Remi shot his hands back at the sight of tears. He didn’t expect her to get that worked up, but then again, he was getting carried away. The idea seemed exciting to him that he felt happy and giddy at once, wanting to see if it actually worked or not, but he didn’t take into account that she might think differently. Off the bat, he already knew they were different and didn’t see eye to eye. Her idea of fun was vastly different to his, and now he saw that he went a step too far. She probably thought that not only was he crazy, but was some sort of creeper who could possibly hurt her. Oh crap! He didn’t want that.
“Oh god. I’m so sorry. I..I got excited. I swear, I’m not trying to hurt you or anything. I s**t. I’m sorry. Um..” He patted his pockets to look for something she might use to clean up her face. What would people think of him if they saw that he made a girl cry? It made him look like one of those jealous, abusive boyfriend or a stalker who broke the restraining order.
“Here. I’ll take the books. You..you go and wash up. I’m sorry. I really am. I’ll…I’ll deliver the books, I promise. I won’t even drop them or dirty them up anymore. Scout’s honor.” PLEASE let her stop crying!! Every streak of mascara was making him feel more and more like a heartless jerk.

She heaved a huge, shuddering sigh when he finally let go and seemed to come to his senses. Dry sobs were still wracking her body, but she nodded without any sort of hesitance and handed him the book - Aggie just wanted to get far, far away from this guy. He said sorry, but how soon until he went off again? She didn't want to take that risk, not at all.
"T-thank you." It was a meekly voiced appreciation, but her mother had always said to be polite and gracious and oh god, what if her lack of thanks would make him fly over the edge? "I.." What was there to say? "B-bye."
Gracious and polite maybe, but she backed away from him slowly, keeping eye contact until she met a corner and turned to run as fast as she could. Screw Mr. Graves, she wasn't going back to English class in a good, long while - nevermind detention or disciplinary action. If she had her way she was never, ever going back there.
Not with Crazy Guy there too.
