Namini liked this woman, she decided. She was very upbeat and very kind, someone the teen would imagine a sister to be like. Her brown brows knitted together at a repeated word as she tried not to question too deeply, "You said..she disappeared one day? Did she just..-poof!- or was it like..she.. ran away?" The brunette was hoping she wasn't hitting some kind of nerve with this question. She meant no ill will.

What..was she doing? Prajna floated quickly back from the haunting cat, its crow-like wings spreading out as it created distance between them. Her violet eyes were darting about as if she was..analyzing something, preparing for something. Prajna kept its left hand raised and directed at Lucia, while its right moved to preoccupy the space beside Prajna's right temple, the palm facing inwards. Icy blues watched carefully as delicate porcelain hands reached low and pulled up a shining belt buckle. This was it! A few more decisive moments passed and Prajna attempted to control its breathing, though its emotions were running wild! Adrenaline was pumping throughout its entire half-torso, though nothing like the flames' electrifying sensation arose. Not even once, not even a flicker. Then the fight began.

Lucia was fast!

The cat's first move was to throw her weight back, back and to the left as she hurled the belt buckle at the redhead's face. Instead of avoiding the punch Lucia was preparing though, Prajna instinctively tried to deflect the belt buckle with its extended hand, though the buckle struck anyways. To Prajna, something as simple as a belt buckle could prove more dangerous than some cat, especially when in the hands of said cat. The ribbon twirled around Prajna's forearm and the momentum brought the buckle down on Prajna's temple. The Star winced, but returned to the situation at hand, its eyes darting to focus on the left fist. It could not give her that chance!!

The fiery redhead, with Lucia's ribbon still entangled around its arm, pulled the girl close. If it limited her distance, if it cut off her momentum, the punch, it would prove futile. Prajna jerked on the ribbon again, harder as it turned its right hand into a fist. They'd duke it out, simple as that.

Yuurei's eyes blinked, the only sign that the question had hit a nerve. "I don't know, actually. The police said she ran away and made it look like she was kidnapped, but she literally just kind of reappeared. I don't know how to explain it and Lucia hasn't been very forthcoming." She had started this conversation, and the girl had been so open with her, there seemed no reason to keep this problem really from her.

Lucia smiled mid-fight at Prajna took the bait. As the ribbon became tangled on its wrist and the buckle smacked into its temple, Lucia felt herself being pulled closer. She had figured she would only get one hit with the buckle so she was expecting more hand-to-hand fighting after that.

Instead of pulling away from the star, Lucia slammed her full body weight against it trying to pin it on the ground. It's left hand was temporarily incapacitated so she threw her weight to her opponent's right slightly, and her right hand wrapped around the frei's neck as she squeezed her hand against the red-haired raevan's windpipe. Die! Lucia knew her own left hand was half useless, so if she was going to win, the cat would have to win quickly.

"Made it look like she was kidnapped huh? Sounds like something Prajna would do..Oh, what a gloomy subject. Ms..Yuurei, you said? What is your occupation?" Namini chirped, hoping to lighten the air a bit, though it seemed like she was the only tense one here.

Prajna let out a lungful of breath as the surprisingly heavy female threw herself against its chest and onto the sand. It had shut its eyes for only a split second out of reflex but soon, they snapped open, surprised by a growing and sudden pressure on its throat. The ugly girl was trying to CHOKE it! Prajna gasped, struggling under the other's weight, its arm tangled in the buckle and ribbon. What it had thought was an advantage was clearly proved wrong. Now that she was close enough to hit, Prajna could do nothing. Blue eyes darted about, looking for some kind of help as it felt its lungs grow hot. Sand that had been unsettled by the Flame's panicking wings stuck to the sides of Prajna's sweating face and neck as its right hand groped around the grainy surface. That's when an idea came to the redhead.

Despite the weight pushing down on its right shoulder, Prajna grabbed as much sand as it could in its right hand and then threw it sideways, towards the cat's eyes, hoping to distract her for a moment. A moment was all it needed, for something had suddenly pieced together in the Star's head as they had been falling. Instead of striking it with her left fist, Lucia threw her weight against it, specifically to Prajna's right. It was as if she was avoiding something, protecting something. The minute the sand left Prajna's hand, the now empty hand reached for Lucia's left arm, hoping, if things went properly, to get a hold on it and hopefully gain some kind of advantage.

Yuurei's relief was inward as she was so glad that Namini seemed to understand, or at least not question. "Just Yuurei," she said with a smile. "And I dabble in all sorts of things. I inherited a company and, thankfully, don't have to run it!" Again, not too many details. Yuurei's past was a bit sad, marred by sparks of happiness here and there. The company was inherited from her grandmother, Nana Lucia. "What do you do?" she asked politely, returning the question.

