Melinda took his hand as she thought over the name he given her. Where had she heard it before? After a moment, she smiles before nodding "My brother has said your name before. He into video games now, well the Halo War series anyways." with a chuckle, she nods her head in respect "I'm Melinda Reese, or Mel if you prefer."
Giving his hand a gentle squeeze she shakes her head alittle "Not a gamer sadly, my brother tried to get me to play. But after getting killed three times, he took his controller back form me. Then proceeded to push me out of his room." with a sigh, she shrugs alittle "I'm more of an outdoor girl anyways."
"So is that money for the new Assassins Creed 2?" she wasn't a video gamer, but she knew the games thanks to her little brother. And that game happen to be on her brother 'must have list'.

-Oh my god.
Had he drown in that fountain?
Because obviously this was an angel standing before him, casting out the name of today holy grail. Yes.. that's what he was after, he nodded dumbly.
Every word she spoke struck a chord in him that could only be classified as delightful. When he was done staring at her, in obvious shock, he finally spoke, testing out her name on his lips, pulling it out into the three syllables as if it were a song.- "Melinda"
-He liked it, he really did. It was sort of uncommon, pretty, and it lead to one of those fun dude nicknames. Sam, Alex, Mel.. he'd always liked that.-
"I'd be more than happy to teach you a bit if you wanted. I've got quite the collection, I'm sure I could find something you'd like."
-His confidence was finally creeping back from the moment of awe.- "You want an autograph for him? It'll only cost you a little sugar" -Not even on the lips, he tapped his cheek playfully, smirk returning.-

Melinda shook her head alittle, as she lifts her hand to brush at her hair "I think I'm hopeless at video games. My brother couldn't even teach me, and he eight years old." she didn't mind admitting it, after all she tried to play and that was all that counted. If she hadn't tried, then it would be a different matter.
But that didn't seem to matter to her as he asked a simple question. Her eyes lit up as she thought about it. Her brother would be so thrilled if he gotten an autograph from L U C. But for a kiss? Hmmmm...
Turning her head towards the shops again, she looks back at Lucas for a moment "Would you sign a copy of Assassins Creed 2 for him, if I gave you a kiss?"

"I'll sign anything you like." -He nodded matter of factly. Paper, the game, her boobs. God.. if she asked him to sign her boobs... He had to stop himself before he started drooling.
Following her gaze to the gaming shop, he motioned for her to follow, walking back towards the store that had caused him so much guff this morning. It had been a blessing in disguise now he could see.
When they reached the door, he held it open for her and let her make her way in before making sure to stomp his soggy shoes real nice and hard on the carpet inside the door. Just a little 'gift' for making him fountain dive.-

Picking up her flute case, Melinda follows Lucas towards the shop.Rather enjoying the warmth of the store once she was inside. With a smile to the clerk behind the counter, she glances around before she slips through the people towards the Xbox 360 section. A smile forms on her lips as she picks up a copy of the Xbox version.
She could already hear the delightful scream coming from her brother when he open the package. Not only would it be the game he wanted, but it would be sign. She would be the best big sister ever.
Turning, she waves towards Lucas as she holds the copy in her hand. She would have him sign it after she paid for it.

-Whilst she was going to get her game, Lucas had strolled up to the counter, slapping down his dripping wad of bills, plus the nice crisp $5, and all the change from his pockets. The clerk could count out what was needed. He simply grinned a grin that screamed silently 'I won you b*****d!'.- "My reserved copy please."
-The clerk did his job, the the irritation was clear on his face however. When Luc was done, and had his prized 'homework' within his grubby paws, he stepped aside, motioning for Melinda and letting her up to the counter to pay for hers.
He waited, 'accidentally' leaning up against the strategy guides as he did. They were trash anyway in his opinion, but also his one final silent 'don't mess with me again' message left for the store. He grinned all the time, musing softly.- "You're a real nice sister, you know."

Moving back to the counter, Melinda smiles to the clerk as she sets her own copy of the game down in front of him. Looking towards Lucas, she shakes her head alittle as she shrugs "He my little brother, even if he a pain sometimes. I wouldn't trade him in for the world." there was a time she thought different, until that one day he fell. Her life changed, and so did her actions towards her little brother.
Pulling out her wallet again, she hand the man her debit card "Beside, his birthday is coming up. And this would just be the perfect gift to get him, even if I can't be there." signing the receipt, she hands it back to the clerk as she picks the game back up "Thank you."
Turning back towards Lucas, she grins at him as she holds the game in both her hands.

