'd propped it against.
What the hell just happened.... His mind was trying to figure out how they'd gone from her walking in looking like a mess, to him now sitting there with a girl in his bed and having just been kissed on the cheek.
He let a soft almost tired sigh escape before leaning back in his chair. ... Damn Weird nights.
