Making sure he was following her, she made her way towards the lake with a soft hum. Today was a good day...so far. Remy had distracted her from being bored, and so far he was pretty damn cute, made her not want to be such a b***h.
Even if she still was.
Licking her lips, she looked back at him, eyes narrowing when he asked about her family...her jaw clenched, and she looked forward once more, taking in a deep breath.
"Human wise, they were ********. Wish I could have killed them before I left," sensitive subject, obviously. She bit back a growl, and debated on answering for her actual family. "My parents abandoned me, I dont know who they are or what they're like. Sorry," for not being able to say more. She supposed she should ask him about his--but eh. She honestly didn't want to hear about what the two-leggeds did to this sweet kitten. It'd just piss her off more.
"What happened to your nose, runt?"

Seeing her reaction to the question, Remy immediately felt guilty. Obviously some people had crappy humans. They were all strays for a reason.
"I..." He didn't really want to apologize, just because he knew it wouldn't mean much. And plus he really wasn't sorry, as awful as that sounded. If she hadn't been a stray then he never would have met her, and...
"You don't need 'em anyway right?" he chirped, smiling hopefully at her. "You've got me to be your family!"
Oh wow that was so lame. Maybe he should go talk to some other cats and learn how to be suave or something.
Perking at the question, he wrinkled his nose and huffed. "Family had another cat. He didn't like me much," he laughed, reaching up to touch the scars. He had been applying that cream like she said, and it really was making quite the difference, thank god.

Good save, Remy. Very good save.
But at his second comment, she glanced back at him--slightly surprised by the comment. As lame as it was, it made her chest swell...and she couldn't help but smile. A sincere smile. That didn't happen very often.
"Yeah. I do," now she felt lame. When he explained where the scars came from, she rolled her eyes and huffed, looking forward once more. "Bah, older cats are ridiculous." She didn't understand how anyone could dislike Remy...his personality was so addicting, it was weird. Maybe the cat was just some old b*****d who couldn't get over the fact that his territory spanned the kitchen and the livingroom.

"He wasn't so bad. Just didn't like me touching his stuff. And everything was his," he laughed. Prancing on ahead of her, he smiled as he smelled the water. Yay!
Running forward, he broke through the line of trees and rolled in the grass with a happy hum. "I love water~" he sang, wiggling and smiling at her. Ugh, why couldn't he ever just be cool. Jumping up to his feet again, he cleared his throat and smiled sheepishly.
Be normal for once Remy, please.
"What's your favourite food?" he asked curiously as he went over to the edge of the pond, peering inside the water.

Speeding up her own pace as he went off ahead of her, she shook herself off slightly after breaking through the line of trees.
Smirking when he rolled around, she shook her head and stepped up to the edge of the pond as he did, wading into the shallow water without much of a thought. Water really didn't bother her, so why be all whiny about it?
"Anything I can get," she snickered, "Cant be picky when you dont know when your next meal is coming," she purred, lifting one of her paws up to dangle it over the surface of the water. Bah, not a lot of fish..mostly small ones, at that. Why didn't he just let her get some birds, damnit?
"What about you?"

Watching her, Remy dropped to his belly and rested his chin on his paws, tail nub wiggling away. "But you're so good at getting food, there's gotta be something you like more than anything else!" he chirped, smiling toothily.
Oh god she was wet.
Thank god for fur, or else his blush would be awful. Flattening his ears slightly, Remy pointedly looked away and cleared his throat. "U-Um...I like grapes," he stuttered, focusing on a piece of grass as he heard her wading around. "I like a lot of fruits..."
Looking down, he watched some fish and some bugs scampering across the surface. "Do you have a boyfriend?" he blurted out suddenly, ears flattening completely to his head in embarassment as he refused to look up. Nice, stupid.

Chuckling softly, she shrugged and continued to paw at the water, pursing her lips while she listened to him.
Funny how a cat liked fruit.
Humming--she took a swipe at one of the larger fish, digging her claws in and catching it by the fin...just as he blurted out his random question. Perking her ears, she looked back at him, the water beginning to stain red from the blood.
Hobbling out, she plopped the fish down in front of him, licking at her paw as she sat herself onto her rump and smirked at him, almost knowingly...but now she was just curious, "No," Kaikara hummed, reaching down to drag her claws over the scales to pop them off, "Most people cant put up with me long enough to become that close to me. Why? Do you?" And yes, she meant boyfriend. He was too cute to not tease, of course.

Curling into a tighter ball, his whiskers twitched as the fish was dropped in front of him. Poor fishy..."That's silly," he muttered. Sure, Kaikara could be...difficult. But Remy liked hanging out with her. She made him feel funny.
Looking up in shock, he puffed out his cheeks and huffed. "No! I like girls!" How rude! Sitting up, he stiffened his shoulders and hmphed. "Do you have a girlfriend?" he teased, sticking his tongue out playfully.
Reaching over, he plucked off a few scales himself, blinking. Not too hard.

He was so weird. Arching a brow, she finished up the descaling and licked her lips, mimicking Remy by washing off her fingers and such. "There, have at it, runt," she teased, seating herself next to the fish but not too terribly interested in eating right now. Maybe in a little while.
But she was still curious, questions like that didn't come out of nowhere. She had just been teasing when she said something about liking girls--well, somewhat. They were okay. Found them irritating and whiny, however.
Humming, Kaikara began to clean her paws idly, waiting for him to eat so they could go do something else.

Plopping down rather depressingly, Remy nibbled at a piece of fish and draw idly in the dirt with his claw. Okay, so she liked girls. So what. Pouting slightly and flattening his ears, he finished off the little piece before sitting back up. He wasn't hungry anymore. Pushing at the food back towards Kaikara, Remy smiled sheepishly and dropped down to his belly. "I'm not hungry anymore," he mumbled. If he could blush, he would be, that was for sure.
Jumping up again, he shifted for a moment before smiling up at her. Why be upset? No point in it. "Let's go do something else!" Of course he felt bad for making her go to the trouble of catching and descaling the fish and he didn't eat much, but...
