Mareike groaned when the ball connected with Pepper's face, oh gods he was as bad as Adriel. The wrath spawn briefly wondered if pepper need some sort of welcome to how the world works tutorial before he was allowed to roam the rest of the streets of Gaia. Big and durable he might be now but he was still so naive to many things and Mareike worried about him getting hurt in other ways or caught up in the wrongs sorts if things becuase he didn't know better.
"No you're supposed to use the thing in your hand to hit it back at me but we're never supposed to actually hit each other," she explained. Although that in and of itself might make for an interesting game if the basis being it was to disable your opponent so they no longer wanted to or could play.

Pepper shook his head and then listened to her talk. SO..the thing in his hand was used to hit the ball. Alright.
He looked to the ball in his hand before he tossed it up into the air his eyes fallowing it and he swung and missed. Frowning he shifted position and then tried again...and missed. You could see with each attempt him getting angry and the ball and racket rather than his lack of skill.
In anger he threw the ball instead, since the racket refused to make contact with the ball.

Mareike laughed and moved to intercept the ball, as she caught it the maroon skinned girl admitted to herself Pepper had nice throw and grinned. " I don't think tennis is your type of sport." The words were teasing but not so much that the other would take offense, or at least she hoped he wouldn't. Mareike bounced the small irritation causing ball as she spoke.
"Maybe I can teach you later but let's do something else for now?" She wasn't really in instructor mode at the moment and seeing Pepper get made brought out a natural aggression response in her these days. Perhaps becuase he was big enough to register as a potential threat to her senses.
