When they got to the school, Kalas went straight to the library. He never went into the cafeteria in the morning. It was too noisy. In the library, it was much quieter. He took a seat at one of the tables and layed his head down to rest until the first bell rung.

Since Alexander wasn't much for stalking, he went straight for his class, thinking on how Kalas acted to him speaking to him. He set his bag on his chair and drapped his jacket of it. He sat down, not talking to anyone and no one talking to him. His first class was algebra and he sucked at math no matter how hard he tried to study.

Kalas' first class was also algebra. How good he was entirely depended on the section being covered. He came into class just a few seconds before the last bell rang. He sat down in his seat and dropped his head on the desk, falling back asleep.

Alexander looked up when the bell rang to find that Kalas had algebra first hour as well. He smiled at him, but he didn't notice. He sat down in a seat that was right next to him, probably not even noticing him, and falling asleep immediately. Odd, he thought. He wanted to wake him up, but knew for a fact that that wasn't a very good idea.

The teacher was irritated at Kalas falling asleep immediately entering his class. He shouted out for the boy to wake up. Kalas cracked his eyes open and looked up at the teacher. "Ah? What is it?" This made the teacher even more mad and had Kalas solve the problem on the board. Kalas stared at it, confused for a moment. Then he turned to Alexander. "Oi, you. Yeah, person. You're my friend right?" He then gave a cruel smile. "Be a dear and solve it for me?" He then laid his head back on his desk. The teacher looked at Alexander.

Alexander got up and walked to the front of the class and solved the problem wrong on purpose. He knew this one by heart because it was basic and easy. The teacher yelled at him that he shouldn't even be in high school but still in elementary school for his poor math skills and said that he needed tutoring. "Kalas! Wake up! You have to tutor this boy in math." He pointed at Alexander. Alexander looked from the teacher to Kalas. "Are you serious? I bet he barely knows anything in math at all. Just like me." He smiled and knew this wasn't true but decided to have fun.

The teacher then spouted that Kalas was better than Alexander at least. He then woke Kalas up again. Kalas looked up with face of grief. "Yes...teacher?" The teacher then repeated the suggestion of tutoring Alexander. Kalas looked from the teacher, to Alexander, and back. The smile was back. "On one condition: if I tutor him, and do it well, I get to sleep as much as I want for the rest of the semester in your class." The teacher agreed to it, not realizing that he was being set up. Kalas nodded and sat up. "Oh, teacher, you wrote the problem incorrectly. With those digits, it'll be inconclusive." He yawned and stretched, scratching his hair. He looked at Alexander. "As for you, listen to me or die."

Alexander stared dumbfoundedly at Kalas. He looked at him up and down before sitting back in his seat next to his tutor/friend. "Um, okay. I don't feel like dying just yet. Guess I'll listen for a while." He grinned at his comment for a but before looking down at his desk, his notebook open to a blank sheet. He began drawing what looked like a dragon mixed with an elf. He was into the mythical creatures of the legends, after all.

To everyone, Kalas appeared to be asleep again. But he was really watching Alexander draw. Huh, so he's into mythology, eh? How...curious. When class ended, Kalas got up. "Oi, you, follow me." He walekd out the class.

Alexander continued drawing until class was over. When it was, he heard a familiar voice call out to him and he looked up staring right into Kalas' eyes. "Um, yeah, sure." He got up and grabbed his things and began to follow Kalas.

Kalas lead Alexander toward the school gates. IT was obvious he was leaving the school grounds.

Alexander watch peculirarly as they left the school grounds. "Hm, where are we going, Kalas?" He was curious as to where the two where heading, since school wasn't even over yet.

"Hm...no where...in particular." Kalas said wistfully as he headed down into the subway. At this time of day, nearly everyone were where they were supposed to be. "Ah, this place is perfect..." He looked over his shoulder at Alexander. "What's your motive?"

Alexander cocked his head to the side. "Motive? What motive and for what exactly?" He wondered what the boy could possibly mean by motive, because there were so many he didn't know which one to voice and which one might answer his question properly.

"Why do you want to be my friend? That motive. You have to have one." Kalas stated boredly. "So, what is it? Did someone in the school put you up to it? A long-scale plan to humilate and embarass me for al that I've said? Or perhaps, is it..." He stepped close to Alexander. "...that you plan to befriend me and find out things about me to sell to those who consider their selves my enemy? Well?" He really didn't care. He just wanted it out the way.
