He seems a bit unexplained when it comes to the Master Emerald and why he is able to leave it so much and I would want to know if he actually is aware that it still exists.

Someone once suggested that maybe he just got really lonely on his island, all by himself. Mind you, I suppose that depends on whether the Chaotix are still supposed to live there or not.
