Kai and the rest of team 3 arrived at the Oasis, Shayera leading the way. Upon seeing the beautiful sight of water, Kai let out an excited whoop and immediately dove in, exulting in the cool feel of the life giving water on his skin. Smiling as he swum around, Kai wondered what they had to do now, something about petting a beast. After a few more minutes of cooling off in the water, Kai walked, wet hair leaving a trail of wet sand behind as he walked around the Oasis, glad that the clue was in a shady and cool spot. Now it was just a matter of finding that beast."I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me"

As Kai looks around the Oasis, he comes upon an ox laying in the shade of a palm tree. With a shrug, Kai reached out and pet the gentle creature on the side, eliciting a blank look as the Ox turned its head to examine Kai."I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me"

After petting the ox, a warm breeze suddenly blew by stiring up the sand in the oasis and caused the group to momentarily cover their eyes to help block out the sand. Once the group reopened their eyes, they spotted a young women with short dark indigo hair wearing a sleeveless red kimono dress standing beside the ox. In her hand was a quiver containing 5 black arrows with special grooves along the head, shaft, and feathers.
Throwing the quiver towards Kai, Hitomi began to speak in her usual casual voice."Good job kiddies, seemed you solved the 14th riddle. Didn't really expect many people to know about the oasis." Raising her right hand, Hitomi indicated to the arrows within the quiver. "Those 5 arrows in the quiver can spin at high speeds once launched, and can drill through up to an inch of steel. A thing to note would be that on contact, these arrows can pierce through all barriers C rank and under, except Katon. It would also be wise of you if you don't use up all those arrows in one go." Crossing her arms, Hitomi waited for somesort of response from them.

Kai caught the quiver and as the proctor explained how they worked Kai's jaw dropped. Looking down at the arrows, Kai thought to himself,these are incredibly powerful! Why would they give us artifacts designed for use in a combat setting?Looking back up at the proctor, Kai bowed and said simply, "Thank you."I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me"

Genin | Katon | Konoha Taiji patted Kai on the Shoulder, "You know boss, you are really good with the riddle thing, I can't solve those for the life of me, Haha!" He chuckled a bit and then reached an arm into his backpack. He pulled out a large bottle of Aloe vera drink, and sipped on it before turning to kai. "Want some?" He happily questioned. "If we manage to pass this part, we should hunt down an extremely rare candy to each in celebration!" Taiji face lit up as he said this. Candy really was his one weakness. "So boss, how many does that make?"

Kai smiled at Taiji and took one of the Aloe vera drinks. After taking a few gulps, Kai let out a satisfied sigh and said happily, "That makes four, and with the scroll and the knowledge of the last artifact we need, we've got this stage in the bag." Finishing off the last of his drink, Kai looked to Taiji and asked calmly, "So shall we go to the tree now or do you want to wait?""I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me"

Seeing that her presence was no longer needed, Hitomi uncrossed her arms as she readied herself to teleport away. "Well then, I guess I'll be taking my leave now. Good luck with that tree kiddies, you'll need it." Smirking slightly, Hitomi swiftly performed the handseals for the teleportation scroll and disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Kai nodded his head and reached back to pull the scroll out of the scroll case on the small of his back. Opening the scroll, Kai placed his hand on Taiji's shoulder and said clearly, "Iwa's Ancient Tree." As a moment passed and nothing happened, Kai's eyes narrowed in confusion, when suddenly he could feel a tugging sensation on the top of his head. Then just as suddenly as the tug came, it went away, but Kai was no longer in the oasis of Wind country, he and the rest of team three were now in earth country, standing before a giant fossilized tree."I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me" [exit to ancient Iwa tree]

Genin | Katon | Konoha Taiji paused and gave an awkward look to Kai. "funny, I had a feeling that it wouldn't be so easy to-WAAAAAAH!" His sentence was cut short by the great sensation of his entire body beeing sucked upwards. He grabbed Shayera's hand tightly as it pulled them into what seemed to be a pocket of darkness that sprouted from the air. [exit to Iwa tree]

Jade stopped once she saw the oasis, and immediately dumped Kay's body. Now, having run for so long, and fast, was taxing, especially with so much to way her down. Jade smiled at a noise, the sound of a lazy ox milling his way to her. "Hey Lloyd! Long time no see!" In one of her many adventures, Jade had used this ox to sneak into Suna, and visit the marketplace. Then, since there was no place in Akatsuki for an ox, she left him here, in a comfortable little oasis. Jade pet the ox for a moment, and then recalled the boy that was with her. Then it hit her, she should tie Kay up. So reaching into one of her pouches, she pulled out Shinobi Wire, dangerous, but all she had. Jade swiftly bound the boys arms and legs, in the form of a hog tie.

Chihiro Geitou  Chihiro caught up to Jade a few seconds later, out of breath and choking for air. He immediately collapsed face-first into the ground. "I'm not cut out for all this running." he groaned and rolled over on his side to see Jade hog-tie the stranger she'd taken from the catacomb. "So what're you going to do with him?"

Kay woke up suddenly, and found himself tied up. He rolled to a sitting position slightly bent over and stared at the woman wordlessly. He spoke after a few minutes. "Is he yours?" he asked looking at the ox with bewilderment having nothing to do with it in hiseyes.

Jade looked at Chihiro, her breath now steadying. "That, is a wonderful ques-" She was then cut off by the now conscious Kay. Jade moved over to the kid, and crouched infront of him. "No, Lloyd is free now." This of course implied that at one point, she owned him. This also implied that Jade had very weird taste in naming things. "On another note. What am I to do with you? I suppose I should kill you...or should I leave you here, and allow you to roll your way back to Suna?" Jade was at a loss, simply playing big with her words. There was no way in hell she'd murder a child, which is why she did not attack Sushi back.
