Fallon wasn't in much of a mood to be social, but she had promised Cameron a sandwich. Cracking open the fridge, she grabbed some left over chicken, capers, mustard, and a smattering vegetables. She placed these on a counter and pulled out a bowl, dumping the capers in a smashing them under the flat side of a spoon. She was making some kind of sauce, but it wasn't clear what. She had no intention of sticking around after she made the sandwich, but until then, she could be social. "Prom is coming up soon. You might want to narrow your list if you want to bring a date." After a pause, she added, "Not me." By now, she hoped he would realize that, but Cameron didn't exactly have a good track record. It really was for the best if she just reiterated that fact.

"Prom?" Cameron hadn't really thought much about prom. In fact, he hadn't even realized it was coming up. Prom meant work. It meant limos and corsages and renting a tux and taking a girl out to an expensive dinner... All in all, it meant more of an effort than Cam was generally willing to make. "Ah... I'll probably go stag or something." He finally said with a shrug. Easier to pick up girls at the dance, probably.
"Who are you going with, since you aren't going with me?" He asked with a grin, his nostrils flaring at the delicious scent that was rising from the bowl.

Stacking meat and vegetables on to one of the slices of bread, Fallon used one hand to drizzle a good helping of the sauce all over it. She sprinkled on a little spice that looked kind of like cayenne pepper, and then placed the other slice of bread on top. The sandwich still needed to be prepared, however, and so Cameron would have to be patient.
Turning up the heat on the stove, she finished greasing the pan and then placed the completed sandwich in it, flattening it with the flat side of her metal spatula. "I might go to prom. I haven't quite decided whether or not I want to ask anyone, and no one has approached me." Cameron didn't count in that number, but Fallon decided to be more specific. "No one I want to approach me at least." The buttery oil in the pan sizzled, but Fallon kept her spatula in place, gradually making the sandwich flatter and flatter.
With a free hand, she pushed a chunk of her over her shoulder and away from the oil popping on the stove. "You should go. I imagine there will be many lonely, dateless girls there." Was that a compliment? It didn't really sound like it. Fallon had no interest in those girls, the unwanted ones. She liked a girl who was in demand. She liked to show others simply how qualified she was at roping in even the most evasive of women.
Like Serenade.

"Lonely, dateless girls." He grinned at the thought. "You know, I'm not a complete predator." Only mostly a predator. Except he was really too lazy to prey on girls in a manner that would truly be effective. "But someone should show them love and appreciation." Cameron could be that someone. Cameron would cheerfully be that someone.
"That... smells amazing, by the way." He stood peering over her shoulder as the sandwich got flatter and flatter, sending tendrils of delicious scent wafting in his direction. "You are a woman of many talents, Fallon."

Predator or not, Fallon was certain Cameron would be prowling the lines of wallflowers lingering on the outskirts of the prom. He might claim to be all cuddles and hugs, but it would be too tempting, she thought, for him to resist. Sliding her spatula under the sandwich, she flipped it over and began to repeat the process she had done for the reverse. Love and appreciation? Hm. Oh, Cameron, honestly? "If that's what you want to call it," Fallon said flatly, working her arm over the pan. One could not profess to be a ladies' man and then back off and profess to desire only the most innocent of things.
Just ask Andeon.
Fallon did not respond to his compliment, but flattened her spatula on the bread in response, bringing out a flurry of grease sizzles. "Sandwiches aren't hard. You could easily do this yourself, just not as well as I can do it for you." It was an egotistical statement, but Fallon regarded it as fact. Judging by the smell, the sandwich had a few more minutes before it was done, and then she could be off to attend to other things on her schedule for the day.

It was true, though, Cameron did want to show all women love and appreciation. Preferrably while all parties involved were nude. Love and appreciation went a long way when you were nude. He grinned at the thought. "Things always taste better when someone makes them for you. Did you put the secret ingredient in?" He grinned rakishly.
((OMG, sorry this took so long. Been out with that h1n1 thing.))

Fallon lifted the sandwich from the pan and onto a white plate. She brandished a knife and cut it down the center. A caper-infused sauce leaked out, filling the kitchen with a tart, crispy smell. Crossing to the table, she placed the sandwich down in front of Cameron. "Even if I told you what was in a dish," she began, crossing quickly back to the sink to wash the pan, "you would never be able to create it like I can." She smiled then. It was not smug, just matter-of-fact.
Stashing all of her things away and picking up her cleaning caddy, Fallon moved toward the toward in brisk steps. "Have a nice day, Cameron," she said, not turning around. The clicking of her heels followed her out into the hallway, up the stairs, and then nothing. Cameron was left alone to enjoy his sandwich, and Fallon was off to continue her day according to schedule.

He dove into the sandwich and his mouth was full of tasty deliciousness when Fallon took her leave. She didn't even give him a chance to say goodbye. Not that he was suprised in the slightest... but still. Fallon was a nice enough girl. He should have thanked her. Cameron briefly entertained the idea of a card or something before dismissing it out of hand. Like he'd ever get around to sending a thank you card.
Staring after her, he munched on the sandwich, his tastebuds infused with delight. "What a woman..." Cam muttered through his mouthful.
