Her eyes were still looking at the water, still searching for the culprit of the disturbance, but she responded to Alease's request of practice with her small voice. "Y-yeah... I suppose we should get started... it's really no prob..."

She cut herself off short when she suddenly felt something brush past her leg roughly. Had she more of a voice she might have screamed, due to how sudden the sensation was. Yet for her, things tended to work opposite to most girls, for her voice dried up as if a vocal drought had occurred. She managed to catch a strange silvery color out of the corner of her eye, but she couldn't do anything about it now. She was frozen up with terror.

Oh god, what the hell was that, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god she frantically thought to herself, her face quickly shifting from shyness to panic.

It took more than a simple jolt to get Yvette to notice what was going on. 95% of her attention was now on the water. After several minor shakes, Yvette's attention had suddenly been regained. She didn't reply with words, but she managed to get a tiny nod of the head to voice her opinion on the subject.

She began to make her way to the edge of the pool to climb out, her eyes warily looking over the water. Apparently she hadn't been paying attention to something rather important, for rather suddenly she saw a bit of pale purple at the bottom of the water.

She looked down for a moment, and noticed that she was still covered over the top. Which meant that her bathing suit bottom had failed her somehow, leaving her a bit more exposed down below than she really wanted. Her face was now bright red, her heart was beating fast, and now she wasn't certain as to what she should do. If she got out of the water, she'd basically be flashing her naked lower body to Alease. If she didn't get out, that thing that brushed up against her leg might return.

Why didn't I put my towel at the edge of the pool instead of putting it so far away? she mentally chastised herself in a slight panic. In her uncertainty, she had once again frozen in place.

A silver arrow of scales or segments glided down to where Yvette was looking. It paused, floated, then opened a mouth that was half as long as it was in length and snatched the purple cloth up by a string and darted into the shallows. Two more silvery things followed it, and in no time they had cut the cloth to little purple ribbons and scattered them about the bottom of the pool.

That did leave one unaccounted for. The one that had its long, thin razor-maw slowly rising up out of the water and directed at Alease's outstretched hand.

Alease darted back as she shouted her eyes widening. She turned around and crawled to grab Yvette's towel grabbing it and holding it out to her before she simply through it towards her. Small tears coming down her face.

"H-here take it, just please hurry!"

She pleaded her hand shaking her body covered in goose bumps. She stood and started to back up slightly. She was not going to go with out her, what was going on here? she was so confused?

"Whats going on!?"

The four silver snakes darted through the water. It seemed their attention was suddenly diverted. One by one they shot away toward the deeper waters of the pool.

There were a few small splashes from the deep end, the shimmer of wet things slithering quickly away across the tiled floor of the room and out of sight. And then there was silence.

Her purple eyes fixated themselves upon the movement on the other side of the room. Whatever the things were (for a lack of a better name), they moved fast. Her lower body was sprawled out on the concrete as she watched, the wet towel being the only thing that was covering her.

Her heart felt like it was going to explode from all the beating it was doing. For a moment, she felt like the world was standing still, where she herself was held in place by some force unknown to her. It was just her mind playing with her, preventing her from doing the simplest of tasks.

It was only when the other girl who had witnessed this watery nightmare yelped out in panic that Yvette regained a bit of her composure. Pushing her body up and holding the soggy towel around her hips, she ran to the door (ignoring that rule about running about a pool) and pushed the button the girl had forgotten to push.

She didn't say anything, but in an equally as cowardly fashion, Yvette fled. Her mind was still racing in panic, but her feet knew where they would be safe. Her dorm room. She'd be safe there. She would!
