I already posted about this in the GCD, so I'll just pasta it. Aglo na oiche So Gaia brings us to another f*****t ending, where neutrality (well, manga-wise) sets in. I kinda saw this happening, but I was really hoping for one ******** decent ending. No hugs, no puking rainbows, no pooping gumdrops, and no goddess damned neutrality. Why, Gaia? Why?! Why can't we get some actual plot for once? Way to smash our hopes. Woo~ ...

It used to be different... they fired all their old writers. Have you seen how many awesome comics have gotten cut out?

To put it simple, Gaia doesn't want anything to change. It's easier to just say, "BAM, APRIL FOOL'S!" than to, say, bring about change. The closest they got was the whole Ian-vamprie saga, and while that's lasted in that Ian's appearance has changed, nothing has actually come about from it. Except some hella ugly vampire skins in the skin shop... Actually, most of the skin potions are hideous. I'll stick to superior form, ta.
Negatic Nancy? Hahah. Of course we're negative. We're powerless idiots along for the ride. They put up a suggestion box to appease us, but they flush all the suggestions down the toilet without even looking. But this isn't going to dissolve into a rant about "the good old days". Buck up, get the ******** over it. Gaia doesn't care about you unless you feed money into it, and even then you only get a cursory, insincere thank you. Gaia is a business, and they don't give a s**t about the customers.

SpikeyHairedHero Your all a bunch of negative nancies, why dont you all just go get a pet or something to relieve your stress? I thought that's your job biggrin Anyways, I saw it coming and could care less biggrin I just wanted some free s**t is all. The only time they'll not have a neutral ending is if it was between the towns (like the Special Olympics) which I think they need to have more of instead of this whole "good vs. evil" bull. We all know those things are subjective biggrin

Gaia is a business. But then again all businesses need money to make stuff happen. I'm sure it took a lot out of them to do that storyline with Ian. And it will probably be awhile before they do something else. But they have a lot on their plates as it is. From a project that started with a bunch of college kids. Gaia has come a LONG way. I remember when you couldn't even MAKE profiles. I remember when the only game available was Slots. I remember when Coco kitty just came out and I traded my maid outfit and goth boots to some stupid chick. If you look at everything they have up just for maintenance alone. They have all of the games, the forums, people bitching, glitches, and everything else. Plus they're expected to host events on holidays every year, send out collectibles every month, and update the shops.

To be honest, I could live without the holiday events. I mean, they're inconsequential enough as it is. And shop updates are the same as they have always been: rare and disappointing. But they subvert this by giving us pretties we can obtain by forking over real money. Or being market savvy. The fact that so many crotchety "oldbies" liked Gaia back when it was just a simple, crappy forum like any other, back before all the flash and glitz says something. Whatever it says, I'm not saying, not my view, so you'll have to draw your own conclusions.
My view: who cares, I don't. I just like to complain. I have a bitter, cynical, misinformed view of the world, and I'm stubborn enough to ignore your arguments, however valid they may be.
I never claimed to be intelligent. Just coherent.

Sasori Nagashi and jack calles them little demi gods, he's not even a god!!! he is a... THING! XD Well, let's take the Terry Pratchett approach to this...
Jack is the embodiment of the holiday Halloween. So we can say that his power comes from people who celebrate Halloween. Even if not the entire world celebrates it as avidly and thoroughly as America, it's still a worldwide phenomenon. So we can say that he draws almost infinite power, at least during his holiday (and the lead up to it, since so much effort and obsession is put into things beforehand). I'd say that's pretty godlike. He's an embodiment. An entity of a concept obsessed over by humans. Definitely a God.
I'm feeling contrary...

Well that ending is a lot better then what they previously had lol. But this is what I had actually expected. I imagined at the end they'd find the worm the same as it always has been.