Lucia's eyes narrowed. Die! Die! Her eyes focused on the panic in Prajna's redding face; it's eyes were flicking about; it was struggling. Suddenly sand was hitting her face and her eyes reflexively closed, but not without pulling away from the sand, her weight off of Prajna's neck as she was spitting at sand that got on her lips. The saliva and sand mixture released from the cat's mouth flew towards the other freis' but Lucia had been caught off guard.

Suddenly she felt extra pressure on her left arm. Oh no. The splint, she hoped, would protect her wrist, and she was glad that the doctor had taped it down so well. There was no way Prajna could remove the splint and do Lucia real damage, but even it putting pressure on the stiff metal ribbing of the splint in the right place could really hurt Lucia. This all, of course, she realized too late as the hand wrapped around her arm.

Namini's lips twitched ever so slightly as she tried to maintain her smile. What did Namini do.. "I'm just a student now. I used to work but I'm a bit clumsy you see, so..yeah yeah. I just focus on my studies now," she mewed, playing with her hair. How could she tell such a high standing beauty of her failures? Seven jobs?! No other teen had such a record of failure. "My studies and Prajna I suppose. My brother says I'm the stay-at-home kind of girl anyways. I like to cook you see. Were you at this beach a year ago? The Lab had an event here, a cook off. It was lots of fun. Lots of fun memories." The blue eyed girl seemed to be daydreaming.

Prajna made a face as Lucia's saliva dripped down its cheek. And this girl called PRAJNA disgusting?! That's when Prajna felt it. That smooth, dark fabric of hers..right beneath its fingers. Prajna tightened its grip and then pulled at the odd, hard texture in its hand, directing it further out and to the left. All it needed was to get this stupid feline off of it and the battle could presume on a more level playing field. Level being advantageous for Prajna. Prajna jerked roughly on Lucia's wrist again, adding a twist this time, though it wondered exactly how much damage this was actually causing. What was this stiff feeling running through Lucia's arm?

Yuurei smiled. "Well dedicate yourself to your studies. I have a MBA, though I don't need to use it." Homeschooling, once in Nana Lucia's guardianship, had done Yuurei well and she had managed to go to school early. Yuurei grinned. "Well you'll have to have us over sometime. I can't cook a bit! I'm more the "can you get this catered?" type of girl." The woman smiled at the mention of the summer event. She had been the Pie Eating Queen along with Melisande. She wasn't going to mention that. "Oh yeah I was here! Lucia was as well." Yuurei was oblivious to Namini's daydreaming and continued. "It was fun, back before the lab had it's new location."

The cat let out a loud piercing scream. Lucia couldn't help it. The pain shooting up her arm grew as the stupid hooker twisted her wrist. The combination of the pressure on her wrist and the awkward twist in her elbow and shoulder, the only places she could turn, made her cry out. Her wings extended and she was off of Prajna and clawing at Prajna's hand with all of her might, digging her fingernails in as hard as possible. "GET OFF OF ME!!!!" she cried out as she couldn't focus with the pain.

Namini let out a pretty ring of a giggle, happy to be in the presence of this woman's kind smile! "What is..an MBA?-she giggled a bit more-And of course we'd love to have you and Lucia over. Anytime, though I should give you a heads up, my brother has a soft spot for pretty ladies. He means well overall but, hm. He is a boy."

Prajna grinned wildly, happy to see a decent reaction out of the cat. How did she like a taste of her own medicine? Prajna winced as Lucia continued to scream but was moreover relieved to finally have gotten the witch off of its throat. Though saved, for now, Prajna wasn't going to take any risks. The genderless Frei refused to let go over her left wrist. Its blue eyes flickered over to the guardians, wondering just how long it would take them to understand what was taking place, before returning back to its mindless victim. As she floated upwards and back, trying to escape whatever pain Prajna was causing, Prajna followed her lead, still bound by the belted ribbon. Once vertical, though, the redhead, ignoring the sharpness of Lucia's digging claws, pushed against the girl's chest and began to dig its own nails into the textured padding of the splint.

"LISTEN Lucia. Listen to Prajna. Prajna will not get off of Lucia unless...Lucia make promise and a good one. Promise Lucia or," the redhead paused before using both hands to violently twist the cat's wrist down and inwards. "Promise or Prajna will not get off hand."

"An MBA is a master's degree in business administration. Just in case I had to do anything with that company," she said with a wink. At the mention that Namini had a brother, Yuurei grinned, "You have a brother? What's he like? Is he hot?" She laughed, teasing the girl with the "hot" question. "No, I mean I'm single and not really looking for anything but if something fun comes up. . ." she trailed off and shrugged her shoulders with a grin.

