"I love watching them come out like this when the sun goes down..." She continued, picking up on his attention to where she was taking the conversation. They always had been good at reading each other that way, and now she felt excitement building up again with the news she was about to share, somehow managing to disguise it for now. "Even if you watch with all your attention, they come out in small bunches until suddenly it looks almost like the sky is being lit up with warm silver spots all over, connecting to one another like families, telling stories..."
They're traveling band had started out small, and if you compared it to the numbers they had now... The new members, new litters always seemed to come in sets of no less than two and no more than six until now.
"Our four little stars are all grown and shining on their own now..." She shifted her stare away from the sky to hold his gaze, sure that he'd catch exactly what she meant, now, that he'd make the connection. "... but already there are new little ones waiting for their turn to come out and add to our story."