"It's a shame" -He insisted, sincerely enough. He certainly wasn't the sincerest guy out there, but he had his okay moments, and this was one of them. He was an only child. He recognized from other girls at school how hard it was to be away from family sometimes.
Taking her game lightly, he opened up the case, fishing for a pen before he scrawled something on in the inside, a seven digit number on the receipt the clerk had placed inside. His phone number of course.-
"On the game cover or manual?" -He recited. It wasn't like he signed a ton of things, but he'd done a few in the past couple of years. Geeks were fans of other geeks it would seem.- "Anything special you want it to say?"

Leaning forward, she peeks at the first thing he wrote down. His number? That wasn't something she was expecting, but it made her smile even more. She glance up at him before she nods "Cover, he losses the manuals all the time." Lifting her hand, she rest it on his arm. Giving it a gentle squeeze, it was her way of saying thank you.
Turning towards the counter, she smiles to the clerk again "Can I borrow that pen again please?" withe a nod to him, she takes the pen as she turns back towards Lucas "Figured you might like to have my number, you know in case you ever feel like hanging out again."

-Slipping the paper out from under the protective paper, he paused for a moment thinking. Luckily enough, he someone had enough decency to keep profane words out of the message for an eight year old. "Keep on drivin', keep on gunnin'" said the short message, followed by the large L U C, completing the words of his tag name in straight lines underneath each letter.
Paper replaced he looked up surprised as she offered, but obviously pleased. A phone number was better than a kiss any day. Popping open his own game, he handed her the manual with a wink.- "In here then. I'll think about you ever time I play."
-His day had gone from suck to bliss in just an hour. Today was a good day for good old Lucas Hendricks.-

Writing her name down, followed by her number on the manual, she looks up at Lucas with a grin as she takes her own copy back "Thank you so much. Seriously, my bother is going to freak out when he see this." turning back towards the clerk, she hands the pen back to him before turns back to him "And as I promised.." leaning up, she brushed her lips against his cheek or rather close to his lips at least.
Pulling back, she smiles at him before she slips past Lucas.
Heading towards the door, she looks over her shoulder towards him for a moment. With a smile she slips out the door back into the cool air of outside. Glancing down at her clock, she eyes the time. She still had about a couple of hours until she had to actually sit down and practice.
She couldn't help but wonder if she would be to forward to ask Lucas if he like to join her for some tea.

-Thu thump went the boy's heart as her lips touched him, trailing dangerously closer to his lips then he imagined the little 'toll' would. The only thing that saved the girl from some sort of physical contact was the fact that his hands were full between the game and pen.
He watched her walk, wondering if that look in her eyes had been a goodbye or an invitation to follow.
Well, he had to leave anyway, and there was only one door. Clipping the pen back to his pocket, he made his way back out into the sunlight. Soon enough he'd have to head back to school. Away from heaven and her angels.-

Melinda smiles at Lucas before she looks away "Thanks again, I know I have said that alot. But honestly, your the best." pushing her hand through her hair, she turns slightly towards him "Hey Lucas, I was wondering if you like to meet up again. Maybe hang out, grab some coffee or tea?" she wasn't honestly expecting him to say yes. But she had to at least try, just to say she did.
She did find him rather hot, but she knew her luck. He probably had a girlfriend, so she figured hanging out as friends would be better then anything "I mean, that is, if your not busy. Maybe you can help me learn how to play video games?"

-Oh his ego. Now that he was starting to dry a little bit more himself, he brushed his own fingers through his pale hair, nodding immediately to her request. Even if he HAD had a girlfriend, it wouldn't have stopped him. Men were supposed to sow their wild oats. Rules like a king lion over a harem of ladies.
He'd take her up on that offer, most definately.- "I've always got time for cool chicks like you Melinda."
-Fingers lifting in that universal symbol of the telephone, he grinned.- "I'll call you and we can figure out what we wanna do." -Tea wasn't really his thing, but could probably be swayed to it. Videogames in his room though... promising notion.-

Melinda giggles as she backs away "Alright, I should get going. Need to go get this game in the mail, then head back to school. Rather not be late for my flute practice." with a nod of her head, she lifts her hand to give him a small wave.
"I'll see you soon, it was great to meet you Lucas." turning, she makes her way down the sidewalk. One hand running through her hair as she moves through the crowds of people. A smile on her face as she makes her way back to the Academy.