The wrist was so heavily padded that Prajna's nails had no effect compared to the pressure on her wrist. However the wrist twisting made her cry out in pain. "Oh my god you ********! Promise you ******** what?!" she yelled in anger. Her right hand was gripping her left wrist, but it wouldn't keep her from fighting. If only the little s**t would let go.

Lucia reacted instinctually, her mouth opening wide and her teeth clamped down hard on the frei's upper arm. Tears escaping her intrepid purple eyes, Lucia's right hand released her left, crying out from the resulting extra pain, and she swung, in a fluid motion, her elbow and then balled-up fist at Prajna's face. Hopefully, it would connect and at least make the stupid ******** let her go.

If not, Lucia decided, it wouldn't matter. She would let the a*****e have her wrist, and she would bite her lip and wail on IT. No matter what, she would be beating this thing to death.

Namini looked like someone had just hit her in the face with a basketball, her cheeks flaring up at Yuurei's inquisition, "David..He's..my brother? I.. Um. ..He's my brother?" The frazzled teen wasn't sure what else could be said about the older Nao. Or perhaps, what was good to say?

"He's..about 5'10"? I think? I can't recall. Um.. He's an assistant at a local veterinary clinic in Durem. David..has..short black hair, usually spiked. Um.. I think he's single? He's..kind of a weird, like, the way he shows affection, to me at least, is weird; He acts tough but has a big heart, I know that too. ..He..really likes women. He is always dating someone new, though the last few times I've heard he's been getting closer to Ebony?"

Namini felt her cheeks burning away!

Prajna, on the other hand, was beaming. Now it had that stupid cat, right where it wanted her. It would make her spill everything, anything she knew about Cordelia, the snake and her weaknesses, her strengths, her powers. Anything[/i.] As the Star opened its mouth to announce its compromise, it suddenly felt an intense pain running through its forearm.

"IDIOT GIRL!" the redhead shrieked as trickles of blood began to drip down its arm and onto its pristine dress. Prajna removed its bound left hand from the feline's fragile wrist and attacked the girl's face, stabbing and raking its nails into her cheek and temple. That's when everything moved too quickly. In one second, Prajna was clawing away at Lucia's face with its left hand while its bleeding right arm attempted to literally unhinge the cat's wrist from her forearm, and then in the next second, it was fluttering back from her, its grip released. Prajna raised a hand to the left side of its jaw, already feeling the swelling begin. Its eyes were like icicles, piercing into the female's matted features. A cough of blood and Prajna wiped its lip on the bottom of its newly bloodied dress.

"Girls are all the time so much trouble for Prajna. No more. No more will Prajna let STUPID, UGLY GIRLS touch! No more promise for DUMB girl! Lucia lose everything!" the Star screamed, its pride overtaking its logic.

Yuurei laughed at Namini's discomfort. "Don't worry about it! I know he's your brother. I'm just teasing. But that's really cool it seems like you two are close." Ebony, hmm? Oh well, she thought; it's not like she was even likely to meet David any time soon. Change the subject. Make the poor girl feel better. "So what are you studying in school?"

Lucia ignored the pain in her face from the scratching. ******** this b***h, she thought, ignoring all pain receptors in her brain. The only important thing was that this raevan died. She would need to kill it. And she didn't care how much it took out of her.

The cat felt satisfaction as the it lost control and began screaming. The humans were sure to notice, but not before she would rip out its throat. Lucia dove at Prajna as the frei finished the word "everything", tackling it and slamming her fists into the it over and over and over and over. She was determined to beat Prajna until it died. Lucia scream as she attacked it was high pitch, loud, and long. She couldn't think she was only intent on beating this thing.

Namini was immediately relieved to be given a change in subject. No one had ever asked her about David, especially in that kind of light; the teen prayed she'd never have to try and think of her sibling like that again. A smile. "I'm thinking about going into education or maybe nursing. I like to help people and I love kids, so I thought it might be for the best" Namini said, oozing with genuine affection towards both prospects. "Perhaps Prajna could be my first disciple. I've been meaning to sit down with it and teach it proper grammar. Say...Yuurei, here, please, let me give you my cell phone number. Maybe we could set up some kind of study date or something between Prajna and Lucia?"

Prajna felt its anger explode as its wings impacted with the beach's shore once again, the wavy-haired feline, somehow, on top, AGAIN, beating it over and over and oovvverrr. Would she never tire!? But this time Prajna knew of her weakness, or perhaps a potential weakness. As its face received bruise after bruise, scratch after bloody little scratch, the redhead took its arms and pushed itself up against Lucia's half-torso. It flapped its feathery wings several times, kicking sand and some of the tide up around them before quickly leaning in, taking in a particularly painful blow to its eye, and securing its teeth around Lucia's already mauled wrist. A trick it had learned from Varun and the lovely she-beast herself. To add salt to the wound, Prajna felt something in its mouth slip or perhaps tear, forcing it to cough blood directly into the cat's sleeve. It locked its jaw and clamped down harder.

