Cody allowed the former angel to feel the feathers that were woven intricately into his hair starting at the scalp. "Questions..." the spawn repeated and looked into Hyacinth's face. There was no denying how similar they looked when they were this close. "Well... What did you do for fun? Hobby?" he asked softly, sounding rather ashamed about earlier. What could have driven him to such anger like that? It was so strange...

Cody tilted his head slightly at the thought of gardening. Shadai gardened a little and Ary knew how to make these really awesome ice flowers that would grow and thrive in the freezer, but he had yet to actually take an interest in it. "If you want, I could check on 'em next time I'm at th' facility," he offered, noticing how sad Hyacinth was at the prospect of the plants being unattended.

"What I like t' do? Well..." the spawn hesitated, unsure of how to phrase his favorite hobbies without upsetting the former angel again. "I like t' collect things, like feathers. Oh! I also like t' play hide-n-seek cause I'm really good at that," he replied slowly, making sure nothing came out as rude or something. If he had said he liked to sneak around and steal things, he was sure Hyacinth would be put on edge and his strange friend would intervene and take him away.

"Oh! Want feather? Have lots," Cody asked, gently fingering one of the many feathers that grew with his hair. It was an odd place for them, he had to admit, but he wouldn't give them up for the world. Well, all of them anyways. "Did your wings have these same feathers?" he asked, curiously, unsure of whether the color came from Hyacinth or Drake. He had a hunch that it was Hya, but... One could never be certain.

Cody merely grinned more at how happy Hyacinth was at his mere mentioning of looking in on the flowers the next time he was at the facility. The angel must have really cared about the flowers there to be cheered up that much over a single spawn checking up on them.

"Oh, not that painful and worth it," the spawn replied, reaching deeper into his hair and closer to the scalp, trying to find one of the older feathers and consequently longer ones. He found that they were easier to remove than the newer ones. After a few moments of searching and a slight flicker of a flinch, the child pulled out a peachy feather that was roughly the same length of his hand.

"Here you go. Now you have something to remember me by," he added as a soft smile replaced the previously thoughtful one. To him, the loss of one of his precious feathers was a bit saddening. However, it was completely worth it by his standards as his angel father now had something that belonged to him. It was a cute scene to behold, that was for sure.

"Not th' same color as yours, but it still close," he added, finally realizing they weren't the same at all. Phoo.

Cody merely smiled, barely keeping his excitement bubbling beneath the surface. That excitement died down a bit as Addy stepped forward and said he could only ask one more question. Wings drooping a bit unhappily, the spawn quickly ran through a list of different questions he wanted to ask.

"What it like for you when you have t' wait? I mean... for a long time or somethin'," Cody finally asked, curious as to what it was like to the angel. Most of the other questions he had thought of were rather pointless or meaningless to him outside of the fact that he would know said information.

Cody just nodded, barely noticing his mother emerge from the store, looking somewhat distraught beneath several bags of groceries. He was fairly sad that his "father" was leaving so soon, but was glad to have at least talked with him and got a few of his numerous questions asked. "You're welcome, and goodbye," he said and seemed to finally notice his guardian as she set down a couple bags.

"Cody? Who are they?" Shadai questioned curiously, peering over her bags to look at Hyacinth and Addy. Addy was immediately glanced over as her gaze locked onto Hyacinth. Cody looked like he could be a direct descendant of the male... Wait, could he be the angel of patience? It wouldn't be that big of a surprise, but where did Cody's feathers come from then?

Cody just glanced up at the female, then back to Hyacinth, then back to Shadai again. "Hyacinth and Addy," he replied quietly, looking relatively confused as to his surroundings. His hand gently touched one of the feathers in his hair and focused his gaze at last on Hyacinth, freezing instantly.

"Cody? Is something the matter?" Shadai had notice the boy stiffen and stare at the two, finding it highly unusual. But before she could react, he turned and bolted around the corner and out of sight. "CODY! COME BACK HERE!" she cried, sighing tiredly upon realizing the child wasn't going to return at her calling.

"I'm sorry, he's been acting a little strange as of lately. I hope he hasn't caused you too much trouble," she said, shifting the bags to pull a cell phone out of her purse. If there was anyone who could track him, it had to be Ary of whom she assumed to be sitting at home downing yet another bag of potato chips. She may be lazy and irritable ninety percent of the time, but she certainly had her uses.

"Don't worry about him, though. He can't get far. I've dealt with worse, unfortunately," she added, hoping to relieve their worry as she tried to contact the house and keep an eye open for a flash of pink and wings. ANYTHING to give her some idea of where the spawn was.