Yuurei pulled out her phone and typed in Namini's phone number. "Those are awesome goals!" she said honestly with a blink. Yuurei had never been interested in children and never liked taking care of sick people, but she respected those who did. Nana Lucia had taught her well. "Oh I'm sure Lucia would love a play date! Right Lu --" She projected her voice on the last sentence and turned to the freis. Yuurei's eyes opened wide.

Lucia was beyond caring. As the frei felt the familiar movements of the mouse trapped beneath it, the cat closed her eyes, locked her mouth closed and just continued punching the frei beneath it. When you used the same moves on the same opponent, you can't always trick her. It wasn't that she was stronger, Lucia just seemed not to care anymore. She was exhausted and completely drained, but she didn't care. The virus had been in her too long and she just had no concern for her own welfare as long as she could kill this thing. Her eyes hazed as her fist slammed into Prajna's rib. The frei would pass out soon.

The cat was breathing heavily when she saw a definite opening. She was almost spent, about to pass out and be completely screwed when Prajna tried to use her trick and bit her broken wrist. As Prajna's teeth pushed against the padding and boning of the splint, it exposed its neck and Lucia let out a shrieking scream as she pounced, her teeth digging into the red head's neck, just shy of her aim of its jugular. ********. She could still kill it this way. Holding its neck with her teeth would keep it pretty incapacitated.

Suddenly Lucia felt a sharp pinch on her ears and fingers pushing into her cheek to force her to open her mouth. She whimpered at the pain in her ear and as she was forced to release her grasp on the its neck, the cat scowled and half moaned half screamed in a wailing sound; the humans had arrived.

Yuurei grasped her frei's ears as she pushed her fingers against Lucia's cheek. "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" she screamed at the cat, slightly out of breath from running over. The blonde pulled on Lucia's wing and ear once she was sure the cat's teeth were not able to immediately clamp back onto Prajna.

Namini was beaming with pride, happy to have Yuurei accept her goals so openly versus David's indifference. That's when she followed the blonde's eyes over to their "children" and felt her heart skip a beat. Not again, not again! her mind screamed as her legs bolted instinctively to her Frei's side.

Prajna's screaming blended, in a kind of artistic way, with Lucia's as blood trailed down its neck and chest. The cat had definitely gotten her fangs in deep, too deep perhaps. Immediately upon release from its captive, Prajna cupped a hand over the wound, hoping to stop the blood flow. Somehow. The ribbon it had tied around its palm was soaked in blood as well. Everything from the Star's head to its ribbon was torn or bloodied, bruised or frazzled. Namini was probably going to never let it out again after this. What was this now? It's fourth fight? Though, beneath all the stinging cuts and throbbing bite marks, the redhead was still able to enjoy the cat's wailing. It cracked a smirk, but only temporarily: Namini was on the shore now, that same puppy-dog look in her face. The only expression that could instantly kill any form of pride in the Inverted Flame.

"Prajna! What happened? I..Are you alright? Is Lucia alright? Why Prajna? Why must you constantly fight with others?" she whimpered, stroking the Frei's hair. Prajna sighed before shrugging childishly, looking away. God damn her and her unbelievable kindness!
PostPosted: Mon Nov 16, 2009 10:51 pm

Lucia wanted to kill Prajna. She wanted to strangle it and drown it and suffocate it and destroy it. However, when Yuurei intervened the frei didn't have the strength to do anything but lean against her guardian and let the blonde do what she would do, even though her eyes never lost their sharpness and never wavered in their fixed glare.

Yuurei felt Lucia sag against her. Glancing at her own frei, the woman realized that she was not without her own share of bruises, scratches and pain. Her entire body seemed to have a red or angry purple mark somewhere. Though the most bloody part of Lucia was her face and fists, both not from her own blood, the cat in no way won this fight. If Yuu and Namine hadn't intervened when they did the kitten's strength would have most certainly failed in a most devastating way.

"Lucia will be fine and I'm sorry, but I think I need to take her home...and call the lab." Looking at Prajna and his guardian, the blonde knew that it would be well taken care of. Though Yuurei could not lift the raevan as easily as Rivener had not too long ago, she pulled Lucia's right arm over her shoulder.

"I am very sorry, but I will call you and we will, at least, have to see each other again sometime soon." Her face expressed a disheartened smile at the girl she had immediately liked so much. And she pulled Lucia towards the car.

"Come on, Loush! At least try to flap your wings a little!"
